We stayed here for one niy, and it was absolutely incredible! They gave us the best room in the hotel, the views were simply breathtaking. This was hands down the best hotel of our entire trip, and we stayed at 10 different places across China! The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed with huge floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the mountains and the lake . The service was outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond providing free shuttle service to the Old Town. The breakfast and afternoon tea were 😋

The staff here are incredibly welcoming and personable! We stayed for three days and two nights, and on our second day, we met some friends from the US. We all chatted together about how enthusiastic the guesthouse staff were, and how amazing the breakfast and afternoon tea spreads were! You can see the snow-capped mountains from both the rooms and the common areas! It's hard to believe this price includes so much – excellent value for money! I can totally understand why so many foreigners choose to stay here! During our three-day stay, we met people from Thailand, the US, and Russia. Usually, guesthouses don't include lunch or dinner, but during one of our afternoon tea sessions, we asked the staff, and they mentioned that if we needed it, we could just let them know in advance. It's a shame it rained during our visit; otherwise, the scenery would have been even more stunning! Due to the weather, we also asked the staff for advice on some of our activities. When we ran into issues buying tickets for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, they proactively offered to help us sort it out. If you're a social butterfly, this place is highly recommended! You can strike up conversations during afternoon tea. At first, the staff seemed a bit reserved, and honestly, so were we, haha. From their perspective, they probably weren't sure if guests wanted to chat. So, if you're looking to connect, feel free to be a bit more proactive – we certainly got to know them better over afternoon tea!

Spent 3 nights here in Lijiang for our Yunnan trip. Few things that stood out the most to me was the cleanliness, location and amenities. Located just within walkable distance from attractions such as Lijiang Ancient Town, Heilongtan Park, you could also find many shops and restaurants around the area. The room was lovely and built perfect for families who’d like to spend some time in Lijiang. Will definitely come back to this again for another time in Lijiang 🥹

Mercure was the most satisfying hotel during my family trip to Yunnan! Great value for money! For a 4-star hotel, this price is incredible! The room is spacious, with two 1.5-meter beds, and covers 40 square meters! It's the largest standard room I've ever stayed in! The breakfast is rich and varied, with both Western and Chinese options that are delicious! The laundry room is fragrant and clean! The front desk staff (both ladies and gentlemen) are very polite, always greeting guests with excellent service. I'll definitely book this one again when I come back to Lijiang!!

The hotel's location is a huge plus, with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and fruit stores nearby, making it super convenient for meals and groceries morning and night. It's also very close to the main road, so getting a taxi is easy. You can get to all the major attractions, shopping malls, and business venues without any detours, which is a big relief when you're traveling with luggage.

## Review **Facilities:** The layout of the triple room is very family-friendly for those with two children. The entrance is 1.5 meters wide, with a partition in the middle that integrates a TV and a computer desk. Inside, there's a 1.8m bed and a 1.2m bed. The wardrobe, restroom, and bathroom are all in a line, parallel to the bedroom. There are two sliding doors, each facing a large bed on either side of the partition, allowing both sides to use the restroom and bathroom without disturbing each other, and providing good privacy. The TV can rotate 180 degrees, so it can be watched from either side. **Environment:** A hidden gem is that the floor-to-ceiling windows in the corridor outside the door directly face Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. You can watch the sunrise gilding the mountain without even leaving the hotel in the morning. **Hygiene:** The breakfast selection is diverse, and the hygiene is excellent, making it reassuring for families with children. The rice noodles are self-service with customizable toppings. While not as delicious as established rice noodle restaurants, it's definitely better than the average street stall. **Environment:** The hotel is not on a main street, so it's quiet at night. Turning left or right and walking 30 meters will lead you to a main road, making it car-friendly and avoiding traffic. **Service:** The laundry room is always busy, but you can drop off your clothes there with your room number, and the staff will wash them and deliver them to your room, saving you the hassle of waiting in line. There are two computers in the lobby available for free use, convenient for researching travel plans or handling urgent work.

I originally booked a guesthouse in Lijiang Old Town, but ended up with a bait-and-switch situation (the room I booked was completely different from the one I got, despite multiple confirmations, they still switched it). The guesthouse owner was dishonest, so out of necessity, I found an Atour nearby for one night. Compared to guesthouses in the Old Town, staying in a hotel is definitely more comfortable (the Old Town is too noisy). This Atour is very close to the Big Windmill in Dayan Old Town, within walking distance. The only slight inconvenience was crossing the street; it was raining, and when we dragged our luggage through the underpass to the other side, there was no elevator! 😅 The lobby is spacious, and breakfast was quite good. Although the room wasn't huge, the layout was nice. Our twin room even had a sofa bed next to it, which was perfect for our child to sleep in separately.

The hotel environment is exceptionally good, perfect for business trips and stays. It's located right near Lijiang Ancient Town, just 1.3km away, an easy walk. From the parking lot on the 1st floor, the restaurant and billiard table on the 2nd floor, the 'Sky Mirror' photo spot on the 7th floor, to the sky garden on the 8th floor, there's a lot to do here. The accommodation is also very comfortable. Highly recommended!
