It was my first time staying in a *yaodong* (cave dwelling). While it's a replica, not an authentic one, the experience was incredibly immersive and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious, featuring a huge, clean bed. The decor, with local elements like Shaanbei paper cuttings, truly highlighted the distinctive regional character. The guesthouse features a sizable courtyard with convenient parking right at the entrance. The yard is brimming with various home-grown vegetables, which the owners thoughtfully use to prepare fresh, eco-friendly meals for their guests. Nights here are wonderfully quiet, and the stars shine brilliantly in the sky – making it the perfect place to stay for a few extra days to simply relax and unwind. The service was exceptionally warm and hospitable; the owners were always ready to provide detailed information and answer any questions first-time visitors might have.
