A once-in-a-lifetime trip made more meaningful and charming by world-leading staff and service. We messaged ahead and told them that we were on our honeymoon. Iceland is a unique place on Earth, but almost as surprising as the geology, geography and weather was just how remarkable and excellent this hotel was. Its location was outstanding right in the old city centre and an easy walk to boat trips (for organised bus trips, which all use the same bus stop numbering, the nearest bus stop is number 5, about 5 minutes’ walk away), the breakfast was splendid and the room was unbelievably cosy, which was particularly welcome after a winter’s day adventuring amongst the ice and snow and especially the epic and cold wind. This once-in-a-lifetime trip was made extraordinarily special by the outstanding and attentive staff who really impressed with their thoughtfulness and commitment to excellence throughout. We cannot thank the whole team enough, both everyone we met as well as everyone who worked behind the scenes, for delivering a world-leading stay. We felt exceptionally lucky to have chosen this hotel, and so delighted that we did!

Transportation: It's a bit of a trek from the BSI bus terminal, but it's pretty central to all the downtown attractions, with everything within 800 meters. The popular Islenski Barinn (delicious!) is just 100 meters downstairs, and it's only a 5-6 minute walk to Harpa Concert Hall to catch a bus. Facilities: The apartment comes with a stove, cookware, and dishes, including an oven and dishwasher. However, there's no complimentary water, no toothbrush or toothpaste, and no slippers. There's only a 2-in-1 shampoo and shower gel. Toilet paper and towels are provided. Service: You can check in at 2 AM at the Center Hotel, which is 10 meters across the street. You might have to knock a bit. The front desk staff was very welcoming. You can store your luggage after checking out. There are a few steps where you'll need to carry your suitcase, but there's an elevator for sections with more stairs. Environment: It's quite clean and very trendy. There aren't many power outlets, and it's not soundproof. Someone was having a party late at night, so they thoughtfully provided earplugs... The blackout curtains aren't completely effective, so I'd recommend bringing an eye mask.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel! First off, the staff were all very polite and friendly. Also, before checking into this hotel, we had just finished an 8-day, 7-night island tour. Since there were luggage size restrictions on the tour, it was a huge relief that this hotel allowed us to store some of our luggage while we were away. Upon entering the room, the facilities were even better than expected. There was plenty of space to put our belongings and hang clothes. The lotion provided was also very useful, especially given how dry it can be in the room. I will definitely book this hotel again if I come back to Iceland!

Service provided by Ginta was excellent! Initially we were assigned to a room on the 3rd floor, which would have been impossible for us as there was no elevator and we had two big luggages. Ginta was very helpful and accommodating to our request, she called her manager and helped us to change rooms to the first floor. We also had to leave early by 7:30am the next day for a tour, but breakfast officially only starts at 7:30am. Ginta helped to arrange and ensure we had breakfast before we left. Location is great, less than a 5 minute walk to bus stop #8 and Hallgrimskirkja church. It was also easy to walk to Rainbow street, Laugavegur and other attractions.

The room was in the basement, and while the window could open, it faced the parking lot and trash collection point on the first floor. The top right corner of the window had a clear view of the trash area, and my head was right next to that corner when in bed. I immediately requested a room change and had to pay €30 to upgrade to a room on the 3rd floor. The hotel staff claimed it was Trip.com's arrangement and told me to contact Trip.com directly to complain. Just thinking about that room makes me nauseous.

My stay at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica was, overall, very satisfying. The hotel itself is spacious and comfortable, with a clean and modern design that perfectly captures the fresh Scandinavian aesthetic, while also offering the refinement and convenience expected of a high-quality accommodation. The front desk staff were excellent; check-in and check-out were efficient, and communication was smooth, making them feel both professional and attentive. My room was spotless and quite spacious, with a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The attention to cleanliness details made me feel very secure and at ease. The hotel breakfast is also commendable, with a wide variety of fresh options that perfectly met my dining needs during the trip. While not in the absolute city center, the location is still convenient for getting around, and the quiet surroundings are ideal for a good rest. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, providing a consistent and reliable stay. Whether for a business trip or a leisure vacation, you'll experience excellent service and quality here. All in all, this hotel offers a great combination of comfort, service, and brand assurance. My entire stay was pleasant and effortless, making it a highly recommended and quality accommodation option when visiting Reykjavik.

Hands down the best hostel in Iceland! The common areas are incredibly clean, and the private bathrooms with showers are a huge plus. It's super warm inside – almost too warm! The bedding is really soft, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking.

Admittedly I only spent a few hours in a single room in this guesthouse. It is one of the closest and best priced options next to the Bus Station (BSI) where the Keflavik Airport Flybus stops (10 mins walk away on flat terrain). It was not easy to get there but Google Maps guided me well. I slept here before taking a domestic flight from Reykjavik Domestic to Akureyri in the morning (30 mins walk away on flat terrain). The room is very spartan - bed, desk and chair plus lampshade, clothes rack and small water sink. Toilet and shower rooms (separate) were right opposite my room. Self-checkin since I was quite late. Bed was very comfortable. Room very warm. Good curtains to keep out the midnight sun..

For a hostel, rooms and toilet/showers are kept clean. Location is fairly accessible to transport and about 20-30 minutes walk to the centre. Kitchen is quite small for the guests but is equipped with hob, cookingware, dinnerware. Towels can be rented at the reception. Unfortunately the reception closes at 9pm so it is trickh for late check ins. Vending machines with cup noodles and drinks available near the reception.

The hotel's location is excellent, and parking is super convenient and free. The room isn't huge, and the bathroom is a bit small, but it's very clean, and the bedding is fresh and comfortable. The front desk staff are also very friendly.
