Cleanliness- excellent. The room is clean n dust free which is important for me due yo my allergies. Location- excellent. It is a short walking distant to the entrance gate of the scenic area. Surrounding the hotel has many eateries which are less than 1 minute of walking. This makes dinning easier for a solo traveller. Services- excellent. The owner helped to arrange transport to pick me up upon arrival at the railway station and also for departure. The owner also helped to hang my washed clothes to dry when I was late to pick up my washed clothes. The owner also advised me on places to visit and even shares a plate of melon she bought. Every morning, I was greeted with big smile from the owner which made my day sunny. Overall, it was ab excellent stay. Highly recommended.

Zhaisha Dong Village is not big and can be visited in about an hour and a half. If you are taking the direct bus from Tongren Station / Tongren Bus Station, you shall alight at the Fanjing Mountain Tourist Information Centre and the homestay is just about 250m away. As we are foreigner and unclear of which direction to walk to, we contacted the boss to pick us up. The boss assisted with our luggage and guided us patiently on the directions. He suggested us to pay Zhaisha Dong Village a visit if time permits. The boss even drove us back and forth to as there isn't Didi service up in the mountain. The room of the homestay is spacious, clean and new. The boss and his father are super nice and enthusiastic. Fanjing Mountain is grand but has lots of bugs and mosquitoes. So do remember to bring along your insect repellent.

Peeling paint and mold were the less serious drawbacks of this place. When we checked in, we booked two rooms at different price points, but the hotel assigned us the cheaper one. After we complained, they claimed it was for our convenience. Secondly, I booked a room for my parents that included breakfast, but why did the hotel charge them for breakfast in the morning? My parents called me, and I quickly clarified that their room included breakfast, and only then was they not charged. The stay was extremely poor, and the hygiene was appalling.

Location is mins walk to fanjingshan ticket ctr and entrance. The bed is uncomfortable, cos I could feel the uneven part . Otherwise, it is a pleasant stay and Ah Kwang is very helpful. They also helped me to send my charger and updated me . At times there is no one at the counter but they respond fast via wechat. Don't eat at the breakfast shop next to it and street stall along the alley towards fanjingshan entrance.They will sell you food that's not fresh and oil that's rancid... horrible..
