Great for anyone that wants more space at a lower price than a standard hotel. room was massive, bathroom was quite spacious as well. comes with a kitchenette and washing machine. however there are NO drying racks. why???
rooftop pool is not too big, but only ever saw maybe 5-6 other people there at the same time. fitness center across from pool is well equipped with great views.
did not purchase breakfast as part of hotel package. went down first day. its fine, but wasn't worth it to me to pay every day. Instead i bought food at the convenience store on ground level. much cheaper.
location is ok, depends on what you want out of your trip. much more local, plenty of places to eat nearby and spas + nail salons. very far from the central tourist zones (temples, chinatown, etc.). expect it to take an hour each way. closest transportation is the canal ferry (short walk, pretty easy to navigate). the sky train is about a 30 min walk south, but has more direct access to other areas of the city and transportation methods.

This hotel is located in a bustling downtown area of Bangkok, surrounded by major malls and shopping centers. There's also a small park nearby which is lovely for a relaxing stroll. The facilities are typical Ibis style, quite similar to a Hanting (Jih Hotel) in China, just with much smaller rooms. It shares a building with Mercure, and there's a 7-Eleven downstairs. There's no pool, but you can use the Mercure's pool for 500 Baht. They require a 1000 Baht deposit. Breakfast was decent, perfectly acceptable. It's also conveniently located for the subway.

Great hotel, I go here every time I come to bangkok. Thong lor is a great area and the hotel is located centrally. Great value for money.
Shower temperature is good, aircon is cold and crisp (central aircon too), the rooms are made up every day (anything used is replaced). Rooms are decent size too.
They provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, cotton q-tips, shower caps, soap and the usual shampoo + body wash.
Has a rooftop bar upstairs which is pretty nice.

The hotel’s location is quite convenient, situated near many reputable Japanese restaurants. The gym is well-equipped for guest use.
Let’s Relax senior Thai lady staff members are consistently welcoming and friendly to guests upon arrival. Additionally, the bell desk team is helpful, professional, and makes an effort to greet guests in their preferred languages, despite many of us speaking English.
However, the hotel does not fully meet the standards of a 5-star property. Some front desk staffs and the older senior duty manager appear less approachable, with expressions that may seem unwelcoming and a reluctance to share detailed information.
Check-in and check-out processes could benefit from a warmer service approach, as they gave off a hurried, uninterested and fast-food vibe.
The shower area could use some maintenance to address mold, and the breakfast offerings might not match the variety and quality expected at other 5-star hotels in Bangkok. Our travel party all agreed that it was the worst 5-star Bangkok hotels breakfast.
For those accustomed to other 5-star hotels such as Okura, Nikko, or Kimpton BKK, which have comparable room rates depending on the season, you might want to consider these options for a more consistent experience.

Hotel is huge, lobby area is spacious as well, pool and gym under renovation on the 5th floor so if u stay near the lift or level 5 u can literally hear the knocking pounding drilling from 9am till 5pm. Room is spacious and renovated, vinyl flooring not carpeted so no funky smell. Deposit is 2000B. Late check out for 6pm is extra 1100B which is reasonable. There's a 711 and massage place just 3mins walk away everything else like street food supermarket, BTS, MRT is definitely not near this hotel unless u go clubbing its very near RCA clubbing street and Ekkamai/Thong lo. I take grab or bolt everywhere so no difference to me. There's a couple of tour groups that uses this hotel due to less traffic jams here. So be prepared for loud noises or ling waits for group check in/out. Overall i will still be back to stay as its clean and spacious anf no traffic jam here.

The hotel is beautiful. However everything didn’t quite measure up to my expectations. When I went online to book it and looked at the details of the hotel it said they offered a shuttle but when I asked about a Shuttle, they seemed confused about what I was inquiring about. Also, it asked for the details of why I was staying as if they were going to accommodate me in someway, I put that it was my birthday, but there was nothing in the room nor did they reference it at check-in. Once again the room was beautiful. It looks very nice. However it was not clean. The refrigerator was dirty and it had hair in it. The trash cans were clearly dirty, I had to call to have the fridge cleaned multiple times. The first time housekeeping came and simply used a dry rag to dust the refrigerator, but did not clean it. The second time I waited in the room and explained to her that I wanted it to be actually cleaned, remove the dirt and hair and use some cleaner. A pro and con they do have drink specials. Buy one get one free happy hour every day however, the drinks don’t appear to have any liquor in them. I had a Mai Tai and a piña colada and it was like drinking juice, nasty juice. 😑 What I did like was of course that it is definitely aesthetically pleasing. They also have a laundry room and they do give you change at the Front desk so that was nice. Also, it was closer to the mall and restaurants than the last place I stayed at so that was good and it wasn’t as far from the airport.

MUU Bangkok is a very confortable hotel with excellent facilities and a great location, close to many amenities. The rooms a very spacious and the most confortable, I love the interior design of MUU hotel.
The breakfast is delicious and the serving time is very long, the menu selection is delicious. Their Italian restaurant by the pool is fantastic too.
The staff is very friendly and attentive, they always go above the guests' expectations!

CCK97My wife and I recently celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary with a 3-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel and it was an unforgettable experience.
Although not so modern, our room was luxurious and well maintained, providing all the comforts and amenities we needed. We especially looked forward to breakfast each morning, eager to enjoy the chef’s special of the day, which never disappointed and added a delightful start to our day.
During our stay, we appreciated the convenient location near all the shopping malls and attractions.
Overall, our experience at the Grand Hyatt Erawan was wonderful except for an evening where the shower area and all the taps only has hot water regardless turning on the cold or hot water tap. The technician team was quick in resolving the issue about 15-20 mins later.
It made our 21st wedding anniversary extra special, and we will still come back for more anniversary celebrations. Highly recommended for couples or anyone seeking a luxurious getaway.

CCurt 常鹰We saved this hotel until last – slightly fancier than the other 3 in our time in Thailand – as a little final night trip, and unfortunately, it was the most disappointing of the lot. The price, by global standards, might not be eye-watering. But by Thailand prices, it was certainly higher end, at over 800rmb per night with a ~450 (2000bht) deposit upon arrival. It did not meet those standards, I'm afraid to say.
First things first, it should be said that it is fairly easy to get to on the MTR system, just a very short walk from Hwai Khwang, though it should be pointed out that when using Trip to find the location of Google Maps, I was given the wrong spot (further down the road, so actually a nice surprise to see it was closer, and I wont hold this against the hotel as it is likely nothing to do with them.)
Serve at check-in was good, bags carried up the stairs for us and taken to the room with the porter stood waiting as we arrived. Check-in staff were as friendly as one would expect at a Marriott-run hotel of this quality, & though I was slightly surprised by the price of the deposit it was ultimately fine.
We had booked a deluxe room with a double bed, and were told that since there was none available (?), we'd be upgraded to a Premier. Looking at the app since, I'm struggling to see where they differ. The decor in the Premier is perhaps a bit more modern, but they are the same size with the same bathroom (more on that later), and the lower price-point is on a much higher floor (ergo better view, I'd assume). In truth, had I paid for a Premier & been greeted with our room, I'd have been even more disappointed.
The room was fine, but I'm not sure much more than that. A decent size, though by no means surprisingly big. It was at least quite airy, and the bed pretty comfortable, though seriously lacking in plug sockets. I find it rare to see a hotel these days without plug sockets on both sides of the bed, especially a hotel at this price point. It meant that only one phone could be charged nearby, the other on the table on the other side of the room.
The bathroom, though, was really, really disappointing (& that's putting it lightly). The bathtub might have been a nice touch, had it not quite clearly had dried on blood stains in it. I've never experienced this in any hotel I've ever stayed at, no matter how cheap. Let alone at one double the price of anywhere else we stayed in Bangkok and Thailand! The sink, too, was clearly scratched up dirty, with two clear globs of dried on mucus. No face washing in there for us. Fortunate perhaps, given the number of towels provided too was pretty light. The bin in the bathroom also came with no bin bag. I'd hope that the inside is therefore cleaned regularly, but given what we'd seen before, I wasn't filled with hope.
Elswhere, breakfast was generally of expected quality. Nothing to write home about per se, but a very nice dining area and good service in fairness. The coffee was decent, though again by no means hugely memorable. The swimming pool is a highlight, offering great views across the city (indeed, the view from our room was quite nice too – though can't help thinking it would be better from a higher floor, like in the cheaper rooms!), with ample comfy beds and free towels. It might be a bit small in peak season, but there were only 3 other groups sharing with us, so plenty of space for a swim.
We also enjoyed the massage (850bht). The price was not included in the room fee, but I thought 850 seemed a decent price for the quality and the convenience.
Each of these things could be the most memorable part of the trip, were we not greeted by the dirtiest bathroom I've ever experienced in a hotel. & that's a real pity, because it was so avoidable too! Especially from a Marriott hotel, I'd really expect better.

GGuest UserPros: The hygiene is excellent. The common areas are right by the Chao Phraya River, and it's fantastic to enjoy a drink while watching the river at night. The staff are very enthusiastic. The bed space is ample, with two power outlets and a small locker with a combination lock. There's also a large storage cabinet in the room that opens with your room card.
Cons: The only way to get into the hostel is through a fish market, which has a very strong, fishy smell, though it's bearable. Being close to the river means there are quite a few insects, which is understandable. The toilets don't have air conditioning, so it gets extremely hot when using them. The air conditioning in the rooms is turned off daily from 11 AM to 3 PM, which isn't very friendly for guests who want to rest in bed.
Everyone's shoes are piled up on the second floor, and some of them are incredibly smelly, like biohazards. I hope the hotel can improve management and ensure everyone puts their shoes in a shoe cabinet!

This area seems to be a gathering place for Chinese people, probably around 70% Chinese guests. The breakfast selection was decent, and it's very close to Asiatique The Riverfront, about a 700-meter walk. I found a massage place nearby that offered foot massages for possibly the lowest price in Bangkok, 150B an hour. Overall, the hotel felt just okay.

GGarreth HuntBangkok was the last stop on our trip to Thailand and we booked this hotel as a treat to end our trip given it's 5 star status. We were left very disappointed...
The lobby is lovely and is indicative of a high end hotel but that's where it ended unfortunately. The rooms are 3 star at best. We had booked a room with a balcony specifically but the initial room we were given didn't have one. The staff were very helpful and moved us to another room with a balcony, however the balcony was surrounded by fans so we had limited views. We were offered another room on our second day with a better balcony but the room itself was smaller so we opted to stay where we were. From what we could see, none of the balconies are great so I would avoid paying the extra for rooms with them.
The pool is cold and in need of some work, the grout is coming away in many areas creating sharp edges in spots. Also not 5 star quality.
Breakfast was the nicest setup and offering we had seen in Thailand.

EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch.
John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better.
Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room.
The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.

The ladies always on the phone and pretend does not know what the guest are saying. Hoping someon can contact me from the hotel management. Rest is nice and buggy driver is the only one helpful.

The only downside was the pool — it was in the shade most of the time and located right in front of the hotel restaurant, so I didn’t really feel comfortable using it.

GGuest UserFurmna hotel is in a great.locatio. Easyf or walking and next to a Skytrain stop. Surrounded by great restauarants , noght markets, malls. Reception staff were very pleasant and they can organize all sorts of tours. Great value for money. Many floors are now renovated woth modern, comfortable, large rooms.
