"We took the Yunoyama train up the mountain to the Gozaisho Ropeway. After getting off the bus, we were immediately at the hotel. Hotel staff were waiting and helped us with our luggage. The open-air baths offer stunning views, and the public baths are spacious. Dinner was incredibly filling, and breakfast, even though it was a set menu, was quite filling. The tatami mats and mattresses were surprisingly comfortable to sleep on. We were so impressed that we'd definitely return for another relaxing getaway."

"Truly most stunning architecture. We chose a “Villa” that’s stone n wood. We love the attention to detail of everything in the room. I was so relaxed I fell asleep on the sofa n missed the heavenly bed w/the fluffiest duvet on Earth. We love the eel kaiseki dinner which was so delicious. The best part was going to their sister property Aqua Ignis which is a huge hotel w/many outdoor onsens. The H Confectionary cake sweets shop was out of the world! I got some chocolate balls w/cream inside, too yummy for words. Also had a great massage in the spa by the kindest n most passionate masseuse Doy. We’ll go back n stay there soon"

"A very traditional Japanese-style onsen hotel located in Yunoyama Onsen Town. The entire onsen town is quite deserted, seemingly fallen into disrepair. The hotel itself is very nice, and the food is also excellent. The onsen itself is average. The evening dessert buffet was a pleasant surprise; the variety and taste were all superb. Overall, a very good experience."

"Awesome hotel. Japanese room(Tatami) is simple,clean and convenient. There are many facilities in a hotel;-onsen,spa, ,bakery cafe,Japanese &Italian restaurant."

"I wanted to go to a ryokan, but this was the closest place I found. I changed trains from Nagoya Station and arrived at Yunoyama Onsen Station, which is very rural. The area in front of the station was like a closed-down ruin with not a single store. I bought a drink from a vending machine and went to the ryokan. I called and it took about 10 minutes for the car to arrive. The ryokan facilities were rated 6.5 out of 10. It was a bit old. I paid 5,500 yen more for a private ryokan and it was good. The large public bath was nice because it had an open-air bath, and the water was very good. It was slippery. I requested dinner, but I was able to order draft beer and the meal was pleasant. Is there nothing to eat?? Breakfast is a buffet, kind of like home-cooked food. Most people are Japanese, and there are mountains nearby. I saw a few people riding the cable car and wearing hiking clothes. The neighborhood was almost dead, so I didn't go around. It's at the top of the mountain, so the water is clear and the air is good."
