This Takeo hotel provides parking on site. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.
"The hotel's location is super convenient, right across from the South Exit of JR Takeo-Onsen Station! Check-in is after 3 PM, and the staff are very welcoming. There's a main building and an annex, and you use your room key card to access your room. At the front desk, you can find free toothbrushes, coffee, bath towels, and wooden combs. It's a shame they don't offer small packets of skincare products. Also, drinking water isn't provided in the room! There isn't a convenience store right outside the hotel, but there's a small supermarket inside the JR station.
Breakfast is a simple buffet with both Japanese and Western options; the milk is delicious! The annex on the 8th floor has a public bath and a laundry room, and the rooms are quite spacious. You can borrow bicycles from the front desk to get around. Overall, it's a great stay!"

"The hotel is located near the gatehouse and is small but beautiful. It has a limited number of rooms and boasts a history spanning over 300 years. The rooms are spacious, with a tatami living room outside and a bedroom suite inside. Both have separate balconies and bathrooms. It appears to have been two separate suites that were connected. The furniture and other amenities have a certain age, but are kept very clean. Breakfast is served in the second-floor restaurant, offering classic Japanese fare. Hot spring hotels typically offer a one-night stay with two meals, but this time, when booking through Ctrip, they included a plan without meals. The price was similar to the plan with meals included. Be careful not to book the wrong one.
Next door is a popular hot spring tofu shop and soy milk ice cream shop."

After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This Takeo hotel provides parking on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service.
"First, the room is huge. The website says it's 15 square meters, but excluding the entrance hall, toilet, and bathroom, the tatami area alone is at least 30 square meters. Second, the booking showed breakfast wasn't included, but it's actually free, and the selection is quite good. There's also free coffee in the lobby, and the elderly lady who seems to be the owner will play gramophone records for you—the kind that only plays for three minutes per record. Considering the price, it's incredibly good value. The century-old establishment is decorated authentically. The only minor drawback is the slightly outdated bath facilities, but considering the hotel's historical atmosphere, this is part of the experience. The hotel is within walking distance of the 3,000-year-old camphor tree and the Takeo Library, which houses a Starbucks and Tsutaya Bookstore. With a JR Kitakyushu Pass, it's convenient to take the JR Limited Express or Shinkansen to Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and Nagasaki; you can easily do all of that in a day. Takeo town isn't crowded with tourists or residents, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended."

"The bath, bathtub and facilities were new and nice, but it was a pity that there was mold on the wall of the bathroom and shampoo leftovers.
When I turned on the refrigerator, I was noisy and couldn't sleep at night, so I cut it off.
The bed was single, but it was good because it was comfortable to sleep and there were many outlets for the room
I want to use it when I go to Takeo again."

"Value for money. Basic ryokan with onsen. No convenience stores or shops nearby - need to drive out of you need anything to eat. Amenities in the ryokan not as luxurious as others that I have been to before. We booked the breakfast and dinner option too - there is lot of food but quality of the food is ok only. Nothing to scream about but you will be very full. 😂"

"Location: it was a 15 minutes walk from the JR station and when we left the hotel, they had a free shuttle service. The hotel is next to the famous gate and a tofu ice cream dessert place which was great.
Food: dinner and breakfast inclusive hotel room, both were fantastic
Rooms: clean and big
Onsen: it was a bit small but did have an outdoor onsen, there was no water dispenser so cannot hydrate afterwards"

"The room was large and relaxing. It was a cold day in December, but I was able to spend two air conditioners and a fan heater. The hot spring was until 10 pm, so I used it flutteringly, but in the morning it was reserved for guests from 6 o'clock. Beautiful skin hot water. I want to use it again."
