"The hotel is located in Haokun Village. After exiting the highway, it's a ten-minute drive along a mountain road, including two steep downhill sections with sharp turns, which can be dangerous at night. There's an entrance fee to the village, but hotel guests are exempt from the entrance fee. After crossing a distinctive covered bridge, you'll see the hotel at the end of the lake. This hotel is arguably the best in Haokun Lake in terms of appearance, size, and facilities. Our room was spacious, with a nice view of the lake from the window. The only drawbacks were the steps around the sink and bathtub, and the slightly sunken bathroom floor. Although the hotel had marked the steps, it was still easy to slip and fall. The showerhead had a strong water pressure and was easy to use; the hairdryer and other amenities were good. The front desk staff were very friendly and attentive. Since there's no elevator, they carried our luggage up and down the stairs; any amenities we needed were promptly delivered to our room. Their service was commendable! When we visited, the hotel restaurant was under renovation, so only a simple breakfast was available. Dinner had to be found outside; there were several restaurants near the covered bridge, and the food was decent. Haokun Lake has beautiful scenery and clear, emerald-green water, but it is smaller than Quyang Lake. In winter, the water volume is not abundant enough, so the scenery is not as good as in summer."

"Advantages: I am very satisfied with the room type. It has two bedrooms, one living room and three bathrooms. It is suitable for bringing older children. The view from the room is great. Each room has a large terrace. The terrace of the living room and master bedroom faces Haokun Lake and the distance. The mountain peaks we stayed in were misty and rainy for a few days, and from a distance it looked like an ink landscape painting. Disadvantages: The service attitude at the front desk was lukewarm. We arrived at the hotel at 11 o'clock in the evening because the room was not in the main building, but in another small building. It was dark outside and there was insufficient lighting. There was no waiter to take us to the room, so we had to fumble around by ourselves. Looking for a room, and there is no elevator and no attendant to help carry the suitcases. The room is hygienic. I don't know if the sheets in the master bedroom have been changed or washed, but there are water stains and hair. Others are basically satisfactory. There are very few breakfast varieties, only rice noodles are relatively delicious, and the rest are unpalatable."

There is a ready-made museum near the hotel, which is within walking distance. The only problem is that the room booking process is a little slow."

However, self-driving visitors, please be aware: the guesthouse is quite far from the official boat ticket office for Haokun Lake. You'll need to drive at least another 3 kilometers down a very narrow and steep road to reach the guesthouse. If you encounter oncoming traffic on a slope during this drive, you're in a lot of trouble – it's very dangerous and inconvenient! There's no way around it… When we left the guesthouse, we unfortunately encountered this exact situation. We were stuck for a long time, and all the oncoming cars had to back up, turn around, and leave before we could finally pass. With so many guesthouses in the mountains, this unresolved road issue is a huge hidden danger and inconvenience! I highly recommend that those with time also visit the Naling Cave underground karst cave in Lingyun County; it feels like entering another world."
