"The guesthouse was beautifully designed, perfect for taking great photos, and ideal for a relaxing vacation. The best part was that the guy at the front desk recommended a fantastic late-night eatery – it was really delicious! During this trip, because of the weather, we just stayed in the guesthouse watching movies and listening to the rain outside; it was so relaxing."

"Extremely satisfied. You can see the owner's dedication everywhere, with all your leisure needs at your fingertips, offering care without intrusion. The location is right in the center of the Dong Village, so you can step out for meals and enjoy the lively bonfire party. Or, you can quietly sit in the exquisite courtyard, sipping tea and chatting, with a full range of teas and brewing tools provided. The swaying hydrangeas, the fragrant honeysuckle, red maples, succulents, money plants... every green plant you see reflects thoughtful design. I usually don't prefer B&Bs, but stealing two days of leisure here was a wonderful, calming experience. The mattress conformed to ergonomic support, and the toiletries were a complete set with gardenia scent. The room design matched the Dong Village style. In the lobby and rooms, there were also sets of books introducing the culture of Jiangkou County, along with other paperbacks. The laundry room had a washer and dryer, and even several types of laundry detergent to choose from – all in all, thoughtful arrangements without being intrusive. The set breakfast was light and varied, a nice change from the sour soup fish and beef found everywhere in Guizhou for lunch and dinner, helping to regulate the stomach. For a two-day trip to Fanjing Mountain, choosing this place was definitely the right decision."

"This hotel is reportedly the best standard in the Fanjing Mountain scenic area. It's very close to the Fanjingshan East Gate. The river facing the hotel rooms is incredibly clear. At night, with the windows open, falling asleep to the sound of the river brought back memories of childhood nights in the countryside. The bridge over the river is a fantastic spot for photos; it's very picturesque, featuring traditional ethnic themes and artistic elements, combined with classic Chinese covered bridge architecture. From the room, looking out, the river, bridge, and ancient willow trees perfectly form a beautiful painting."

"The owner was incredibly kind and even upgraded our room for free since we were a couple. The room we stayed in had an amazing view, with stunning mountain scenery right outside the window. It was especially beautiful in the morning, with mist swirling around the mountains – absolutely gorgeous! The interior decor was also very pretty and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the scenic area, and there are lots of great restaurants nearby, as well as plenty of places to grab breakfast. Getting to the city from the hotel was super convenient because the owner could help us call a taxi, which was much easier than taking the bus from the scenic area entrance."

"This was the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on! I had the best nights sleep. The room was really lovely, the bathroom had everything you could want. The only thing I was a little disappointed by was the front desk. She was really lovely, but gave me incorrect information on when the last bus left Tongren - she said it was 4pm but when I arrived at 5:30pm I was still able to get one. I also didn’t get any info on shortcuts etc that the other reviews mentioned, which is a big part of the reason I booked this place."

"Great B&B with strategic & convenient location with different choices of eateries within walking distance. Just a few minutes walk to FanjingShan entrance The owner sent us to KFC nearby with his car and fetched us back with his scooter as car not allowed to enter area where KFC is located. We booked 3 different rooms, all of them are spacious and with great design. This room is perfect for family gathering as we were on family trip. The only area of improvement is the floor that feels dusty on bare foot."

"Very close to the east gate of Fanjingshan, just a 10-minute walk. There are also some restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. The room is spacious and has a small balcony with a nice view. The room features smart home devices, which is a plus. The hygiene is excellent. All the bath towels are individually wrapped, and disposable bath towels are also provided, which is a thoughtful touch."

"The hotel is conveniently located about 300 meters from the east gate of Fanjing Mountain, within walking distance, and it even has its own parking lot. The room was spacious and very clean. I stayed in a river-view room, and it was so peaceful sitting on the balcony listening to the sound of the stream. The hotel also offers dining options. After hiking, it was incredibly comfortable to enjoy authentic sour soup beef in the courtyard (I ordered the small portion, and they gave a huge amount, plus it was fresh beef!). The owner was also fantastic. I was planning to visit the Grand Canyon the next day, but the hotel was so comfortable that I decided to extend my stay instead of leaving. All in all, I'm really glad I chose such a great hotel."

"A perfect experience! A hidden gem of a guesthouse at the foot of Fanjingshan. I specifically chose the Shanhe Xiaoyang Guesthouse for my trip to Fanjingshan, and the location is absolutely incredible – right next to the scenic area. It saved us the hassle of traveling, and we could easily start our journey on foot. The guesthouse interior was super clean, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, making for a very comfortable stay. The owner and staff provided exceptional service, answering all our questions and even proactively sharing hiking tips, which was incredibly thoughtful. The room was well-equipped, the TV had a clear picture, so we could relax and watch some shows after coming back in the evening. The biggest surprise was the free parking, so we didn't have to worry about parking at all since we drove. Next time I visit Fanjingshan, I'll definitely choose this place again!"
