"The pool is nice and there's a gym. The room was reasonably clean, though I did find some long hairs. The breakfast was terrible, really not suited for Chinese tastes, even though there were a lot of Chinese guests staying there. Overall, it's good value for money and a decent place to stay."

"I booked a queen room with window but was not expecting it to be so small. First time staying here and probably also my last time. While basic amenities such as towel and toiletries are provided, my only gripe is that the sound proofing is really bad. Every night, I could hear people walking past, closing and opening their room doors, chattering and even vehicles noises along the roads outside the hotel. The bed provided is also very soft and not very comfortable. So sleeping might be an issue for those who need quietness. The good side is, drinking water and some snacks are provided at the lobby for guests use."

"Lovely hotel with a guard to reserve carpark lots for guest cars. We had issue finding a lot during mother day weekend. Rooms are clean n quiet. Price is not the cheapest amongst Austin height hotel but definitely worth it."

"Positive Feedback 1. Location was superb, easy access to the mall. 2. Room is fully equipped with induction hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, dining plates, utensils, mugs, iron and iron board . 3. Room is spacious, bedroom, living room and dining room. Negative Feedback: 1. Staff at the counter should be trained with customer service. No greetings nor smile during check-in. 2. Toilet has very bad smell. The edge of the shower room is slimy, probably not cleaned properly. 3 Deodorants were supplied in both the toilet as well as the bedroom but unfortunately all of them were empty (see pictures) 5. Toilet ventilation vent is dusty and drop of dusts occasionally fell onto us or the wash basin. 6. The iron provided isn’t safe for use as wires are exposed which is a SAFETY HAZARD (see picture). Someone might get electrocuted. 7. TV was provided but no ‘Live TV’ available as it always showed ‘No Signal’ (see picture). 8. ‘House Rules’ indicate ‘No eating and drinking in the room’ but the room is fully equipped with the dining cutleries/utensils and cooking equipment (see picture). So, is eating and drinking allowed? 9. In the bedroom, there is this thing hanging directly above the bed. Not sure what it is but, to me, it’s of no use. We will definitely stay here again because of the location and the spacious room. If the negative feedback can be addressed, it would be a bonus."

"The unit itself is nice but the management do not give customers a good vibe. Everything was wrong from start of checked in. Before checking in I already informed management that I am riding a motorbike. The instructions given to me was to park at level 5. Upon reaching the mall to collect keys. The guards do not allow me to go level 5, no bike is allowed. Told me to go park in the basement but did not tell me that I need to collect a bike card to scan in at the basement carpark for bike. After quite sometime asking around, one of the guard told me to get a bike card from the reception. Next when reached the unit. There is a metal gate. But I was given a key card for the lift and a sensor for the main door. No key for the gate. When texted the management. It’s replied by AI. So I need to take a lift to UG level and see the reception again. I was told there is a manual latch behind the gate. All these troubles could be solved if proper instructions were given to me. I came down from Ipoh, a long ride down and still need to go around finding out how to get into the unit. Upon entering the unit, looks beautiful at first. Then when want to have a shower, there is not a single hook or rack for bath towel. So I have to text again. I was told to hang towel on the curtain rod. But there was no curtain rod. The only rod I saw was a metal rod sticking inside a plastic pail. So texted again and show photo. The reply was hang my towel on the door lock. First time I heard of this. So I went to take my towel. It was a dirty towel with black stained. Send photo to reception. Nothing was done, not even an exchange of towel. Is just silence…. After shower wanted to get some water to drink. It was a water dispenser that is not dispensing. So went down to the supermarket to buy a bottle of mineral water. The only plus point of this place is joined to a mall. That’s about it. I have never rated any hotel or apartment so low before. This is my first and I hope it will be my last."

"This hotel is located in the Austin area, a pretty lively suburb of Johor Bahru. Interestingly, my ride-sharing app showed two different addresses about 500 meters apart. The ground floor is a mall, and the restaurant and lobby are on the first floor. They charged a 300 deposit, but the front desk only gave me a receipt for 100. Good thing I caught that, otherwise, check-out would have been a hassle. The room was spacious enough, the air conditioning worked great, and there was one Chinese channel on TV, which was from Singapore."

"Nothing obvious stood out for the room's cleanliness, so it works for a room at this budget. Hotel is reasonably priced with a bigger sized room, which helps the comfort levels when staying in it. The toilet being bigger helps since there is more separation between the wet and the dry areas. I thought that choosing a slightly out of the way location would relief traffic headaches but that was apparently not the case, guess the traffic around the Mount Austin area cannot be beaten so easily. The hotel seems t only has the option of self check in and out via a machine just outside of the premises, but it can be a privacy concern when checking in at night, because the screen is so big and bright, and is flashing details for the world to see. The screen should really be smaller or have varying brightness according to the surroundings. Or somehow flipped 90 degress so it does not face the street. (Photo taken from the hotel's Google map)"

"Dear Trip, The house is very good, and we had a pleasant stay. In terms of communication, the team responded quickly, which we appreciate. However, we hope there can be better awareness of the surrounding situation. During our journey before arrival, several roads were closed due to a mall event. When we asked for alternative routes, we were informed that there was no information about the road closure, even though we had shared photos showing police and guards blocking the roads. This situation caused us some panic, as we were stuck in heavy traffic with no clear direction. It would be helpful if the team could provide reassurance and practical guidance in such situations—for example, advising us that we could approach the guards to open the cones as we were guests checking in. Guidance like this would have helped reduce our stress. Thank you."

The capsule hotel is managed by an elderly couple. The reviews were mixed, between they're being nice vs being mean. What about how I thought? ”They're being very kind and trying hard to run the business for travellers convenience”. It's never easy to run businesses and it's not a charity so some may think if youre in business you should be at least act like a pro. For those who said that..then can you be one nice customer to the business owners? Not to forget..they're elderly, yet they did their best to help you with your stay with certain in house rules, which is manageable by the crowds they're having - solo/friends travellers - gamersalike Personally chat and understand that they're constantly tired and wired to the place and it's a very tiring job. Leave some kindness to the world and be kind to people around us, you will find wonderfulness. The rest I'll leave it up to yourself to judge.

*2D1N Family Stay at Cube 8teens by Nest Home* *Overall, a good, comfortable stay for families. We stayed 1 night with our family and found it a pleasant experience overall. It’s a solid option if you’re looking for a functional family-friendly unit. *Cleanliness: 4/5 Good* The unit was generally clean and well-kept. No major issues. Beds, bathrooms, and common areas were tidy on arrival. Good standard for a short stay. *Service: 4/5 Good* Check-in was smooth and the host/management was helpful when we had questions. Communication was easy and responses were prompt. *Location: 3/5 Average* The location was just average for us. It’s not in the main tourist belt, so you’ll likely need a car/Grab to get to key attractions. Additionally, building is located next to a busy road, especially during peak hours. The engine / exhaust sounds from vehicles were quite loud. Not a deal-breaker, but something to note for planning. *Amenities: 4/5 Good* The unit was well-equipped for a family. Had everything we needed for a comfortable 2D1N stay. Beds were comfy and the space worked well for our family. *Final thoughts*: Cube 8teens by Nest Home delivers good cleanliness, service, and amenities for families. Location is average if you want to be in the city centre, but overall it was a comfortable and fuss-free stay. ************* for a smooth trip. I recently stayed at the JS Hotel and, while the location was convenient, the overall experience left something to be desired. The hotel felt a bit outdated, and the rooms could use some attention in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. It’s clear that the property could benefit from a refresh to improve its comfort and appeal. On the positive side, the hotel is within walking distance of Aeon Shopping Mall, which is very convenient for shopping and dining. There’s also a convenience store right outside, making it easy to grab essentials. Overall, if you're just looking for a basic, no-frills place to stay in a prime location, JS Hotel could work. However, if you're looking for a more modern or well-maintained experience, you might want to explore other options.

There is many food choices but staff was unfriendly. Book a suite but looks more like a normal deluxe room. Suite room are located next to road. Can't sleep at night because of noisy traffic. Anyway, there is fridge and bedroom slipper provided.

It is a old condo, there are repair works.. so do take note. Good: Car park is big and is at level 2 for the designated lot. Because other homestay condos that need to go at least 5-6 levels. Location is very near to AEON Tebrau and Mount Austin. Security wise is good, need special pass to enter the car park. Need to produce passport to enter the premises. Bad: The upper deck bed is very hot and stuffy due to the glass panel. It had block out the aircon blowing. My children will have to shift down to sleep on the floor. The tap water at the wash basin, is yellowish. Toilet bowl is leaking causing wetness on the floor. If you are not very fussy and just staying for sleep over for 1-2nights is it fine.

Receptionist was welcoming and pleasant to talk with, room was decently well maintained (Didn't take pictures) and it felt okay to good for a night's stay. Nearby is Paradigm Mall where the picture was the DipnDip chocolate crepe that I bought, delicious 😋

Cleanliness can be improved. The window in toilet was opened, wild birds like pigeon poop on the wall and not to mention spidey from trees nearby... Distance wise is centrally located in middle of Aeon mall, Ikea and toppen mall. GT go-kart is also stones throw away with mininpasar malam. Not encouraged if you are a light sleeper as crows start calling at 5am+ and a lot of noise from main road. It also depends on your luck that other stayers are no as noisy in the living/common area. Basically it is a house that has 4 rooms rented out as homestay with shared kitchen and hall. If you are looking for a budget stay which is convenience then that's fine. Overall i am ok with the stay so would give an overall 3 stars as the owner is also friendly.
