Some places are meant to be passed through. Others are meant for surrendering oneself to the valley. Hidden in Xinzhai Village, Lujiangba, Baoshan, Yunnan, Huke Coffee Estate Hotel rests at the foot of the Gaoligong Mountains, facing the Nujiang River Valley and gently embraced by 13,600 acres of contiguous coffee plantations. This is not just another countryside retreat beyond the city, but a place where one can truly slow down, quiet the mind, and rediscover the rhythm of breath and time. As the mountain road winds upward, the view gradually unfolds—mountain breeze, the aroma of coffee, drifting mist, and layers of green coming forward all at once. For first-time visitors, there is no need to worry about unfamiliar mountain roads; the estate can arrange pickup from the visitor reception center, making arrival feel more reassuring and allowing this journey to begin with less hesitation and more anticipation. Once here, many realize that this trip is not about getting somewhere quickly, but about moving a little farther from the noise and a little closer to oneself. The beauty of Huke is not loud or dramatic. It is the kind of beauty that naturally quiets the heart. Traditional all-wood Dai-style buildings are scattered across the mountainside, with timber roofs, wooden corridors, terrace views, and morning valley mist reflecting one another. The entire estate carries an understated sense of ease and restraint. Guest rooms are tucked among the trees, each one holding the landscape just outside the window. In the morning, distant mountains and rolling clouds slowly unfold before the eyes; by evening, the light softens and timber interiors blend gently into the valley scenery, making both movement and mood slow down almost without notice. The 270-degree mountain-view rooms, terraces, and soaking tubs are not simply beautiful design elements—they are invitations to pause, to look at the mountains, listen to the wind, do nothing for a while, and gradually empty a mind that has been overfilled for too long. It is, of course, a place that photographs beautifully. But more precious than that is the fact that every photograph taken here feels effortless, because the surroundings themselves are so open, breathable, and naturally composed. Standing on a terrace, sitting by the window, strolling along a wooden corridor, or quietly leaning by the infinity pool, one sees the Nujiang River Valley in the distance and vast coffee fields nearby. The layers are already there. What people tend to love is not the need to take many photos, but the instinct to preserve a moment because the valley, the light, the timber, the mist, and the self all feel exactly as they should. Coffee is another gentle form of healing here. Located in the core production area of Baoshan Small-Bean Coffee, Huke carries more than seventy years of cultivation heritage, giving this land a depth that feels both real and lasting. Staying here means truly enjoying coffee as part of estate life—the estate’s own high-altitude coffee is available complimentary throughout the stay, and a cup may even be taken along on the journey back, carrying that clarity and fragrance a little farther. Guests may also walk into the coffee groves, see bright red coffee cherries hanging from the branches, and step into the professional coffee workshop to slowly experience a hand-brewed cup from rising aroma to lingering finish. In the city, coffee is often for staying awake. Here, it becomes a way to unwind, a way to reconnect with the land, the valley, and oneself. Many people worry that visiting on a rainy day may not be worthwhile. But those who truly understand Huke know that rain can be one of its most moving moments. As rain falls into the coffee fields, mist rises gently along the hillsides. The layered outlines at the foot of the Gaoligong Mountains fade in and out, while the Nujiang River Valley slips softly behind veils of moisture, and the entire estate seems to dissolve into a living ink painting. Listening to rain in a wooden house, with the scent of coffee in the air, one can sit by the window or on the terrace with nothing planned at all—simply watching clouds drift and hearing the rain fall, until the heart quiets on its own. Huke on a sunny day is expansive and luminous; Huke in the rain is softer, calmer, and even more restorative. In many places, rain is merely weather. Here, rain is scenery, and an experience in itself. Beyond staying and looking, this is also a place to return time to nature. Guests may follow light hiking trails through vast coffee fields and the Gaoligong rainforest, observing plants and listening to birdsong as the body gradually releases its tension. One may wait for sunset at the viewing platform, or look up at the stars at night and reclaim a kind of stillness rarely found in the city. For couples, close friends, families, or anyone simply seeking a place to rest, this is more than a brief stop—it is a stretch of valley time in which emotions can be gently set down. The food continues this same rhythm of comfort. Fresh Dai cuisine, coffee-braised chicken, and other signature dishes bring together local flavor and estate life with ease. Breakfast, served with terrace views of the mountains, turns even a simple meal into something soft and unhurried. As for service, the estate does not seek to impress with exaggerated formality, but with attentiveness that feels just right—butler-style care, efficient check-in and check-out, luggage storage, and 24-hour security all make the stay feel both reassuring and effortless. Huke Coffee Estate Hotel has never been simply a place to spend the night. It is better understood as a restorative mountain-valley retreat worth making a special journey for: on sunny days, there are vast coffee fields, sunrise clouds, and sweeping mountain views; on rainy days, there is the sound of rain on wood, mist rolling through the valley, and a rare sense of quiet not easily found elsewhere; and in every kind of weather, it offers the chance to slow down, soften the mind, and return oneself to nature. For anyone seeking a place that is not merely beautiful, but truly calming, healing, and worth the journey, Huke would be an answer difficult to replace.

"Room type: Suitable for two generations, but not ideal for three generations. There's a lack of privacy, with only one bathroom that needs to be passed through, offering no privacy at all. The front desk staff was lovely, but the cafe was just so-so. For afternoon tea, four adults and one child were given only a tiny cake, which felt incredibly stingy. Dinner was also portioned per room and seemed very scant, even though we got extra food later and it was free. The overall experience definitely wasn't luxurious, and I felt it didn't live up to the price. Breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but it was a great experience, and you could tell the chef and owner put a lot of heart into it. When I mentioned feeling a bit unwell with a stomach bug, he proactively suggested adding a lot of finely chopped ginger to my rice noodles. Their sauces were also delicious. Thank you to him. However, the cafe only offered two types of coffee: latte and pour-over. They didn't provide any other options, which made me feel like they weren't very keen on satisfying customers or particularly passionate about coffee, even though it was all complimentary. But the natural scenery was absolutely stunning; I loved the view. My family's experience was quite impacted by the service, though. I'd only stay here for one day at most."

"In the rainy season, I was ready to go to Ruili by car. I was really tired of driving all the way. I couldn't stand it when I drove to Baoshan. I decided to stay for one night temporarily. I didn't expect to dig into the treasure homestay by mistake! The room is fully equipped and comfortable, the air conditioning is very windy, recently watching football projection screen is in place, and the hygiene is very clean, the boss and his wife are a Hunanese, a local Baoshan indigenous, and they are clear about the customs and local play guides of Yunnan. I am very interested in Nanhong culture. The boss intimately recommended to go to Nanhong Museum. After visiting the field, I am full of harvests. It is a worthwhile trip. Before I checked in, I mistakenly thought that the store was a northerner, and I almost dispelled the idea of placing an order. Fortunately, I finally decided it! The boss explained that the previous evaluation was written by the guest AI, which caused a misunderstanding. The couple were particularly talkative and easy-going, and there was no sense of distance to chat. Baoshan is really comfortable in summer, the scenery is good, the temperature is cool, the summer is great to take a cool summer, the local mango is only five cents a catty, sweet and juicy price is full! This short stay experience is full, and the return trip will definitely come back to Baoshan. I really recommend it to friends who come to Baoshan to play!"

Tengchong Anyu Aesthetics · Forest Oxygen Hot Spring (Heshun Ancient Town)

9.9/10
Perfect

I prefer the tranquility and gentleness of Tengchong. It took me two days to deeply explore Heshun Ancient Town, from the hundred-year-old Shuanghong Bridge and the venerable Heshun Library to the rustic ancestral halls and ancient waterside alleys. Every scene is a healing glimpse of life on the border. While exploring the town's vibrant life, what captivated me most was the Anyu Aesthetic Hot Spring B&B, which cured all my travel fatigue. Unlike the cookie-cutter decor of many B&Bs, this one combines aesthetic sophistication with high-end amenities. Each room is meticulously crafted: Simmons Black Label mattresses and high-thread-count white goose down bedding ensure an exceptional sleep experience; Daikin air conditioners and underfloor heating throughout are perfectly suited to Tengchong's climate, making it comfortable year-round. The Xiaodu smart control system and Marshall Bluetooth speaker create an amazing ambiance, perfect for some peaceful solitude. The full suite of high-end appliances adds to the luxurious feel: a Smeg kettle, Dometic refrigerator, Dyson hairdryer, Hansgrohe shower, and TOTO smart toilet – every detail speaks of quality. The private courtyard with its natural sodium bicarbonate hot spring offers ultimate privacy. You can explore the cultural heritage of the ancient town by day, then retreat to your private hot spring at night, letting the evening breeze melt away all your fatigue. The meticulous service was the biggest bonus! There's 24-hour one-on-one butler service, including complimentary airport transfers and precise planning for your Tengchong itinerary. They thoughtfully share tips on unique photo spots and how to avoid tourist traps. Upon check-in, you receive a welcome fruit basket. At night, there's exclusive floral tea and milk for your hot spring soak, and a delicate, authentic nutritious breakfast awaits in the morning. The aroma of Italian coffee wafts through the public areas, making a leisurely sit and daydream the most delightful way to spend your vacation in Tengchong. 🌙

We've entered an idyllic haven where aesthetics and warmth coexist! This guesthouse completely captivated our entire family ❤️ From the moment we stepped through the door, our eyes were conquered by the fusion of Chinese and Western design aesthetics! The meticulously tended succulents, the chandeliers under the old wooden beams, the vintage leather sofas and oil paintings… every corner is like a carefully curated art gallery, every snapshot a masterpiece of atmosphere 📸 Even more delightful were the guesthouse's five cats 🐾. Their gentle nature instantly made them my son's best playmates. The little guy chased his ”furry butlers” all over the yard every day, his innocent laughter and the cats' purring becoming the most beautiful background music of our trip. The common areas are veritable ”all-in-one living rooms”: wake up your taste buds with hand-drip coffee at the bar in the morning ☕, curl up on the sofa with the cats and read a book in the afternoon, and sing karaoke with friends in the karaoke room 🎤 or play cards at the card table 🃏 in the evening… Most surprisingly, there's a tranquil Buddhist shrine hidden deep within 🕯️! In the brief moment of quiet contemplation while burning incense, the hustle and bustle abruptly ceases. This collision of Eastern Zen and Western entertainment is a truly soul-stirring fusion! This is far more than just a guesthouse—it's an aesthetically pleasing space where you can feel the warmth of human connection, a happy planet for children and cats, and an idyllic haven where everyone can find a sense of belonging. Highly recommended for design lovers, cat enthusiasts, families with children, and those seeking unique experiences!

Tengchong Boyun Inn was an absolute delight! Our experience was top-notch. We stayed in a rooftop room which offered incredible views and came with its own outdoor private hot spring – so relaxing to soak in at night. From the terrace, you could overlook the entire Heshun ancient town; the scenery was expansive and truly healing. At night, with all the town lights twinkling, the atmosphere was just magical. The front desk staff and the owner were wonderful, very gentle, polite, and welcoming. They patiently explained local attractions, historical anecdotes, and recommended great places to eat and must-see spots. The shuttle driver helped with our luggage the whole way and provided thoughtful pick-up and drop-off service – truly attentive and heartwarming. The room was clean and comfortable, the environment peaceful and relaxing. We had a comfortable and worry-free stay. I highly recommend this inn when visiting Heshun Ancient Town!

The rooms in the hotel are very warm. The handsome butler and the little girl at the front desk are very enthusiastic. The service is very user-friendly. The roasted tea experience every night around the fire is great. The guests who were with us took special photos, which is particularly great. There is also the balcony of the hotel. The corridors and hallways are beautiful, and the photos are particularly impressive, as well as the celebrity dog Momo. I really give it a five-star review! I hope I will have the opportunity to stay at Mohe Shuxin Panoramic Hot Spring Hotel in Heshun Ancient Town in the future.

The hotel housekeeper Xiao Cha was very nice. He was very patient in communicating before the trip and provided excellent service during the trip. I forgot my hat in the ancient town store after breakfast. I remembered it during the tour and called Xiaocha to help me go to the store to check if it was still there. It was raining heavily in the ancient town that day. Xiaocha didn’t hesitate and quickly took the hat back to the hotel. It was very surprising. move. The hotel's breakfast is relatively clean and has local characteristics. It will be arranged in advance if you go out early. Take a hot spring bath every night and sleep comfortably. marvelous!

This time I came to Tengchong with my lover. I spent 4 days in Tengchong, and 30,000 miles was my last day in Tengchong, but it was definitely the most satisfying stop I felt on my trip. After booking the inn, I contacted me whether to pick up the station. I thought it would be like other hotels. When I told me that I had already stopped picking us up after Tengchong, the inn arranged for a vehicle to pick us up at other hotels on time. Perhaps the real meaning of the word home away from home is from this moment. The boss is a local, the inn is a small part of his industry, but very enthusiastic but not as shrewd as a businessman, more than the simplicity of the local. Knowing that I like to drink, the various kinds of soaked wine in the inn made me taste it. I especially like the name they gave the wine ”Lovers' Tears” and ”Acacia”. There is a puppy in the inn that is very cute. . . There are many details that are highly recommended, but in general, I will definitely come back to this inn, and I highly recommend everyone to stay.

This journey is a journey that is just about to go. There is no plan. I booked a homestay in Trip.com and got on the plane. I didn’t expect the driver who picked us up to be a great tour guide. He arranged a few days of itinerary for us. The car is GL8, and the food is also the best local specialties. Also introduced Tengchong Sanbao, but unfortunately we have limited time and have not played enough. I have time to travel to Tengchong.

I rarely stay in B&Bs, but this time I was traveling with a lot of friends, and we were on a budget. I asked a local friend for recommendations and they suggested this place. We arrived around 8 PM, and the B&B owner had already arranged a car to pick us up from outside the scenic area. She was incredibly welcoming, helped us settle in, and gave us tips on places to explore nearby. The B&B's location and the fact that it's an older building mean there's no air conditioning. However, Tengchong isn't super hot in August, and they provide fans in the rooms, so it was still comfortable. The most pleasant surprise was how warm and considerate the owner was; she was always quick to respond to any needs and immediately resolved any comfort issues during our stay. If you're on a budget and looking for a good experience at a similar price point, I highly recommend this place.

A picturesque view from the window, a soothing hot spring experience. The morning mist of Wild Duck Lake unfolds like a scroll painting before your eyes—egrets gracefully glide across the mirror-like surface, and century-old persimmon trees are reflected in the shimmering water. The hot spring is an even bigger surprise: private pools draw on volcanic geothermal heat; soaking in the hot springs while watching the sunset paint the lake red, all fatigue instantly dissipates. Upon arrival, they braved the rain to help with luggage; the bedding smelled of sunshine; the hot spring pools were thoroughly scrubbed and disinfected after each use, even the cracks in the wooden boardwalk were spotless. Encountering such a guesthouse with both stunning scenery and exceptional service in this border town is truly a healing journey.
