"I stayed at The Jensens and while the location is undeniably ideal, close to everything you need and in a vibrant, convenient area, the stay was let down by a major issue.
The soundproofing isn’t great, with doors frequently slamming throughout the property. However, given that it’s a hostel-style accommodation, this was something we were able to accept and move past.
What wasn’t acceptable, though, was the presence of rats in the walls and ceiling above our room. We were woken multiple times each night by loud scratching and scurrying noises, which was extremely unsettling and made it very difficult to sleep. We also have audio recordings that clearly capture the extent of the problem.
It’s a real shame, as the location is fantastic, but this issue seriously impacted our stay. I would strongly recommend that management address the pest problem as a priority."

"It was very quiet, and the room was quite spacious. Disposable toiletries aren't provided in many countries, which is more eco-friendly. Perhaps because there weren't many people, it didn't feel noisy. When we checked in, they even gave my child a DIY craft kit, haha. Hot water was only available at the bar, but it wasn't very convenient because it was from a coffee machine setup, not a water dispenser, so I felt a bit awkward going there repeatedly. The hotel is incredibly close to the subway station, which was the main reason I booked it. Overall, my stay was quite good."

"The location is great, right next to King's Cross metro station. There's a McDonald's, Woolworths, and Coles nearby, making it super convenient for food and groceries. However, it can get a bit rowdy at night; you can hear drunk people yelling on the street and police sirens from the room. There's no elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage, you might want to ask for a room on a lower floor. The kitchen isn't very clean, so if you plan on cooking, I'd recommend bringing your own pots. Despite these points, it's a good budget option in the area that includes breakfast, so it's still worth considering!"

"Great location, but you'll have a bit of a walk. You need to check in at 107-109 Darlinghurst Rd, Potts Point NSW 2011. Since I booked a cheaper room, I then had to walk 5 minutes to 144 Victoria St, Potts Point NSW 2011. I stayed in an 8-person dorm, so it was pretty crowded, but thankfully there was a balcony. The kitchen was large with plenty of tableware and cookware. However, the shower and toilet were quite small, and the power outlets had no electricity. The staff were very nice, and there was even a Chinese-speaking front desk agent, which was great. Breakfast was just average, with yogurt and toast. That's all."

"The first is impression is an ambience of the fresh fragrance to make me fall in love and really want to find out the secret of a hotel.
I would like family and friends to come and find out the mystery of the hotel and u will find out the different room type like a manor.
The service , staff, cleanliness, rate and waiting areas is reasonable and elegant atmosphere cause surround with lots of plants and I think it is a lead by example that Macley group need to touch base and follow the guide line from a SOP.

"Strong point: Ideal location close to the metro exit. It is possible to go to the center of Sydney on foot and if you walk around Victoria it is possible to have a very beautiful view of the Sydney landscape.
Weak point: The hotel has a laundry room, however it is a shame that it is not clean.

GGuest UserTraveling to Australia, the highest hotel. After I checked in, I really lived up to expectations and left a very good impression on me. I upgraded the most luxurious room type for free, with a bathtub and balcony, and the area was super large. The hotel is located in a deep alley, quiet and low-key; The hotel has a heavy sense of history and the design of materials is very solid. Breakfast is perfect, bedding is perfect, the environment is perfect, it is perfect!

OOuyang,RJI truly enjoyed my stay at Regent Courts Hotel. The property has a wonderful heritage charm, with its old building structure and a fascinating vintage lift — complete with a metal sliding door and wooden inner door that gave a nostalgic feel.
Spacious room with two queen beds, perfect for four people. Beds and duvets were very comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. The kitchenette was a great addition, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a Nespresso machine with capsules, milk packets, and other beverage sachets provided.
A drip tray and table cloth for drying utensils, pots, and plates would be helpful. The kitchen lighting was too dim in the evenings, making cooking difficult. The knife provided was not sharp and had a chip, which could potentially cause food contamination — replacing it would improve safety. Although a washer was available, we didn’t use it since the dryer was located on the ground floor, which felt inconvenient.
The Kings Cross train station is just a 5–7 minute walk away, making travel around Sydney easy. Both Woolworths and Coles supermarkets are about 7 minutes away at the end of the street, perfect for picking up essentials.
The staff — from front desk to housekeeping — were consistently polite and welcoming, adding warmth to the stay. A short train trip takes you to Bondi Junction, where you can catch a bus to Bondi Beach — ideal for spending a relaxing day by the ocean.
The rooftop was another relaxing spot. We visited briefly to take pictures and enjoy the fresh air.
Unfortunately, I was welcomed by tiny dead roaches in the toilet. On departure, I noticed a live one coming in and out of a cracked wall near the basin support. Addressing this issue would greatly improve the overall guest experience.
Overall, Regent Courts Hotel is a good place to stay for four nights. The shower, heater, water supply, safety, and lift all had no issues. Its location is accessible, close to supermarkets and the train station. The only drawback was the roach sightings, which should be addressed.

Reception - very friendly and helpful show me around.
Location - convenience at King Cross with 2 supermarkets, food shop, shopping centre.
Friendly roommates with all women.
Other backpackers are very respectful. No noise after midnight.
