"It was a convenient location but lots of noisey people seem to congregate late in the evening and needed window open due to heat. Would have been fine in cooler weather with window closed.  I found all the staff very friendly and would stay again. Room was spacious."

"Location is near to train station, accessible to airport via the S1 or S8. There’s a tram stop right outside the hotel, and a supermarket across the street.  Staff service from an Asian lady at reception was transactional during our first check in. When we returned 2 days later, the african staff was warm and hospitable. Both days we got early check in.  Breakfast spread was decent, but better than other hotels we stayed in Germany.  Room size was good, just that the water pressure was a little low."

"I stayed at the Holiday Inn Munich City Centre for a business trip and overall had a good experience. The hotel is in a very convenient location, directly connected to the S-Bahn station, making it easy to reach both the airport and the city center. The rooms are clean, functional, and well equipped — ideal for business travelers. The Wi-Fi works well, and the breakfast is rich and varied, with friendly and attentive staff. The common areas are spacious and modern, and there are several well-organized meeting rooms available. On the downside, the atmosphere is quite “business-like,” so don’t expect a particularly cozy or boutique feel. Also, since it’s a large hotel, it can get a bit busy and noisy in the public areas. Overall, it’s a good business hotel with reliable service and a solid value for money. I would recommend it for business trips or for anyone looking for a practical, well-located base to explore Munich."

"It's 8-10 minutes away from the station. There are small shops, restaurants, and bakeries nearby. It's not a busy place, but it feels safe to go in and out. There are 4 stations away from the central points such as St. Mary's Square. The one-way fare is 4.1 euros, so I walked for about 30 minutes. The hotel has no air conditioning. No air conditioning. "The room was pretty small for 3 people, we only stayed for one night so it was an enough space for one night. Service was great throughout although we had to check out on 10:30AM max - I wish it could have been later. Location is excellent - next to train station, expect train noises but mostly we slept through the noises. No air conditioning but the window can be opened for a breeze of air. You get what you pay with the price which is a good deal!"

"The hotel’s service and location are excellent, and the cleanliness is also acceptable. However, there are quite a few homeless people in the surrounding area, which makes it a bit unsettling at night. In the evenings and afternoons, there are often sounds of arguments involving homeless people and drunk individuals. While the hotel itself is great, the surrounding environment can be somewhat off-putting... By the way, the hotel doesn’t provide a kettle, slippers, or toiletries like toothbrushes, so remember to bring your own."

"The hotel is conveniently located with direct connection to the airport and main sightseeing sights. The bus stop is closed too. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The hotel breakfast was great with plenty of hot and cold selection. I got the upgraded Wifi service as part of the room package which was more than sufficient for business use."

"Service: The guy at the front desk spoke excellent English, easy to understand with no accent, and check-in was very quick. Breakfast was great, with a good variety and delicious options. The mini bar was a big plus – you could refill drinks for free, free, free~! There's a LIDL supermarket just 50 meters away, which was really convenient. There's also a Bavarian-style restaurant nearby that serves sausages and pork knuckles and stays open until after 10 PM. Hygiene: The drainpipe under the sink did have a bit of a sewage smell, so remember to plug it. The hotel itself feels safe and has a safe in the room, but it's very close to the train station, and you can tell the area is a bit mixed, with quite a few Black people. I'd recommend trying not to return too late at night."

AAnonymous UserI stayed here for 3 nights and honestly, I’m very disappointed. Let’s start with the positives: the location is excellent. Right opposite the train and metro station, Lidl & Rewe supermarkets nearby, and just a straight 15‑minute walk into the old town. Super convenient. But unfortunately, that’s about it. Service was really flat — communication with reception was very standard, nothing warm or welcoming. The room itself was on the small side (clean, yes, but definitely not spacious). The real disappointment: water policy. The hotel only provides ONE small bottle of water per day per room. That’s for two people. On my first day, I asked reception for an extra bottle — they told me to go to the bar. Fine, I got one there. On the second day, since we skipped housekeeping, there was no water refill, so at night I went to the bar again to ask for another bottle. This time the staff told me I had to pay. I was completely shocked. A 4‑star hotel charging €200 per night… and they won’t even provide guests with a simple bottle of still water? I’ve stayed in so many hotels across Europe and this is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. Even more absurd, the hotel leaves free apples at reception and offers unlimited water at breakfast — but refuses to give guests a bottle of water to take to the room? Ridiculous. This policy really ruined what could have been a good stay. For a “collection” hotel brand, I expected much more in terms of service and hospitality. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel.

DDCRYBuilding is located around 400m from Siemenswerke station but the walk is not sheltered so need to take note of rain/snow. Room is spacious and comes with washing machine and cooking wares. Toilet does not have sufficient wet and dry separation so unable to on the showerhead fully without water flowing out to the dry area. I went during the holiday season so the service staff was unable to respond to my query on one of the days of the holiday period. Room price is considered reasonable to me given that I booked during the holiday season and it comes with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

GGuest UserThis hotel is close to the train station, but the opposite side is being demolished. The window of the room I stayed in was very small. It should be suitable for sharing a window next door, but this window is only a quarter of a window. The room is rectangular, and there is plenty of space on both sides, but the bed and the wall are too close, and the suitcase can't be dragged by people. The aisle is very narrow, so the suitcase can only be carried over the bed, and most people can't carry it at all. There was no hot water for showering on the last day. In short, this room is not a good room. Ctrip is cheating me again. Ctrip has been cheating me recently.

AAKADAI stayed here on New Year's Eve. I had heard that the New Year's fireworks in Munich never stopped, so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to sleep, but the room was very quiet and airtight, so I was able to sleep peacefully. It's a very unique and interesting hotel, but it was disappointing that the bed was expensive and difficult to use, and that there were no slippers or bathrobes. Other than that, I think it was good.

GGuest UserI stayed only for one night! I didn't stay long enough! The service was good! It was very comfortable! Clean and the breakfast was good😌. The attractions in Munich are relatively close! It's very close to the Charlie Post and nearby hotels! You can also go there for business trips. It's a few steps to the subway station, and it's also good to go to the University of Munich! You can eat the famous pork knuckles in a few steps!

\\O_O/Given the comments I read from other travellers, the hotel actually has far exceeded my expectation. First of all, there is a U-bahn station right next to the hotel, which takes you only 2 minutes to the central station. The room is spacious, clean and air-conditioned, which is rather rare among other hotels in Germany. It also comes with a large window, which makes the entire room bright and cosy. The front-desk service is 24 hours. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

AAsh76OK - the good - The rooms are spacious, bed is large, the bathroom is lux with marble floors. it is also in a great location. It is close to the train station and has a Lidl behind it. The barman Jan is friendly and helpful. And the not so good - The rooms do not have a fridge, a microwave and not even a kettle! When I enquired about the tea and coffee facilities, I was curtly told if I wanted coffee I could buy it downstairs. It is difficult to understand how a hotel can justify a 4 star rating if it doesn't have anything more than a bed and a bathroom. And then there is the room temperature. It's a furnace in the room I think the temperature was set to 29 degrees C!! And the room temperature can't be changed in room. Only the reception can. Even if they change it, it resets the next day. I'm not sure why this hotel needs a sauna... Just stay in the room. As has been noted in another review on Tripadvisor, this issue is ongoing. He noted it in 2017 and again in 2019 but nothing has changed. Secondly is the staff attitude. They aren't rude but not friendly either. Likely they are worn down by the same issues getting raised while they are powerless to change it themselves. Unsurprisingly, I was not offered a late check out. The main advantage of location is lost by all the disadvantages. If that's why you want to stay here, don't let the photo's trick you, book another better hotel nearby.
