"The hotel is not that near to the train station, about 20 minutes walk from the train station and located beside the river. Initially we booked a single room without realizing that it does not come with attached bathroom. So we upgraded to a private room with attached bath. Room are really spacious and clean. We also tried the onsen which is great after a full day hike. They provide drinks 24 hours with a soft drink and coffee dispenser as well as a wide selection of teas. There are many interesting flavors. Breakfast spread are really good and tasty."

"The property is located just opposite the train station. We arrived at 9:30 am, did the check-in procedure, and then left luggage there so that we were luggage-free when we went on hiking on one of the section of the Nakasendo. We did not have to explain, the host simply accepted our luggage gracefully. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. The host and staff were very polite and helpful. Some of the staff spoke very good English and explained to us the different types of sauces for each dish. I think the facilities could be made better with some simple adjustments. The room was a bit small, we knew that when we made booking. However, I think the room could be more roomly if not so many furnitures were put in the room. The public bath room was small. If someone is having a shower, the water could easily splash into the bath water and persons sitting in the bath. I suggest the host to change the male and female baths into 2 private baths, allowing prior booking each time for 40 min. Booking can easily be done by self-service. With these minor adjustments, the stay could be more enjoyable."

"Het hotel ligt afgelegen aan het eind van een weg die de bergen in leidt. Prachtig uitzicht, rust, vogelgeluiden. Zeer gastvrije gastheer, die 's avonds een heerlijk diner bereidt. De volgende ochtend een prima ontbijt. Eenvoudig hotel, relatief ruime kamer, zeer kleine badkamer. Half-pension. "

"It's hard to start somewhere, this is the most beautiful hotel in Japan I've visited.   For the first time, it was not a hotel in the traditional sense, but a “spair”.    I personally arrived at just two hours early to check in, yet I was friendly accepted and my room was prematurely furnished. Otherwise, I think it was unusual.  Set up to run around with provided slips.  There is a public onsen that can be used until morning morning, or there is the possibility for 50 min to book a private room without a surcharge. (For those who need some privacy, who comes first ;) )  There is also the possibility of attending a star at 20:30, there are remote glasses available. (As you drive the bus to the mountain, it is only recommended in clear view)  Eating is classic Japanese and very delicious, only drinks are to be paid at check-out. Would I book again or even recommend further, all at all; Super experience and alone the reason to run through the area with a Yukata is top!  The only shortage is therefore not a full score;   If you're not just a natural/walking or a resort, you're in the middle of rural Japan. Otherwise chapeau."

"This hotel is located deep in the mountains. Its name is ”Forest Hotel”. It is three kilometers away from the bottom of the mountain. There are few restaurants nearby, and almost none are open at night. The hotel's own restaurant only offers sukiyaki set meals for reservations, and meals cannot be served without reservations. Later, I found a Chinese restaurant ”Kitaro” eight kilometers away from the hotel. The diligent owner was open almost every day and served food until ten o'clock in the evening. I really need this dining advice when staying at this hotel. The nearby attractions of this hotel are very good. In addition to the historical streets, I recommend the ”Sleeping Bed” and ”Asa Valley”. In terms of natural beauty, it is irreplaceable, but it is a bit primitive. I highly recommend it. Wear sneakers to climb. The hotel itself has a large bath, but it is actually just a large bath and does not have sauna-style equipment. It's not a new hotel, but it's well maintained. All the equipment doesn't look shabby. The rooms are big and it's quite comfortable to stay."

"The traditional ryokan was very charming and perfectly alluring. The decor of traditional artifacts of the Edo period gave a pleasant insights to a former opulence. The inside and outside onsens were clean with a clear zen and ambiance. How I love the traditional kimono-styled house clothes offering a comfortable restorative relaxing dress code."
