I arrived at the airport late the night before, but the hotel's pick-up service was perfectly arranged. The driver was already waiting, and even proactively helped with my luggage, completely saving me the hassle of finding a taxi in the middle of the night. Upon arrival, front desk staff member #6 was incredibly friendly and polite, and check-in was very efficient. She also thoughtfully informed me of all the important details. After a long and tiring journey, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made me feel so much better, and the room environment was also excellent. The overall service was impeccable, I highly recommend this hotel! It will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Kunming!

Hands down the best hotel in the Kunming KMG airport area. You must stay here! I am a huge fan! I live in China and travel through KMG airport often for layovers and have stayed at the Ji Hotel right inside the airport. That hotel is okay (and has the location advantage of being right inside the terminal) but feels very stuffy and many of the rooms have no windows. In many ways that hotel isa broom closet compared tithe DoubleTree 🌳 🌳. The DoubleTree by Hilton blows that Ji Hotel (and most others in the KMG area) out of the water💦! For an extra 10 minute private van ride, the upgrade in conditions is significant and well worthwhile. The lobby is beautiful and the breakfast is a true 5 star masterpiece that has LOTS of options for both western and Chinese tourists, including made to order egg station, made to order noodle station, and an incredible fresh salad 🥗 bar with high quality ingredients (very hard to find in China 😜). The service staff is top notch with great English at check in and very helpful all the way through. The hotel is brand new and everything is sparkling clean. The elevator is very fast and modern and the furnishings are all tasteful and elegant! There are so many free extras that make this an incredible value: -Free Private shuttle in brand new Buick 🚐 van -Free hand baked chocolate chip cookie on check in -2 free bowls of local Yunnan noodles delivered to your room for you -Free Puer tea tasting

This was the cheapest hotel we stayed at during our Yunnan trip, and also the one with the absolute best service! First, they offer subway station pick-up and airport transfer services. On the day of check-in, they send a reminder just in case you're unaware of these services. Upon arrival, you're immediately offered a glass of water, and then they thoughtfully help you arrange your airport transfer times. The room itself is fully smart-enabled, which is really impressive. But what touched us the most was that our flight was at 5 AM the next day, and we had scheduled a 4 AM airport drop-off. We came down about ten minutes early, expecting to wait a bit for the driver. To our surprise, even before 4 AM, a young man and a front desk lady were already waiting for us! They even kindly gave us two breakfast boxes to take on the road (we hadn't paid for breakfast). As soon as we stepped out of the hotel, the car was already waiting right at the entrance. The service was so incredible that we actually wondered if we really only paid 100 RMB, haha!

I can't believe I was lucky enough to find a hotel with five-star quality at such an incredibly affordable price. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from the airport, and after contacting the front desk, a car came to pick me up. The hotel is very new, with a high-end decor. The double-pane soundproof windows make it incredibly quiet when closed. Little details like automatic curtains, an automatic toilet, a kettle, a hairdryer, and toiletries really add to the hotel's appeal. What I loved most was the bedding – no exaggeration, it truly felt like standard five-star quality. The pillows were made of memory foam and were just the right height. The central air conditioning provided both hot and cold air, and the shower pressure was excellent. There's also a huge 65-inch TV. If I wasn't just on a layover, I'd seriously want to stay a few more nights. Highly recommend!

The room was fantastic. We arrived for check-in at 1 AM, and the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even upgrading our room type. The room itself was very spacious and bright, fully equipped with everything we needed. The TV offered a great selection of channels and even had screen casting capabilities. The soundproofing was quite good overall; we couldn't hear any airplane noise from the nearby airport, which allowed for a very peaceful sleep. Breakfast upstairs was also quite good. A very satisfying stay overall.

To sum it up: full marks, absolutely full marks! Out of all the places I've stayed, honestly, this is one hotel that truly made me want to leave a genuine review. The owner is incredibly welcoming, and the service is fantastic. Seeing that we had a child with us, they even gave us a free upgrade to a family room. The hotel environment is excellent, and the design of the entrance and courtyard shows great taste. The room facilities are fully smart, clean, and hygienic. It's a truly rare and exceptional hotel. Finally, I have to say again, the owner's service is really outstanding – nine out of ten points definitely go to the owner, hahaha!

Arrived in Kunming on ***** New Year's Eve, and chose this Atour hotel near the airport for a one-night layover. It turned out to be a wonderful surprise! 😍 The room was spacious and clean, and the Atour bedding, as always, was incredibly comfortable (I even use Atour pillows at home! 😁). The hotel offers complimentary airport shuttle service, which made it super convenient and stress-free to pick up our pre-booked rental car at the airport the next morning. They also provide free late-night snacks at the restaurant – a warm bowl of rice noodles immediately soothed away the fatigue of our journey. At midnight, guests flocked downstairs to join the New Year's Eve fireworks display organized by the nearby hotel cluster. With firecrackers and fireworks lighting up the sky, everyone wished each other a Happy New Year – the atmosphere was fantastic! This kind of authentic New Year's spirit is something you can't experience in Shanghai, and it left a lasting impression!

This hotel deserves a five-star review! The decor has a unique charm, completely free of that cold, impersonal feeling you often get in hotels; instead, it feels wonderfully homey everywhere you look. It's incredibly close to the airport, and the shuttle service was perfectly on time, so there was absolutely no stress about missing my flight or being delayed. The front desk staff were exceptionally warm, kind, and attentive—their hospitality almost made me blush! Check-in was very efficient, so I didn't have to wait around. The hotel restaurant's food was amazing, with a delicious homemade flavor that truly felt like eating a meal at home. The 'wok hei' (smoky breath of the wok) was perfect, and the taste was genuinely excellent. The guest rooms were spotless, with every detail of cleanliness meticulously handled. Overall, I was satisfied in every aspect. I highly recommend it for anyone needing a layover or transfer!

Five out of five stars – this stay far exceeded my expectations! Upon arrival, the front desk greeted me with a warm smile and checked me in within minutes; their demeanor was consistently gentle and polite. The room was exceptionally clean, with not a speck of dust on the floors, in the bathroom, or on the windowsills. The wet/dry separation in the bathroom was a thoughtful touch, and non-slip mats and shelves were all provided. The mattress was soft yet supportive, and the blackout curtains and soundproofing were excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel breakfast offered a great mix of Chinese and Western options, including porridge, pastries, fruit, and hot dishes, all tasting fresh. The self-service laundry room was a huge convenience for washing clothes after exploring. The location is super convenient with easy access to transportation, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The price was truly a bargain. It's genuinely clean, comfortable, and offers thoughtful amenities, living up to its 'Home Inn' name. It's definitely my top choice for accommodation when traveling. I've already recommended it to friends and will certainly be returning!

This stay was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is only a 10-15 minute drive from the airport. It's located in a village, which makes the location a bit off the beaten path, but that's perfectly fine as they offer airport shuttle service. We arrived at Changshui Airport at 2 AM on our first day. After collecting our luggage, we contacted the hotel for pickup. Even though it was raining heavily that night, the hotel was fantastic and was already waiting for us in the parking lot. Since we had to catch a high-speed train to Dali the next day, the hotel even dropped us off at the nearby subway station. When we returned to Kunming on our last day, we chose to stay at this hotel again. The staff here are incredibly enthusiastic; they recommended local breakfast spots and hot pot restaurants, all of which were delicious and very affordable. Because it was pouring rain that day, the hotel even went out of its way to drive us to the restaurant for dinner. The hotel is a good distance from the airport, so it wasn't as noisy at night as I expected; if you don't listen carefully, you can barely hear the planes landing. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers transiting through Kunming or those who want to be close to the airport without the noise. On a side note, dining in the village where the hotel is located is super convenient. There are restaurants within a 100-meter walk from the hotel, and the food suited our out-of-town tastes perfectly. I've included the name of the hot pot restaurant we went to; it was genuinely affordable, tasty, and the portions were generous. If I have the chance, I would definitely choose to stay here again. The only downside is that there's no place to hang clothes or towels in the room, only in the bathroom. I hope the hotel can add some racks or hooks for guests to hang their belongings.
