"Unexpectedly good, perhaps my expectations weren't high to begin with. First off, the room was on the executive floor with a lake view, and the scenery was excellent, even better at night. I have photos to prove it, and I was very satisfied with this. There are also popular photo spots like the telephone booth nearby. The food street is within walking distance, and the Livestock Research Institute is great for a visit. Further afield, the Gaodong Tunnels are also fantastic! The executive lounge offered standard snacks and drinks, but their special cocktail was a fruity drink with a hint of alcohol, which was right up my alley. The breakfast included incredibly delicious braised pork rice. You could add as much braised pork as you liked, and it was even better than the braised pork rice I had at two popular Kinmen influencer restaurants over the past couple of days. The breakfast selection was also quite rich. The room itself was great in all aspects, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The only thing I wasn't used to was that they only provided one reusable bottle for water (I've traveled all over the world, and many hotels in Europe and America aren't this 'eco-friendly'), but it's a minor detail. The fridge also had complimentary drinks. So, all in all, it's a five-star review! I highly recommend staying at this hotel!"

"I specifically booked the Moon Hostel for my Kinmen trip, and my overall stay far exceeded expectations. I absolutely have to write a glowing review and recommend it! The whole environment is meticulously clean and tidy. You need to change into slippers when going upstairs, which the owner provides for free – such thoughtful attention to detail. The rooms have wooden bunk beds with high-quality mattresses. Each bed has its own outlet and bedside lamp, along with a blackout curtain, ensuring maximum privacy so you won't be disturbed at night. The mattress firmness was just right; after a long day, I slept incredibly soundly. The room floor was clean and dry, and the common areas were cleaned daily. There was none of the usual clutter or strange smells often found in hostels. The location is truly unbeatable for getting around and finding food. Next door are Cosmed and 7-Eleven, and just a short walk downstairs are all sorts of snack shops – everything you could need. There's a 24-hour convenience store at the intersection, making it super convenient for daily snacks, drinks, and toiletries. It's also very close to Jincheng Station, saving time and effort for transportation and visiting nearby attractions, which is especially friendly for solo travelers. The owner is incredibly welcoming and patient, answering any questions before and after check-in with great detail, making communication easy and comfortable. The hostel also offers free luggage storage and simple cooking facilities, which is very convenient for storing bags when you're out. The entire stay was quiet and comfortable, offering excellent value for money. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and at ease. If I come back to Kinmen, I will definitely choose this place again. I sincerely recommend it to any solo travelers! I really, really recommend everyone choose this place when visiting Kinmen!!!"

"I came to Golden Gate for 3 days because of important things, but I was lucky to live in this great homestay. The antique triad, the double room with a private bathroom, washing machine, and perfect equipment. The boss & the proprietress tried their best to meet the needs of the guests, and cleaned the environment very clean and tidy. Service includes: free pick-up and drop-off, free breakfast. The breakfast is super delicious, it is a fresh sugar-free soy milk, local steamed buns, meat buns, and even 3 days of eating. I really recommend everyone to choose this homestay when you go to Golden Gate 😁"

"Clean and comfortable Room. Hotel is near to bus stop. Can take 7, 7A, 7B. From ferry station to 西南门里公所 NTD12 per person. Taxi will not be metered and asked to paid for the price of NTD. First time to this island, hopefully, the rest of the traveller can prevent the mistake."

"The guesthouse offers airport or pier pick-up and drop-off services. It's basically a converted house, but the rooms are nice and well-equipped, and most importantly, they're very new. The owner is very helpful and grateful for reminding us about the typhoon the next day, urging us to go to the pier early to wait in line, as the ferry was only operating two trips due to the typhoon. We arrived early and got a spot on the waiting list, thus avoiding the risk of not being able to get to Xiamen. They also held our room until check-out time so we could continue staying if we couldn't make it to Xiamen."

"Extremely satisfied! 1. Service: All the staff at the hotel provided very thoughtful, meticulous, and attentive service. Everyone had a sunny smile on their face and was able to respond to our needs immediately at any time. 2. Facilities: The hotel room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the toiletries in the bathroom were also of good quality. The TV had many channels, and the KTV added another layer of fun for us. 3. Breakfast: It was incredibly rich and very delicious; we still can't stop thinking about it. "What I liked: the location is very convenient if you’re coming to Kinmen from Xiamen. The homestay is walking distance from Shuitou Port (about 15 minutes). The owner is a very friendly and helpful person. He helped me rent an electric motorcycle and responded very fast to all of my text messages. The homestay is clean (the cleaning lady is very kind, too! ^^). There’s a lot of storage space as well as lockers. The shampoo and body wash in the bathroom were also really nice. What could be improved: the bunk beds consists of a wooden plank and bedding, so it was quite hard and a bit uncomfortable. However, I still managed to sleep well and there’s enough privacy. There are no locks in the homestay. Basically anyone from outside can access the public areas and the room with the bunk beds, which can be scary for some solo travelers. However, the homestay has security cameras and Kinmen is very safe in general, so I was never really worried. The door of the room is quite heavy and makes a lot of noise, so this is something to be mindful of when it’s late and you’re sharing the room with other guests. All in all, I had a great experience and would stay here again. I’m really happy to have had the opportunity to stay at a traditional house for such an affordable price."

"I stayed at this hotel for a three-night, four-day trip to Kinmen. The location is excellent; it's only a 5-10 minute scooter ride to the popular milk tea street where most tourists gather. Facilities: It has a fridge and microwave. I booked a 6-person room, and everything inside looked quite new. Each person has their own locker. There are free snacks and instant noodles available on the first floor. Hygiene: The place was very clean, making for a comfortable stay."

The room is even more pleasant, not only exactly the same as the picture, but even more spacious and bright. The facilities are all available and very new, and the comfort of the mattress and pillows is extremely high, ensuring a good night's sleep.
