SShantingThis is my third time here. I really like this place. 🥺🥺🥺 It's very quiet. There's a small buffet in the morning, which I really enjoy. I hate those McDonald's and other breakfast places. But everyone should remember to bring their own toothbrush.

君品I chose this place for a short business trip primarily because it offered parking. I overlooked the 6 PM check-in time, so I had to go out and kill some time before returning. I had originally picked it thinking it was closer to Fukutang Ganban-yoku (rock bath). There are hardly any shops or amenities nearby, and it's located on a very busy road. The price wasn't particularly cheap either. At night, you can feel subtle tremors, almost like mini-earthquakes, caused by the frequent passage of large trucks. Earplugs are provided, but if you're sensitive to noise or have trouble sleeping, I strongly advise you to avoid this hotel. Personally, I was so utterly exhausted that I just collapsed into bed and slept, so it didn't bother me too much!

MMona(모나)The Hotel Royal Hsinchu is a budget-friendly option, perfect for business travelers. While the hotel doesn't have its own parking lot, there are public parking options nearby, like the 'Tu Ji Cheng' parking and the Hsinchu City Public Parking, both just a 3-minute walk away, making transportation quite convenient. The hotel also provides breakfast vouchers for two nearby breakfast shops, which offer good quality and delicious food. In terms of location, it's very well-situated with amenities close by. It's only about 3 minutes from MacKay Memorial Hospital, and near Tsing Hua University, Kuang Fu High School, McDonald's, and New Park. This makes it incredibly convenient for both business trips and short stays. Overall, it's a practical and value-for-money accommodation choice.

GGuest UserStaying at the Hua Tai Hotel (Hua Tai Classic Business Hotel) in Hsinchu is a bit like stepping back into the 1980s. It’s nostalgic, straightforward, and arguably the best ”bang for your buck” if you want to be right in the heart of the city. Here is a balanced review based on the current 2026 guest experience: The HighlightsPrime Location: You couldn't ask for a better spot for transit. It is a 3-minute walk from the Hsinchu Railway Station and within an 8-minute stroll to the City God Temple Night Market. If you enjoy being where the action is, this is it. Value for Money: For a budget-friendly price (often around $25–$30 USD), you get a surprisingly spacious room. Unlike many modern ”shoebox” hotels, these rooms have plenty of floor space. Breakfast Buffet: Many guests are pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. It’s a local spread—think braised pork rice (Lu Rou Fan), porridge, and stir-fried vegetables—alongside basic toast and coffee. Unexpected Perks: Even the budget rooms often come with a bathtub, which is a rare find at this price point. The hotel also offers free use of a washing machine on the first floor. The ”Old School” RealityVintage Vibes: The hotel is definitely showing its age. You’ll find wooden doors with traditional locks, dated carpets, and some ”dusty” corners. It’s clean where it counts (the sheets and towels), but it doesn’t feel ”modern.”No Central Heating: Like many older buildings in Taiwan, there is usually no heater in the rooms. If you visit during a cold snap in January or February, it can feel a bit chilly inside. Eco-Friendly Policy: As of 2025, they no longer provide disposable amenities (toothbrushes, combs, etc.) due to government regulations, so remember to pack your own! Windowless Rooms: If you book the ”Comfort” or ”Economy” tiers, be aware that many of these rooms do not have windows. The Verdict 7.5/10 — The Practical Traveler’s Choice If you are looking for a ”main character” aesthetic for your TikTok or a luxury spa experience, this isn't the place. However, if you need a safe, quiet, and incredibly convenient base for a night or two while exploring Hsinchu, Hua Tai Hotel is a reliable classic that won't break the bank.

我叫的A great choice for business trips. The room is spacious with a long desk. This time I stayed on the 6th floor and the hairdryer wasn't fixed, which was really convenient for drying hair. There's a free laundry room on the 10th floor. However, the room was a bit cold; even after turning off the AC, it was still quite cool, not sure why. I didn't book breakfast this time, and it costs an additional 100 RMB if you need it. The bathroom this time had a partition, which made it less awkward.

GGuest UserThe front desk service was excellent! Very welcoming. Cleanliness was good, but the toilet had to be flushed quite hard. It looked like an older building that had been renovated. There are many attractions and restaurants nearby.

GGuest UserThe hotel staff were very friendly, and there was a water dispenser in the lobby on the first floor. The downsides were that the room was too cold; even after asking the staff for two blankets, it was still very cold. The mattress was very hard, the shower had very little water flow, and the water temperature was either too hot or too cold, making it difficult to control. The toilet tank also had insufficient water.

GGuest UserThe bus is very convenient on the street downstairs. The train station is also close at hand, great, less than 100 meters from the moat, Dongmen City, it is really the preferred hotel for tourism.

WWu NelsonThe room is simple and clean, but the tables and chairs in the room are old and the bathroom is small. The breakfast has fewer types and is replenished quickly. Parking is inconvenient. The parking lot downstairs is a bit scary. It is more convenient to cooperate with the market parking lot.
