"The hotel's location is a bit far from Jincheng Town, but Jinhu itself feels relatively new and clean. Downstairs, there's a duty-free shop, though it closes quite early. There's also a supermarket for late-night essentials, a McDonald's, and even a small night market. It's quite close to the Old Street, which is nice for a stroll, and there's a large, pleasant lake outside. Across the street, you'll find convenience stores, making it easy to grab anything you need. Dining options in the evening are a bit limited in the immediate vicinity. The hotel does have a restaurant, but the food is just okay. As for the rooms, they are pretty standard, with slightly older facilities, but they are clean. The breakfast was good, a bit pricey, but satisfying. There was a delicious coffee jelly, but unfortunately, it wasn't available the next day. If I get the chance to visit Kinmen again, I'd still consider staying at Jinhu."

"I had a really pleasant stay at Kivala Hostel. The place was very clean and well looked after, especially the bathrooms and sleeping areas, which made a big difference for a hostel. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with, and the check-in process was smooth. The location is quiet and peaceful, which I personally liked, though it’s a little away from the main busy areas — something to keep in mind if you want everything right outside your door. The common areas were comfortable and practical, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and respectful rather than noisy or chaotic. Overall, it’s great value for money and a solid choice if you want a clean, comfortable, and relaxed place to stay in Kinmen. I’d happily stay here again."

SSightsee BugWhen we were looking for accommodation in Kinmen, I wasn't sure I wanted to book a B&B. Looking at the accommodation available in Kinmen, it seems the majority are B&B and homestays. After having stayed at Zhu Shan Gandee, we finally realised that a good number of the traditional buildings in many of the ”villages” have been converted into accommodation. This one was in the Zhu Shan village where there are other B&Bs. There are no shops or restaurants in this village but downtown Jincheng is only a short drive away. This village is really nice and quiet (as would others I am guessing) and Zhu Shan Park is just a short stroll behind the house from which a top view of the village can be seen. Strolling around the village, this house stands out as more modern and attractive and the nicest in presentation (in my humble opinion). Inside, the common areas are excellent, well presented and homely. There are 2 courtyards to relax in and their atmospheres are so welcoming. We were out most of the time so didn't really spend too much time indoors enjoying what was on offer. Our room was a tad small but we love having a bidet to use. The bed was comfortable. A simple bread and jam breakfast is available if you choose to have it. There is plenty of ”help yourself” bottled and packet drinks in the fridge and in boxes on the floor if you don't want to drink them cold along with make yourself tea and coffee. There are no cooking facilities but there is a microwave. Finally, the lady host is really helpful and awesome. We rented a car so didn't need to be picked up. But she would go out of her way to ensure your stay is most comfortable and enjoyable. That hospitality personified.

The entire building is open-plan; anyone can come and go (but there are full security cameras). The kitchen lacks a microwave. :) The entire building and the room are clean and tidy. The surrounding environment is sparsely populated and quiet. There's a bus stop nearby, a three-minute walk away. The bathroom has strong hot water. The kitchen has an induction cooker, cookware, tableware, a refrigerator, etc., making it convenient to cook. There are two open-air courtyards, one large and one small, which are great for relaxing and chatting. Overall, it's good and suitable for group bookings.

The room can fully unfold two 20-inch suitcases (more than enough space). The public areas on the first and second floors provide warm water, iced water, refrigerators, thermoses, and brewed drinks, which is really considerate👍 The owner of the B&B is very kind and patient, and introduced us to many Kinmen attractions. If you arrive early on the day of check-in or take a late flight on the day of check-out, the owner of the B&B also said that you can stay in the B&B and store your luggage👍 The room provides a hair dryer, mouthwash cup, hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, towels, bath towels, indoor slippers, the bedside table also has a sound function, there are enough sockets, and the water volume and temperature of the bathroom in the room are large. The mattress is moderately soft and hard, and each person is provided with a high and low pillow. You can choose the right pillow for yourself. I slept well these few nights~ The owner of the B&B lives upstairs. You can feel that the owner of the B&B is very caring and treats every guest attentively. If there is any help needed, you can find someone to help immediately! The transportation location of the B&B is convenient. There is Model Street nearby, and there are many snacks, all of which can be reached on foot. This time we walked to the General Military Office to participate in the night tour of Houpu Town and walked through the civil defense tunnel on the second floor of Jincheng Station (these are all free guided activities). Although the B&B is in a busy area, it is very quiet at night and you can sleep well. The B&B cooperates with Anxin Car Rental. You can rent a motorcycle or car, or participate in the 7 guided driving routes of Taiwan Travel.

The fried dough sticks are super crispy and delicious – worth waking up early for! The room has a fridge, which is great for keeping drinks. The only downside is that the fridge compressor sometimes makes a noise, but I'm a heavy sleeper, so I didn't hear it at all while sleeping. All the facilities are perfect. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!
