"I chose this hotel because of its reputation as an old-school establishment, but I was a little disappointed.
1. I have a permanent residence in Japan, so it's understandable that the front desk would ask for my residence card. However, they also insisted on making a copy of my ID, which no other hotel in Japan has ever done, and I found that quite perplexing.
2. There were still hairs from the previous guest stuck to the shampoo bottle in the bathroom, which is simply unacceptable. I wanted to ask the front desk about it, but I was too tired in the evening to even bother.
3. On the bright side, the breakfast was quite good and varied, and the window seats offered a nice view of the city."

"Very nice hotel. Very comfortable, rooms very nice. Lots of choices of restaurant within the hotel. It's a bit of a walk from the Niigata train station (10mins?) so if it's cold and snowing, maybe abit more challenging, but on a nice weather day, it's a pleasant walk. Staff are super nice. I requested more pillows and towels, and were brought to my room very quickly."

"The most attractive aspect of this hotel was its incredibly low price. The fact that it included breakfast and access to the hot springs at this price was truly exceptional. The hotel and guest rooms were clean, making for a comfortable stay. The room was larger than I expected, which was a plus. Furthermore, there were amenities like a table tennis room, which added to the enjoyment.
The location wasn't bad either; there were restaurants and convenience stores within a few minutes' drive, so I didn't feel any inconvenience.
I didn't have any major complaints, except that the large size of the facility meant it took a little time to reach my room, which was a minor concern. Even considering that, the cost performance was excellent, and I would definitely like to stay here again."

"Location: Super convenient! It's connected directly to the station building, so you can walk through a passage from the station straight to the hotel elevator without even stepping outside. The only minor inconvenience is a set of stairs you have to go down before you reach the glass doors to the hotel elevators.
Facilities: The room was a bit small; I couldn't really spread out my luggage. Other than that, all the basic conditions were met. For the price, I can't really complain. Oh, and the corridor outside the elevators is really beautiful and green."

"Check in and out is fast. Being part of JR Train Group gave it immediate accessibility in same building in 2 to 4 minutes. Hotel lobby 3rd floor is same floor with JR entrance.
Besides Seven Eleven store and about 40 meters distance walking to Yoshinoya.
Many food shops around South ,West,East entrance.
Bic Camera just across street.
Room is ok with bath separated from toilet."

Guest UserI had a wonderful stay here as a solo traveler. The location was very convenient, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and convenience stores. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help whenever I had questions. The facilities were also well maintained and made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again if I visit the area in the future. Highly recommended!

I stayed in a standard semi-double room with a room-only plan that was on sale due to the live performance at Toki Messe. It was conveniently located within walking distance of Toki Messe. There was a convenience store and post office nearby, and a short walk away there were a few restaurants, so I had no trouble finding food even though I checked in late. I didn't have much opportunity to interact with the staff as I didn't use the restaurant, but the room was very clean and had all the necessary amenities.

HmamaAlthough it's not near the station, there are still plenty of taxis in Niigata in the early morning, making it convenient to go to shopping malls near Bandaibashi. They have GU, Uniqlo, and Muji, which is very convenient. I'm quite satisfied.

It was a convenient and easy to understand place just across the road station and footbath.
The cleaning was well done and I was able to spend it comfortably.
The food was delicious. Especially the breakfast buffet was good.
I think it is a good hotel in Cospa.
It was good that the large communal bath was large, but I wish it was a hot spring of a more habitual type because the hot spring was tasteless and odorless.

Guest UserNice hotel withe rooms of various sizes. For me it was spacious enough. Bed was comfortable, would have liked one more cushion.
Room was clean an I liked that i could open the window. It was quite hot in the room because the heater was turned on. Even if i turned it off hot air came out.
Room was clean and had everything i needed. You can also get things at the front desk.
Breakfast was buffetstyle and really very good with a lot of choises, both Japanese, local and western.
Location was very convenient near the train station. About max a 5 minutes walk. Near the hotel there are a lot of places to eat or have a drink. At the station is a shopping mall.

The hotel is a 4-minute walk from the station. It's clean and quiet, and the lobby offers a great selection of high-quality toiletries. The bed was really comfortable, and the bath towels were soft and absorbent. The breakfast was especially delicious, with soba noodles, Niigata rice, and a variety of Japanese dishes. There's also a washing machine, dryer, and microwave on the first floor.

I often stay at Livemax when I travel to other regions. It's very close, about a 3-minute walk from Niigata Station after taking the direct limousine bus from the airport. The return bus stop for the airport, number 18, is also nearby, so it's easy to move around even with a suitcase. The front desk staff are very polite in their explanations. Since it was just one night, the room was spacious enough, most amenities were included, and the facilities had been newly replaced, so it was comfortable.
Also, there is a microwave here, so it's great to be able to heat up the local food you take home!
The elevators are crowded at check-out time, as mentioned in the reviews, but I checked out at 9:50 and it didn't affect me.
I think it's fine as long as you check out a little outside of peak hours.
If I have the chance to come to Niigata, I'll use it again.

bmblglothere was a high-pitched ringing sound on 1 side of the building. it was painful. even after switching to the other side of the building, there's constant noise from the ventilation system. it was too loud on the top floor.
the breakfast was really good. fish, eggs, fresh vegetables, fermented vegetables, yogurt, juice, etc. coffee and ice were always available but tea was only available during breakfast and after 15:00.
