Hotels with Parking in Yogyakarta

The room was clean and smelled good, the staff were friendly, and the location was close to tourist attractions. It even had a balcony! ************* We got a free upgrade to a Junior Suite... Thumbs up! I'm so satisfied with my stay here, I'll definitely come back. Plus, there's a food center just across the street, and many cafes scattered around the hotel.

Wonderful hotel! I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful touch—the welcome fruit platter was much appreciated. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the staff did a fantastic job. The pool is a real treat, so refreshing after walking around all day. And the breakfast was simply superb! I highly recommend it to everyone, you won't regret it.

We love the location of this Hotel. Easy to walk to the nearest shopping areas. Breakfast spread is good although this is within the fasting period. Only one small comment is the Bathing room is very slippery when showering. I slipped and fall while bathing, lucky that I didn't knock on to the glass panel or the wall. Suggest to have bathing mat at the showering point. Overall for my friends and I are very satisfy with the stay at Harper Hotel.

### Location The hotel is not too far from Malioboro Street, and it is possible to walk there. If you prefer taking a taxi, the distance is short enough that it should not cost much. Personally, I think taking a local *tuk-tuk* would be more convenient and give you more of the local experience. However, the walking route between the hotel and Malioboro can be quite dark at night, so I would not particularly recommend walking back late in the evening. If I were to visit Yogyakarta again, I would probably choose a hotel located directly around Malioboro Street. It would be more convenient for exploring the area on foot, with more things to see and do nearby, as well as easier access to various tourist attractions without having to rely on taxis. ### Staff & Service The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Both the doorman and the reception staff were pleasant and helpful. I also liked that complimentary drinking water/tea was available at the reception counter for guests to serve themselves. ### Nearby Facilities One thing I particularly liked about the location is that there is a supermarket nearby. This is very convenient if you want to buy snacks as souvenirs to take home, as well as fruit, food, or other necessities. ### Room 5023, with glass windows, but no balcony The room was reasonably spacious for the price and was clean and comfortable. I particularly liked the pillows — they were neither too firm nor too high, which suited my preference perfectly. The room was equipped with an electric kettle, tea and coffee sachets, two bottles of drinking water, and a refrigerator. However, there was no minibar with additional drinks or snacks. The hotel slippers were specially made for the hotel and were surprisingly good quality. They were comfortable to wear and felt much better than the typical disposable hotel slippers. ### Bathroom The bathroom was clean and had a good range of basic amenities. Towels were provided, although there were no separate hand towels or face towels. The toilet also had a handheld bidet spray, which is always a plus for me. A hairdryer and standard toiletries were provided. The toothbrush provided was rather hard, though. There was no shaving kit in the room, but I believe this could probably be requested from the reception. ### Facilities The hotel has a spacious parking area at the front. There is also a gym and a swimming pool on the rooftop, where you can enjoy views over the city. You can order drinks and light food by the pool as well. When I went up to have a look, I saw quite some guests swimming, having drinks, and relaxing in the open air. The atmosphere was quite lively and pleasant. The spa is located on the fifth floor. ### Breakfast I booked a room without breakfast, so unfortunately I cannot comment on the breakfast menu or the quality and taste of the food.

The hotel is located on a small street, not too far from the train station, but the distance is awkward – a bit too far to walk comfortably, and taking a taxi can be a nightmare due to traffic (it took 30 minutes by taxi at 8 PM). When we were leaving Yogyakarta, it was incredibly difficult to get a taxi from the hotel; we had to wait about 20 minutes each time, and eventually ended up taking two trishaws. The room felt like an old house that had been given a quick paint job. The bathroom was quite basic, especially the shower area, which was tiny and had no door, so water sprayed everywhere, leaving the floor soaking wet. However, I'd give the service five stars. The room was cleaned thoroughly and meticulously, and the front desk staff were all very warm and responsible. The hotel breakfast was quite rich with a good variety, but it was all Indonesian style, which might not suit a Chinese palate.

I stayed for 3 nights for sightseeing. The room was spacious and clean, and I had a very comfortable stay. The staff were all very kind, and their polite and warm service left a strong impression. The location is also good, with cafes nearby which is convenient. Getting to Malioboro is also smooth if you use the bus. Furthermore, the drinks provided in the lobby were delicious, a small but welcome touch. I think it's amazing to be able to stay in a hotel of this quality for this price. If I have the opportunity to visit Yogyakarta again, I would definitely like to stay here.

How can they offer guests a worn-out mattress with holes in it???? The twin beds were also tiny, only 90cm, even though standard hotel and even dorm beds are usually 120cm. Plus, the springs were weak, making them sag and very uncomfortable. In the end, we decided not to extend our stay and moved to a different hotel.

Because it's hot in Jogja, I really wanted to shower from head to toe the moment I arrived at the hotel, but there was no hairdryer provided. I was afraid my hair wouldn't dry if I showered at night, and I wouldn't have time to dry it if I showered in the morning.

The price is affordable, and the room isn't too cramped, so there's still space for prayer. There are many food vendors in front of the hotel. Downsides: the quality of the toothpaste amenity isn't good, so I didn't use it at all. It's difficult to perform ablution (wudhu), even at the sink. However, the breakfast was quite good, especially the fried vermicelli and butter chicken – absolutely delicious!

This is the most strategically located hotel I've stayed at during my holidays in Yogyakarta these past few years. I'll definitely come back to stay here again. Thank you to the staff, they were all friendly and helpful.
