Sitting in a daze at the entrance of the hotel, planting a circle of green plants, the height will not block the vision of the distance, but just cover the prying eyes of passers-by. Extremely comfortable for the fear of this society.
The purpose of this trip is to Nanyue Temple ＋ Hengshan, and I chose lazy people to travel. Because it was the first time to travel across the province alone, there was indeed a few minutes before I came. However, the reception, service and guidance of the hotel staff throughout the whole process are completely reassuring:
1. I have set up a big bed room. Guangzhou has an early bus to Hengshanxi. The hotel has a pick-up service. When I arrive, I will arrange a breakfast of lean meat rice noodles to warm my heart and stomach.
2. The room is on the fourth floor, the wet and dry separation is very good (I have lived in so many hotels and homestays this is really good), very shading, climbing down the mountain to sleep until ten o'clock! The cleanliness of the overall room is very reassuring.
3. How to ask incense, how to go to Hengshan, etc., very patient answer or guide. The main one is also responsive.
Next time I come back, I will continue to stay at this drop ～

Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping aunties were incredibly friendly, and the attention to detail in their service was impressive. The late-night noodles were delicious – I had them two nights in a row! This is hands down the best hotel I've stayed in in recent years across all aspects. It will definitely be my first choice whenever I'm staying at the foot of Mount Heng.

Service:
- The hotel owner himself picked me up and dropped me off at the local Hengshan West high speed rail station.
- The owner was very friendly and invited me to try some extremely high end tea. As I was a solo traveller, he also invited me to eat with him - trying some local dishes and sharing a few beers after.
- The owner offered to do a guided tour of some local attractions.
- The service is very personalised as there are only 12 rooms, with the owner himself personally serving guests and explaining the history of the local area.

Property:
- The construction is extremely high quality, with Tang-style aesthetic in the rooms, but a modern, western style common area and cafe. Having visited many boutique hotels in more remote areas, emphasis must be placed on the materials, polish and finish - giving a very sleek feel.
- There is a good balance of water features, with a fishpond where you can feed fish.
- The valley facing rooms have very good framing of the scenery including river and mountains in differing depth peripherals.
- The layout, location and surrounding mountainside adds a strong sense of privacy compared to the city.

- The rooms have high-end Toto bidet toilets.
- Rooms are very clean.
- The front-desk has different scented candles that can be used in your room.
- The furniture and amenities within the room are all brand new and at or above the standard as every 5-star city hotel.

Food:
- The owner kindly covered all 3 meals, of which lunch and dinner were more local, as I was joined by the owner and some staff. All meals are a-la-carte made to order by an in-house chef.
- The beef rice noodles with soup was an exceptional breakfast, especially for me who cannot eat very spicy food. (The local cuisine is generally very spicy preference.)
- You can pick fresh oranges in the orchard immediately adjacent to the hotel.

Local Area:
- The local area is not as popular for tourism as compared to places like the nearby Zhangjiajie Avatar Mountains. Many attractions are mainly Buddhism related such as temples or a purported 1000 year old Gingko Tree.
- The local Mount Heng can be hiked in under 4 hours.
- The local city is small and the hotel location is somewhat far from the city centre.

Overall this hotel provides a very tranquil environment to meditate and destress over tea, while looking at beautiful scenery. For the price point given, it offers a much better value compared to attempting to get the same conditions in the more popular, crowded scenic areas nearby.
If visiting the local city or adjacent Hengyang, this hotel is by far the most unique experience, as almost all other high end hotels are just the high-rise business hotel type.

GGuest UserI came here to know what it is to be at home. The lobby is clean and bright, and there is a dining area. I heard that there is milk tea drink after I heard that there is a meal service. Now the noodles and dishes made by grandparents are really delicious! I will come to live in the future for this meal! Speaking of the room, the quality of the room is far beyond the price. When I went upstairs, the automatic sensor light on the wall of the stairs was on along with my progress. I booked 301 on the third floor. The door said welcome home. The stairs to the fourth floor were still attached to the head. Seeing joy, the details are really super much. It can be seen that the boss's intentions are decorated. After the room was immediately bright, the sensor lights in the whole house were lit one by one. What came into view was a transparent layout, spacious and bright, clean and tidy. A room with a Zen design and a warm feeling of logs was really amazing. 🍵 There are short and scorpion in the area. It’s so cool to sit here and drink tea and eat snacks and play with your mobile phone! 1.5 The twin bed is very comfortable and clean, and there is even a fascia gun at the bedside. Those who come to climb the mountain can use it! All electrical appliances can be awakened or turned off through the smart housekeeper of the whole house, which saves effort. The toilet and shower are separated from wet and dry, the corners are clean and there are no dead ends, the toilet and blue cleaning liquid make people feel very clean, the toilet has small windows, and the ventilation is very good and there is no smell. In addition, there are TVs, small tables, sinks, lamp mirrors, the equipment is very complete and full of details, just as comfortable as in your own home. The location of the homestay is also super convenient. It is just behind the temple. If you want to burn incense and worship Buddha, you can go to the first floor to find your grandmother to buy incense. The price is really convenient. Because there is a short distance from the main road, the noise is very small, the view outside the window is good, if you come by car, you can contact the boss to reserve a parking space. This price is really the best homestay I have ever stayed in! If I insist on the shortcomings, I can live for a day, and I will have the opportunity to come with my friends in the future, and I will stay here!

ZZai_lushangI usually don’t comment on this B&B. I would like to say that the location at the foot of Hengshan Mountain is excellent. It takes a few minutes to reach the Hengshan Visitor Center. The room is clean and well-equipped. I forgot to take pictures when I arrived late. The owner and his wife are very welcoming and responsive to all requests. The pick-up station is also available. Helped with luggage, and also prepared breakfast and gifts. Next time I will come to hike the entire mountain and will definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff was friendly and the check-in process was quick and efficient. They also introduced me to the hotel's facilities and surrounding attractions.
Entering the room, the first impression is that it is clean and comfortable. The bed is soft and provides a good night's sleep. The decor in the room is warm and elegant, and the facilities are all new and well-functioning.
The hotel's dining is also impressive. The breakfast is rich in variety and of high quality. Whether it is Chinese porridge or Western bread and pastries, they are all fresh and delicious. The service staff in the restaurant also keep smiling at all times, making people feel happy while dining.
In addition, the hotel's location is very advantageous, with convenient transportation and complete surrounding supporting facilities. Whether it is shopping, entertainment or tasting local food, it is extremely convenient.
All in all, I am very satisfied with this accommodation experience. I will definitely choose here again next time I have the opportunity.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a few km away from Nanyue area where the popular Nanyue Temple 南岳大庙 is located. However, public bus ¥6/way is available in front of the hotel. Bus ride is about 30-45min. After Temple visit, exit through the back gate and start the hiking to Hengshan. Recommend to take a mini bus ¥40/way（中巴）up to Nantian Gate 南天门, from there hike to the peak and walk down on foot. Total steps 37k.
There is a KFC next to hotel. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.
In general, quite a reasonable stay.
