My gf and I recently stayed to attend the Russell Peters show at Casino Rama and overall had a great experience.
Positives: affordable, quick and easy check-in, comfortable bed, friendly and welcoming owner/manager, good location between Orillia downtown & Casino Rama, a short 10–15 minute drive either way.
Negatives: the noise - bad sound isolation between neighbors, water heater, fridge, etc. The location can be a negative: it’s quiet and away from the crowds, which is nice if you’re looking for peace, but it also means you’re further from amenities like grocery stores and restaurants.
Overall: If you’re looking for an affordable and comfortable stay with a friendly host, and don’t mind some noise or being a short drive from town conveniences, this inn is a solid choice - especially if you’re heading to Casino Rama for a show.

We needed a room due to weather conditions and being from out of the area. We were attending my daughter's wedding and had to make some very last minute changes which included my dog. The Hampton Inn was very accommodating. The location was perfect, the food and staff at the Hamptons in Barrie were exceptional and the accommodation was perfect. I suffer from PTSD and having my dear dog with me has helped immensely when staying at a hotel. I was very thankful that I was able to have her there. The staff and other guests loved her as she is a very sociable girl. Thank you for helping me with my last minute dilemma. I must commend all of your staff especially the lady who works preparing for the breakfast rush and doing double duty cleaning rooms. I am sorry I did not get her name. Thank you for a wonder stay.

SHAORONGBreakfast in the hotel I stayed in Canada was relatively good. There are many varieties of yogurt for breakfast, as well as several types of bread and hot tea. It may be late, no fruit can be found, the hotel room is relatively large, and the mattress is thick. Shower gel shampoo

YUDONGIt's good in a budget hotel, near the highway intersection on the edge of the city - convenient transportation and there are many large supermarkets next to it. I didn't expect the room to be quite big. During the epidemic, only breakfast was provided at the front desk. It is understandable that the room was not cleaned. After staying for three days, only myself will be able to keep it clean. The small city is still beautiful - the lake view is beautiful.

Nice clean place, big room. We got a room on the second floor and farthest from reception and there is no elevator and with the indoor swimming pool on the lower floor that meant a lot of walking and climbing stairs.
Our units door was out of sorts, very difficult opening and shutting it.
it is 10 minutes ride from Blue mountain village where most the action is.
No restaurant of own, there is a restaurant Gustav in the building which gives a measly 10% discount after charging high prices . However no other nearby pocket friendly food options except at the blue mountain village

Guest UserThe service was very friendly and quick. Hotel room was spacious and clean. The only thing was the people who had a room above us sounded like they were pacing the floors all the way through the night (4am!) , but that is not the hotels fault though.
Overall our stay was enjoyable.

When checking the hotel amenities before booking, it indicates that there is an elevator and a snack/bar deli on premises. I did not see either of these. We were fortunate to be on the ground floor, however friends were booked on second floor but fortunately were able to change rooms.
