"I brought my family to Xilamuren Grassland this time and we stayed at the Saibei Inn. The inn is right on the grassland, so stepping out, you're greeted by endless plains. The view is incredibly open and the air is fresh. In the mornings and evenings, you can enjoy a cool breeze, which is really refreshing. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding tidy, and all the basic amenities were provided, making for a comfortable stay. Both the owner and staff were very warm and genuine, always willing to help when needed. It's also very convenient for sightseeing around; horseback riding and other grassland activities are all nearby. You can even enjoy the grassland nightscape in the evening. We had a great experience with both the food and accommodation here. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to the grasslands."

"We brought our kids here for a summer vacation, and our journey took us from the desert to volcanoes and grasslands. I have to say, this was the best accommodation we had. The rooms were spacious and clean, and there were plenty of activities to do in the scenic area, so the kids were never bored. There were animals right outside the door, and once the scenic area closed at night, it was like a private amusement park. The butler was also very attentive and provided excellent service. I highly recommend it!"

"All resorts are remote from Hohhot, so we took a Didi from Hohhot to the resort. It took 1:50 hours. They resort itself is really nice. The yurts are comfortable and clean. There are plenty of activities that you can do around the resort. Just talk to the service people. We did horse riding, go car, saw a Mongolian show and every evening there is a fire show at the resort. A worker drove us to the activities. The food at the restaurant was a bit pricey but high quality."

We were fully worried about how tricky it would be to find and reach the hotel at first, expecting a stressful journey navigating the area. Every single member of the management team treated us like beloved family, not just random paying guests. "The hotel is located deep in the grassland, with an endless expanse of grassland right in front of you. The rooms are clean and hygienic, and each has a private bathroom, which is very convenient. The owners, a husband and wife, are very welcoming. I suggest that friends who come here bring warm clothes. Highly recommended, this place is great!"

The dinner and show were fantastic—featuring original-style Mongolian traditional dance and singing that felt authentic and captivating. Both lunch and dinner were excellent, and we were especially impressed by the Lamb Bao served at breakfast. Overall, the service and warmth from the people were genuinely good. That said, all the costs were quite expensive compared to what I'm used to after living and traveling in China for more than 10 years. I would recommend the horse riding off the main area, as they suggest, but the Happy Ranch was not that fulfilling—most of the rides and activities there weren't worth the time or money. That's an external activity though, so no discredit to the hotel itself. While we didn't end up using the actual amenities, the hospitality and cultural performance alone made the visit worthwhile. Balanced Short Version (Google/TripAdvisor): Great experience thanks to one of the owners, who personally organized activities for us. The dinner and show were a highlight—original Mongolian traditional dance and singing that was unique and impressive. "The location was originally very good, but because of the pedestrian street, the parking lot needed to go a long way, and the hotel entrance itself could not park, which was very bad. Fortunately, there was a clerk who came out to help and wear a hat in time to explain, and lead the way. Downstairs is the pedestrian street, not far from the lark temple. "After looking at many options, I finally chose this one. The scenic area has a wide range of activities, including horseback riding, archery, Mongolian cannons, tobogganing, go-karting, and you can even change into Mongolian robes for photos. The rooms are very clean, the beds are large, and the scenery is beautiful. It's the perfect choice for families with children. I highly recommend them when visiting the grasslands. They also offer 24-hour dairy cow butler service."
