In the loft (no privacy door) there is a queen bed.We are walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants available in Rockaway Beach and the Oregon Coast Scenic Railway runs beside the home as well for any train enthusiasts.After purchasing this duplex in 2021 we have been lovingly updating it as funds and time allows. One half of the duplex is our home and the other unit we have opened up to welcome guests who also love exploring the Oregon Coast and all it has to offer. We love the living in a piece of Rockaway history and have enjoyed learning more about our home from longtime Rockaway Beach residents.The central location will allow you to explore the gorgeous Oregon Coastline to the north and south and return to a cozy home in the evening. A romantic getaway that will make you feel like you are miles away from home. The smell of the ocean air sets the tone. It's cozy, comfortable, and just a short 2 minute stroll to the beach. Shopping and dining are just a short drive to mid-part of town.And the best part? It's dog-friendly, so you can bring your family pooch - no need to find a dog-sitter! Note that there is a small yard that is not enclosed. This is a guest house with a private entrance (walk behind the large house). There are other guest houses nearby and it has a community feel. There is a train that goes by a few times a day (a bit more in summer).You will hear it a few times a day during the warmer seasons. You can wave to the people on board, which makes for a little nostalgia and joy. Please note the large patio sitting area and hot tub is for the large house only.Please note there are signs for locals at all STR properties with a number to call for complaints. That is not our number if you need help, Please disregard that number and call us if there are any issues. It's a very confusing sign.The bathroom has a small tub/shower combination. It is small. The beach itself is just across the street, so you can walk out of your door and have your toes in the sand in minutes. Up to 2 well behaved and completely housebroken dogs are welcome but must be included in your initial reservation. (A $150 fee will be charged if housekeeping reports a dog was in residence and your reservation did not include one.) For guests who need a ramp or prefer easier beach access, there is a designated entry point near the red caboose, approximately 1-2 blocks away.Please note: There is a single row of houses and some overhead phone wires between the building and the beach. However, our fifth-floor condo offers beautiful views of the ocean through large picture windows.Up to 2 dogs are allowed. They must be supervised at all times and never left alone in the condo. Be sure to allow extra time to get downstairs (elevator or stairs) for pet breaks. Please pick up after your pet. A waste station and popular doggy area are located across the street near the beach path.
