"The hotel is centrally located in Skopje, nestled between the Old Town and the river. There were plenty of outlets, and amenities like a hairdryer, soap, etc., were provided. The room and beds are very comfortable, though it can be a bit noisy, especially in the mornings, due to thin walls. The breakfast was decent to good. There's a wide selection, but things like croissants are unfortunately just pre-packaged in plastic. Some dishes were left on tables for a bit longer, as the lady working there was alone, but that wasn't an issue for me. All the staff are very nice and accommodating. I think a 4-star rating is appropriate for this reason. The rooms are very modern, but the mirror had a reddish discoloration at the bottom and generally looked quite worn."

"Decent location, extremely close to the bus station, not as close to the central square but still within walking distance. Room was very spacious, we were given a “complementary upgrade”. There was a refrigerator, an air conditioning unit, an electric oven, a kettle, utensils. There were crackers and bars to snack on, as well as some instant coffee. .there also is a balcony."

"There is an old street next to the hotel, which is very convenient for walking. There are many restaurants nearby. The room is OK, big enough, and the decoration is average. The breakfast is not very rich. The restaurant is on the 7th floor, and you can see the panoramic view of Macedonia."

"Title: Unbeatable location, but standard has drastically dropped – Won't be back Having been a loyal customer for 10 years, it is disappointing to say I won't be returning. While the location is unbeatable, the breakfast is nice, and the pool area is clean (though very slippery), the overall standard has fallen significantly. The staff remain a highlight. The young Macedonian gentlemen at the front desk were incredibly friendly, and the lady in the Club Lounge—who spoke fluent English, Macedonian, and French—provided great service. Unfortunately, the rooms are run-down, desperately need renovation, and the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. The Club Lounge was highly disappointing. Beware that even if you pay for access, you can be locked out if they book a private function. When open, the lounge is basic and the food was terrible—we were served raw steak and overcooked chicken. The choice of two wines and beers was adequate, but the food quality ruins it. It is a shame to walk away after a decade, but the lack of comfort and poor food quality means I will look elsewhere next time."

"The staff were friendly and actively responded to all questions. The rooms were quiet and safe and the water pressure was good. There was also a bottle of water, so it was helpful, and there was a cafe and a supermarket on both sides, so I was able to solve what I needed. "The staff were very helpful before arrival. We chatted with them via whatsapp to sort out arrival time and help with suitcases. Snacks and drinks in the room are free. Great location right next to the bus and train station. Half an hour from the city center and with a shopping center called Vero also quite close. Everything is modern and clean, with attention to every detail. It has a shower, washing machine, hairdryer, air conditioning, oven, iron, refrigerator, etc. The only thing I would have liked to find a fault with is a microwave. The service was excellent and prompt whenever we had a question. Wonderful!

staying nights on a ship on a dried up river in the middle of Skopje city was a great experience. Though the room was ”compact”, it had all the expected amenities & everything worked fine. Having our meals on the deck was very pleasant indeed, especially in the early autumn evenings. And prices were very reasonable, with a 10% discount for hotel guests. Service by all the staff was impeccable! Unfortunately, not everything was perfect. The floorboards just outside our bathroom creaked (& bent) noticeably, possibly due to poor bath water draining that overtime had leaked into the wooden floorboards under the carpet, causing them to deteriorate over time. This needs to be fixed asap. Hotel guests checking in face a long walk from the taxi dropoff location at the bridge about 200m away. This long walk is a challenge for senior travellers with big bags & taxi drivers are unwilling to help due to the risk of getting a ticket. For checking out, hotel staff assistance cannot be committed due to staff shortage.

The staff from front desk, to cleaners and to the staff where we had our breakfast were all the best, amazing team I have ever experienced. They made.me feel welcomed and.nothing was hard for.them. They went above and.beyond.to make my stay so pleasant, fun and relaxing. A.big thank you to Marijan, he was amazing. Well done for having such a beautiful staff at Holiday Inn Express, I will definitely came back here again. The service, customer service everything was outstanding. Let’s talk about the shortcomings directly: the location is average, far away from the passenger terminal, airport bus station, and central commercial street. Fortunately, there is a relatively large supermarket nearby, which is quite convenient for buying daily necessities. It is recommended if you drive by yourself, but you should consider it if you use public transportation.

I registered my card when I checked in. I arrived at the reception desk at check-out time (a little before 12:00) on May 11, but the receptionist was not there and could not process my check-out. After waiting for about 5-10 minutes, an older man appeared and asked me to submit my card again. I told him that I had submitted my card when I checked in, but he still asked me to submit it. He treated me like a boss. When I asked why I had to register it twice, he didn't answer anything and simply told me I could go. I was disappointed with the receptionist's attitude. There was no hospitality whatsoever. In the end, I didn't have to register my card twice. By the way, when I stayed again at the end of May, I wasn't asked to submit my card at all when I checked out. However, while I was waiting, I asked another young male staff member where the bus stop was, and he kindly told me the bus stop and even showed me the timetable. The room was clean, the price was not too expensive, and the location was good. Overall, it was a good hotel.

The location was very good however the kettle lit was broken and bathroom shower was not working .When reported to the Management they said previous customer broke them! Additionally the elivator was not working properly.We wolked 6 floor steps on foot with luggeges...

I had a beautiful, spacious room with a wonderful view over the city. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a real comfort during the warm September days. The Wi-Fi connection occasionally dropped, and there was a bit of a shortage of shower gel, but these were minor inconveniences. Breakfast was good in quality, though the selection was not very extensive. One downside was that people were smoking in the breakfast room, which affected the atmosphere. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming - always ready to help with a smile and to make sure guests felt at ease. Their warm approach really enhanced the overall experience. Overall, a comfortable stay in a central location, with just a few small areas for improvement. I would gladly return for the spacious rooms, great location, and especially the excellent service at the front desk.
