San Paolo Palace Hotel
"Quite far from the Centre. No towels when checked in. No WiFi at all. Reception wasn’t interested in helping Or explaining why no WiFi. Old hotel. Certainly not a 4 star."
Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa
"The hotel is in a great location, very close to the Quattro Canto and the Cathedral, just a few minutes walk, and 10 minutes walk to the train station. Thank you very much for upgrading my room. The lobby is very beautiful and the room is also great with a nice balcony and view."
Crisol Europa
"nice place, clean, internet was not working, not visitors allowed"
Hotel Mediterraneo
"Excellent breakfast and a very central location, with the option of paid hotel parking."
Quintocanto Hotel & Spa
"Very nice hotel in the center of Palermo, spacious and clean room."
Hotel Politeama
"The hotel to be , amazing location, breakfast very delicious."
Hotel Villa d'Amato
"My room was in the basement, and the first floor (seemed like maybe staff moving furniture around?) was very noisy after midnight. Lots of footsteps, talking, and the sound of moving furniture. It went on for hours both nights. I was also woken up at 8am my first day by someone knocking on my door. I assume it was the maid, but i can’t be sure. It was way too early to expect to be able to clean a room. The bed was hard and creaky (there were three beds in my room, not sure why as I booked a room with a single queen bed) with no real blanket. It was fairly clean, though there was some hair in the sink and shower that did not belong to me. The shower was the biggest problem as it was a fairly narrow stall shower, and the drain needs to be cleaned out - the shower flooded after just a few minutes. The furniture is all very old, and the lighting in the room was incredibly dim. It did not feel inviting or look anything like the pictures in the listing. The location is nearly an hour’s walk from Palermo Centrale and in another direction, nearly an hour’s walk from the Palazzo Butera. Unless you just want to visit the beach, it is not convenient at all. Even just buying water was a chore with the closest shop being about a quarter mile away. The city tax listed on Trip is incorrect. You will need to pay three euros per day. Overall, I would not stay here again."
Operà
"Perfect location. Save area. Few steps from old city. Close car parking. Clean building with elevator. Good breakfast. You'll have good restaurants and a shoping area close to you. You'll meet Marco who is the best host in Palermo. He is there for all you need."
Piazza Marina
"The experience at B&B Piazza Marina is one of those that quickly turned from a dream to a nightmare. As a Palermo resident with a guest in tow, I booked two nights at this beautiful B&B, specifying that I would need the ZTL pass, a service advertised on the website. I quickly communicated the license plate to the operator via Whatsapp who, very kindly, took note and assured me that he would communicate the license plate. All ok, I enjoyed the weekend in the Palermo area, accessing the ZTL by car on all 3 days of my stay. I made sure by phone that the ZTL pass had been activated - in fact on all 3 days - (a pass costing €5...) and I was told to "stay calm", because "everything is fine". Ok. But, after 3 months... BAM! I was notified of 2 fines for unauthorized access to the ZTL, for a total of €142! I therefore ask for explanations to the B&B's Whatsapp channel and... they candidly confirm that they entered the request only for the first day, not for the following ones. Do you realize? Despite my request and the reservation for 2 nights, they limited themselves to paying the pass only for the first day and, moreover, reassuring me that they would have communicated for the following days. Incredible. For a €5 daily pass. I will avoid telling you about the management of my request to have recognized the amount of the fines... they also accused me of wanting to "extort money" from them... In short... yet another example of "improvisation" by amateurs. There are better places around Palermo, go there if you really can't find anything available."

Splendid Hotel la Torre
"Simply amazing! And yes, get a room with a sea view. From the service to the food, I was delighted! It's a shame there were no rooms and I couldn't extend my stay for two more days. I recommend staying at least 4-5 days if you want to enjoy your vacation, the sea, and a beautiful hotel. If I return to this wonderful place, I will choose this hotel. Thank you all!"
Archè Design Rooms and Suites
"Arche Design is a nice place to stay in Palermo. It is more of a B&B than a true hotel, since there is no main lobby and there is not a reception desk staffed 24/7. However, all of the staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfasts were good, but the buffet was somewhat limited and since the breakfast room is small, you need to reserve your spot for breakfast, which worked out fine, but caused us to plan ahead more than we would have liked to. The rooms are a little tight but in good condition. The bathrooms were very nice. We appreciated that they provided washclothes and the rain showerhead was excellent. It is centrally located and less than a 20 minute walk to most of the key things to see in Palermo. The best part about the Arche Design was the price. We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights and the bill was under $1300, which is half of what we saw at other hotels. For most people on vacation, the Arche Design Rooms is a very nice place to stay at a Wonderful price."
NH Palermo
"Great location a 15 min walk from central train station and on the waterfront. You do have to walk 10+ minutes to get to restaurants and 15+ min to the historic city center. Staff were great, taxi stand at the hotel was super convenient as was the hop on hop off and other bus stops right there. Great views of the mountains and seaside. Pool opens May 1 but you can sit poolside and enjoy the fresh air and greenery surrounding the pool. Terrific restaurant and attentive wait staff. Room was generously sized and super clean. Across street from relaxing green spaces: Villa Giulia ( free park) and Botanical Garden (7 euros)"
Ruggero Settimo - Room & Suite
"Centrally located, clean, and spacious. The property is located in the center of Corso Ruggero Settimo, just 100 meters from Piazza del Politeama. This area is bustling with activity and close to major tourist attractions. From Ruggero Settimo, you can quickly reach the Teatro Massimo, Via Maqueda, Palazzo Pretoria, and the 4 Canti district. Highly recommended."
Palazzo Cartari
"This hotel is a little gem in the heart of the city. Hotel location is perfect only a five minute walk to the four corners. Staff are super friendly and attentive honestly would do anything for you. We had booked half board as it came as part of the package but only ate in the hotel the first night as wanted to try different places but this was a mistake as the meal in the hotel was by far the nicest meal we had. Will definitely be back to this hotel anytime we visit Palermo."
Porta di Castro Boutique Hotel & Spa
"This hotel is located in a residential area. If it is not for navigation, I don’t know that there is a hotel here. The brand is small and can be ignored. We once thought we were in the wrong place. This hotel is retro, nostalgic and artistic, and individuals are more inclined to modern hotels. Because of work and itinerary, we arrived after zero o'clock. The neighbor's child told us to call someone to receive. The waiter is still very good and very enthusiastic"
Hotel Porta Felice & Spa
"The location is easy to find, near the beach, and there are many restaurants on the pedestrian street outside. There's also a Chinatown nearby, which made me feel safe. We booked a triple room, and the double bed was very large. However, the air conditioner in the room seemed to be broken or something; it was always off no matter how many times I pressed the button, so it was very cold in the room at night. The bathroom was warmer than the room."
Casa Nostra Boutique Hotel & Spa
"Beautiful property, tastefully designed and perfectly located in the heart of Palermo. The rooms were comfortable and elegant, the staff was genuinely welcoming, and every detail was thoughtfully curated."
55 Aira Hotel
"I enjoyed the stay. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I enjoyed the location as it was right next to the train station. It was also very close to the morning markets in the area. My only complaint was that our shower wasn't fully tightened and so there was inconsistent water flow through the shower head. Everything else was great however."
Grand Hotel Wagner
"Old money style, convenient location, very close to the main shopping street, many restaurants around, you can walk to the main attractions, there are also grocery stores around, it is also convenient to buy small items. The room is not small, the extra bed is also quite comfortable, larger than the average European hotel room. The European breakfast is so-so, there is nothing wrong with it, the breakfast room on the top floor is not small, the service is friendly."
Albergo Athenaeum
"The hotel is a bit dated but the staff is very kind and helpful, the location is slightly off-centre but the breakfast is rather poor especially in the savoury section"
Kalamarina Rooms
"The room is very spacious for a group of 3 and everything works fine. The view olf the room is the square near to the hotel, and is very nice. The boss is a very interesting person and he is very nice to us, helping us to carry our luggage. We really appreciate the luggage storage part so that we don't have to carry it all the way during our trip."
