We rented a car in New York and went on a road trip, and most of the hotels we stayed at along the way were Days Inn properties. Overall, the hotels offered good value for the price. The rooms were clean, and the stays were comfortable. The only disappointment was the breakfast. Although breakfast was included in our booking, there were very few food options, and it felt much more limited than we expected. "It's convenient to the highway and the gentleman who checked us in was very nice. The property is a bit run down in a way that makes it hard to tell if things are clean (is that a permanent stain or grime?), and the breakfast was a little sad (really glad we didn't pay extra for that). Also no in-room coffee??? Fine for an overnight on a road trip, but relatively expensive for the location and amenities, IMHO."
