"Lanta Sands was disappointing. The welcome was peremptory, as if the person had done it a thousand times before. The service wasn’t awful but much less professional than other resorts we’d visited and the food pretty average though breakfast buffet decent. Beach very crowded. Our room looked out onto the shabby backs of buildings, so we decided to move on after one night instead of staying for the two extra days we’d paid for. Perhaps just not for us. There are better deals than this to be had on Koh Lanta."

"We stayed at rawi warin for 4 nights in one of the hillside rooms. The room was spacious with a small balcony. The bed in particular felt huge as it was 2 beds pushed together. As other reviews mention, the hillside rooms are about a 10 mins walk away from the main pool. Walking is quite pleasant though as you are surrounded by greenery. And there's a closer hillside pool that has a great view. The facilities were great esp. the main pool which was huge, chlorine free, and very empty past 6pm - we were often the only ones using it in the evening. Also enjoyed the table tennis and pool tables. My only piece of feedback is that the resort could be better lit at night - it was too dark walking down paths/stairs. Loved seeing lizards and monkeys around the resort. Didn't try the hotel food much - there are some good restaurants a short walk away. The stretch of beach attached to the resort was beautiful and good for swimming."

"We had a wonderful time at the Alama Resort. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We loved the pool area the most; we spent several hours there every day, always found a spot, and the water was very clean. The food and drinks were also delicious. Our room was cleaned daily, the air conditioning worked well, and our balcony was very cozy, surrounded by greenery. The location was great, with the beach just a few minutes' walk away, where we watched the sunset every evening. We would always recommend it and would love to come back!"

"Great hotel with a spacious area and a large pool. We stayed in a bungalow right by the sea. Breakfasts were excellent; we bought them on-site for 250 baht per person, but it's cheaper to book with breakfast included from the start. The air conditioning worked perfectly. I recommend renting a moped to explore the island and see the sights on your own. There's no police presence."

"If I could rate them an 11 out of 10, I would! The staffs were amazing, kind and at times go above to care for their guests. They provide free shuttle to/ from the airport in very comfortable and luxurious minivans, which saves you alot of money and hassle. They can even assist in arranging transportation to other parts of Krabi, this would come with a fee. If you have any dietary/ meal preference, their chefs will cater to your needs. Requests outside of breakfast will come at a fee. The grilled seafood here is fresh and super tasty. Frank, their GM, would greet you as you check in, during breakfast and even check out. You just don't get this kind of attention and care anymore. I'm already planning my next trip to Layana!"

"What an incredible place! We’re staying at the Twin Lotus Resort & Spa (adults-only during this season) on Koh Lanta, and we couldn’t be happier. The location is fantastic: it’s right on Klong Dao Beach, a super long stretch of beautiful white sand. Even at low tide, it’s all soft sand—no rocks or coral to worry about. In the mornings, it’s pure bliss to walk for miles along the shoreline with the calm sea and peaceful atmosphere. Absolutely lovely. The resort itself is spectacular. Surrounded by tall palm trees and lush tropical gardens, it feels like a real oasis of calm. No kids around (strictly adults only), so you can truly breathe in the peace and tranquility—perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. The infinity pool is stunning, positioned right in front of the beach with comfy sun loungers and high-quality towels. You can spend the whole day switching between the pool, the sea, and a shady spot under the palms… heaven! The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive—always smiling, super helpful, and the service is top-notch. Breakfast is excellent with a great variety and everything tastes delicious. In general, the food at the resort restaurants is really good, both in quality and presentation. Honestly, it’s rated as 4 stars, but in terms of experience, it outshines many 5-star places we’ve stayed at before. I have no idea why it doesn’t have 5 stars officially—it’s spotless, beautifully maintained, and the overall vibe is just perfect. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing spot on Koh Lanta, don’t hesitate—come to Twin Lotus Resort & Spa. You won’t regret it for a second. "I can only assume the five stars are for the bathtub, but the water pressure is quite low. 1. Check-in requires a cash deposit or logging your credit card details. 2. The bedding was genuinely damp. I thought it might be typical for a seaside location, but other hotels, even with sea view rooms, weren't nearly as damp. 3. Upon check-in, the bedding looked really old and worn, like it was long overdue for an update. 4. Razors and similar amenities are not standard; you have to ask for them. This room type has no elevator, and while it's only up to the third floor, it's quite a trek. 5. The poolside area and happy hour by the sea are nice. Compared to the Double Lotus (four-star) hotels nearby, they are significantly better than this one."

"Booked four nights with three different room types during Chinese New Year. When we moved to the family room, there was a power outage from 3 to 5 PM, and it got incredibly hot inside. The living room was downstairs, with two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. The hotel is quite large for the island, but the overall facilities are very old and outdated. The front desk service was okay, but there was a male waiter in the restaurant who spoke a little Chinese and was very rude. When we were eating in their restaurant, he started clearing our plates before we were even finished, as if he was rushing us out. We tried a few restaurants on the island, and this one had the worst service by far! Oh, and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely terrible, with hardly anything worth eating."

"It cost 150🐖 per person from the pier. Check-in was in the middle. Ms. Guan was a nice lady and took us to the room. Having said the precautions, the most important thing is to remind us monkeys. When monkeys come back to eat, lock the refrigerator door and don’t put important items in the living room. We all thought it was a joke, but it turned out that the monkeys were really rampant. Monkeys will dig through trash cans, eat all the coconut meat, and even sneak into the room to eat snacks... so be sure to lock the door when you go out. The toilet in the room is open-air, and there are snakes. We all saw them, but they were very small. When I came back in the evening, there were a lot of hermit crabs, snails, and geckos by the pool. The ecology is very good, like a zoo, hahaha. The hotel rents a motorcycle for 250🐖."
