Peebles Hotels with Wifi

"Hotels was great service was fab and food in restaurant great. Only thing missing is a jacuzzi in the spa. Our trip was spoilt by the reception charging us twice for our accommodation. Already paid via trip.com and then got home to discover the hotel had also charged directly. Despite informing Hotel of this error on day of departure, a week later and multiple tel call we still haven’t the money returned to our account. As a result we will not be returning as very poor post trip customer care!"

"It really is outdated, compared to other spas and hotels of similar ilk. For instance I stayed at Dunked house, it was night and day. The staff are great but the place needs a lot of money spent on it. In our room 317 we hd a television that had half the screen darker than the other half, good thing we didn't go here to watch the telly. The pool area was nice but needs refurbed. The big steps taking you down the front are dangerous for elderly people, they are patched up and in a very, very, ”note the two very's” bad state to of affairs to say the least. Would I stay here again, probably not till the place has been upgraded. Looking at what I have seen of the hotel, this is going to take millions of pounds to do. I enjoyed the archery, the wee girl was a great help. To be fair the staff are lovely but things really need to improve on the hotel side. "

"Well it was once my family home, I come from the Murray's of black barony on my mother's side. Everyone was very kind and helpful, the place looks like it could do with a lick of paint but it is an ancient building I suppose. The ground and surrounding trees are beautiful, the ceilings could be higher but I suppose people weren't so tall back in those days although my grandfather was 6 foot 5 and I'm 6 foot 2 so I think my family are mostly quite tall. It was grand but not as grand as I had imagined from the photos and my mental image of the place having never visited before but knowing it was built by my aristocratic family. I half expected a free cup of tea and a slice of cake which I jokingly mentioned to the staff when I booked my stay 😂, but you know as with any chain these personal privileges can't be authorised without going to head quarters probably in some other country like America?"

"Had a great 4-night stay at the Tontine. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Food was delicious and there was a good choice. Our favourite place was in the lounge on a comfy sofa with a cocktail. Hope to stay again."

"The room is simple and elegant, clean and tidy, warm and romantic. The butler-style service is meticulous and makes people feel at home. The hotel has an excellent environment, embedded in a wonderful hillside, surrounded by trees and green grass, with cattle and horses roaming behind it. The Western-style breakfast is delicious and hearty, and the service is attentive, making people forget to leave."

"Lovely room, brilliant location, staff were friendly and welcoming. Place to store bikes and sunny outdoor space. Only minor flaw was not being able to order my favourite cocktail from the bar (despite it being stocked with all the ingredients to make it). Will definitely be back."
