"The hotel room is old anf has smell. A 2-star hotel acceptable clean but not really clean. The room has awful smell and very old. There are couple of flies flying around when we checked in. The bathroom does not have ventilator at all so all the smell just stay inside your room. There is no fly screen at the balcony/patio door so cannot open it for air circulating as afraid mosquitos and flies would enter the room. Not central air system. Just 1 unti AC so pretty noisy."

"We checked into the Best Western Lamplighter on Christmas Eve expecting the full experience the hotel is known for. Unfortunately, we found the restaurant completely closed. More surprisingly, there was no service at the poolside—no snacks, drinks, or even background music to create a holiday atmosphere. While the hotel itself is a nice facility, the lack of amenities during a peak holiday stay was a major letdown. If you’re booking for a holiday, be aware that 'full service' may not be available."

"The hotel is great-well lit, clean, quiet. Staff is friendly. A great place for family outings and also for conventions. The only complaint I had was there was no tea available in the room, just very good expresso coffee and more device plug ins for usb or usb-c without having to find electrical outlets for blocks. The room we had could have been a little bigger and roomier for the price we paid. It was a long room but accessible to the elevator and ice machine and the flooring is  weird and could be  plushier. (321) I Like the lights going on automatically under bed when getting up in the night. Had 2 queen beds which are comfortable. The pool is wonderful and so is the hot tub which is big( can accommodate 10). The cabanas are wonderful amenities. . Like the proximity to fun places, restaurants and bars and stores—-all within the confines of the Hard Rock Hotel. Important suggestion: because the hotel is attached to other businesses, security is important. 1. Maybe have a gate into the hotel proper with a security guard or paid guests could use room key to get into the hotel from the emporium or other businesses like restaurants.  2. Use room key to work the elevator so no other persons who are not authorized could enter the room floors. Will definitely stay there again. Appreciated getting late checkout. Reception girls are courteous and very helpful and friendly."

"Location is conveniently just off of the highway. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were doing several renovations/upgrades while we were there (early 2025), but hardly noticed (did not impact our stay). It will look great when the restaurant upgrades are done."
