Hotels in Chenggong New District/South High-Speed Railway Station, Kunming

Really great! My son stood by the window for a long time, watching the lake view and the high-speed train station. He loved watching the high-speed trains slowly pull into the station – boys really enjoy that. The hotel was also very clean and the facilities were automated. The shuttle service to and from the station was super convenient too, no need to drag luggage up and down at the high-speed train station getting lost anymore.

This hotel is incredibly close to Kunming South Railway Station, and they even offer a shuttle service to and from the station, though you need to book it in advance. The hotel has only been open for just over a year, so all the facilities are brand new and align with modern living habits and styles. The front desk staff are very welcoming. Xiao Kui, who checked us in, noticed we were a family of three and proactively offered extra slippers and toothbrushes, as well as a complimentary welcome fruit platter. On the first floor, there's a business center equipped with computers and a printer, which is really handy for any impromptu work you might need to do while traveling. Our lake view room offered a lovely view of Bailongtan Reservoir below. The room also has a pull-out sofa bed, which is super convenient for families with older children. Breakfast is served on the third floor, and there's a wide variety of food. The fries were a big hit with the many kids staying there, and the watermelon was deliciously sweet and juicy. There's even a small children's play area in the dining room, allowing parents to enjoy their meal in peace.

The room layout was well-designed, stylishly decorated, spacious, bright, and comfortable. Since I stayed for eight days, I received a complimentary upgrade to a south-facing room. I've previously stayed at Mengjing hotels in Xishuangbanna and downtown Kunming, and I've always been impressed by their focus on service and hygiene. That's why I chose Mengjing again this time. The breakfast was a bit limited, but it was enough to fill me up and tasted good. The cook also kept the area very clean. Although the central air conditioning in each room could be individually adjusted, it wasn't very effective. The front desk staff kindly provided me with an electric heater, which solved my heating issue. The young lady at the front desk was consistently polite and helpful. I'm very grateful for her assistance during my stay. While the hotel aims for good value for money, I hope they can improve the overall comfort. Due to the affordable price, many guests with less desirable etiquette also stay here. There was smoking everywhere, loud conversations in the hallway until 2 or 3 AM, and a general disregard for others. Additionally, the soundproofing isn't as good as an apartment, so I was often woken up in the middle of the night. It seems the hotel is struggling to address this issue.

I initially booked this hotel online without much thought, and honestly, the value for money is absolutely incredible. The lobby greeted me with a lovely floral scent, and the front desk staff were professional and efficient, making check-in super fast. They patiently answered all my questions, and when they found out we enjoyed watching sports, they even upgraded us to a deluxe cinema king room. Watching the World Cup on the 120-inch screen was fantastic! The room was spotless, the bathroom had no strange odors or water stains, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The whole room was well-ventilated and felt fresh. The facilities were well-maintained and looked new; the lighting, hot water, and air conditioning all worked perfectly. The soundproofing was excellent, so I wasn't bothered by any hallway noise. Downstairs, it's right next to Wanda Plaza, and just a bit further is Qicai Yunnan No.1 City, so you can find any kind of food you're craving. Unfortunately, it's been raining a lot in Kunming recently. I went out without an umbrella, got caught in the rain, and started feeling a bit sick. I ordered some medicine and filled in the address provided by the front desk, but after waiting over half an hour, it still hadn't arrived. My phone even showed it as delivered. I called the delivery driver to ask where it was, and it turned out he had delivered it to the wrong building. He refused to come back and redeliver it, and then hung up on me, which made me furious. I asked the front desk for help finding my medicine. When they learned I had a cold, they brought me a cup of hot water for my medicine and thoughtfully brought an umbrella, reminding me that it's rainy season in Kunming and it's better to carry one. Their service truly warmed my heart. I will definitely be strongly recommending this place to my friends here.

The room was spacious, breakfast was ample, and it was quiet and conveniently located. The room was cleaned spotlessly, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The bathroom was dry and odorless, with all facilities in good working order. They responded promptly to messages and even provided thoughtful recommendations for local attractions and dining. The environment was quiet and pleasant, with a great atmosphere, making for a very relaxing stay. I honestly recommend this place and would choose it again!

I've stayed here several times now. It's right in Colorful Yunnan, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs, making dining incredibly convenient. The rooms are uniquely designed and very spacious. For the same price, I doubt you could find another hotel with rooms this large. The attention to detail in the room's decor is also very thoughtful. They even provide a washing machine and a drying rack, which is a huge plus since it's often hard to find a place to dry clothes after washing them. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view of a sizable lake. You can sit and enjoy panoramic views of the lake and the city. Overall, my experience was extremely satisfying.

Hygiene and Environment: No issues found. Breakfast and supper are great for travelers who leave early and come back late. The high-speed rail station shuttle also saves money for guests. Highly praised aspects: good room layout with three beds, ensuring everyone sleeps comfortably. The beds are cozy. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff are very welcoming. The room was exceptionally good and very clean. Whenever I travel, if there's a Moshang Qingju hotel in the city, it's always my first choice. The hotel consistently prioritizes guest satisfaction. The front desk service was excellent; they thoughtfully recommended delicious local food and helped resolve issues. I'm very grateful for their considerate service. The housekeeping staff also had a wonderful attitude; their hard work made me feel very welcome. The hotel offers a rich breakfast and a shuttle service, which is truly fantastic and made things so much easier. Many thanks to all the hotel staff for their efforts during my two-day stay.

This room was infested with mosquitoes. Mosquitoes and other bugs were crawling all over us while we slept. Apart from Joyce Wang at the front desk, who was excellent, the service from everyone else was truly disappointing. They kept passing the buck when I tried to address the mosquito problem. First, they said they'd switch our room, but after waiting half an hour with no update, I called again and was told it wasn't possible, and that was that. Only after I got really angry did they suggest the manager could arrange for us to pay to move to another hotel room. It was already past 11 PM – what's the point of moving then? While the hotel being fully booked might be true, it's no excuse for such poor service and attitude. Leaving guests in a bug-ridden room is unacceptable. I do not recommend staying here.
