GGuest UserThis hot spring hotel, nestled halfway up the mountainside in Tengchong, boasts an unparalleled location with sweeping city views. From the misty, ink-wash painting-like scenery greeting you through the floor-to-ceiling windows each morning, to the vibrant orange and blue oil painting at sunset, the beauty is truly captivating and perfect for photos. The owners are incredibly warm and attentive. From pre-arrival communication and reception to meticulously looking after every detail during our stay, their dedication shines through. You can truly feel their passion for life. The room's layout is well-designed, but the private hot spring pool deserves the highest praise. It was diligently cleaned every day, with even the tile grout spotless. Each evening, the hot spring water was crystal clear with a faint, pleasant scent of bezoar. They even thoughtfully brought drinks and fruit to our room as soon as the water started filling. Our child enjoyed yogurt every night for three days, and impressively, no two flavors were the same – such a heartwarming touch. Breakfast was also incredibly satisfying, offering a variety of local dishes like Ersi and rice noodles, alongside side dishes, fruits, and pastries, with hardly any repetition. Our child's recurring phrase each day was, 'Next time, we're staying at this hotel again.' Overall, the experience was absolutely perfect. Thank you to the owners for their attentive and thoughtful care.

GGuest UserThe homestay was clean and comfortable, exactly as expected and consistent with the photos shown. The owner recommended local restaurants that are popular with residents, and the food was excellent. A special thumbs-up to the owner for helping us book a hot spring package at a discounted price—it was great value for money. We also received a small farewell gift when we checked out, which was a nice touch. However, the only negative experience—and the biggest drawback—was the unstable hot water in the shower. In winter, the hot water suddenly turned cold halfway through a shower. Although the owner responded promptly and helped adjust the water pressure, the temperature later became unstable again, suddenly turning extremely hot and almost scalding. We hope this can be improved in the future to make the stay even more comfortable.

YYoo agWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The owner and his wife are extremely kind and welcoming. They brought us to many beautiful places and spent time showing us around and even playing with us, which made our trip very special. The hotel offers great value with a high standard. Everything is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. One of the most special things about this place is the onsen (hot spring). The water comes from a real natural hot spring, which makes the experience very authentic and relaxing. We truly appreciate the warm hospitality from the owner and his wife. They even promised to come visit us in the future, which shows how genuine and friendly they are. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality stay with wonderful hosts and a real hot spring experience.

SSWEE KIM ONGWe are very happy to book and stay at Yunman Shanting homestay. This will be our first choice if we want to stay at Heshun Ancient Town. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast consists mainly Chinese food like noddles soup, mantou etc. The homestay provides grilled tea, fruits and walnuts for guests in the night. It was a good experience as various guests gathered around the charcoal grill for chit chat while the staff grilled the tea and fruits. Complimentary tea and coffee was provided in the nicely decorated tea and coffee room. There is a rooftop garden and terrace where guests can view the sunset and take nice photos. The location is good and convenient as cars can drive to the doorstep and park at the homestay.

GGuest UserThe pick up service was-very good. The driver Xiao Mao was very friendly to give me a lot of information about the city on the way to the hotel. All the staffs at the front desk were very helpful too.I liked very much the breakfast but it was a-pity that the hotel did not serve dinner.lt caused me problem to search restaurant for food especially during raining nights. As the road in front the hotel was under construction, it made me to walk in the muddy path. I loved and appreciated the good services provided by the hotel, and the sweet fungi soup served at about 8:30pm every night was really enjoyable. As l am 80 years old now, l may not have chance to visit again but l will surely recommend the hotel to my friends if they come to Tengchong next time.

GGuest UserTengchong had always been a place I longed to visit, a place steeped in poetry and distant dreams, but the long and arduous journey had prevented me from ever making the trip. Until one day, a friend recommended the exclusive private butler service at the Three Senses Hot Spring Resort in Tengchong, and I finally set foot on this magical land. As the majestic Gaoligong Mountains and the winding Nujiang River appeared beneath the plane's wings, Tengchong, a small town nestled in a basin, unfolded before me. The Three Senses butler was already waiting at the airport, and we arrived at the hotel in less than ten minutes. We booked a two-bedroom, two-bathroom room with a living room. Inside, the room featured a Chinese-style screen, a Western-style fireplace, French-style ceilings, and American-style bedding—every detail exuded high-end luxury. The spacious and elegant living room was an ideal place for the family to enjoy tea and conversation; the two adjacent yet independent bedrooms provided each person with necessary privacy. After a day of sightseeing, you could soak in a rose petal bath or enjoy the sulfur hot spring water sourced from Rehai (Hot Sea) in your room, then drift off to sleep amidst the fragrant scent of pine trees wafting from the mountains behind the hotel! The breakfast options were plentiful, including wild mushroom rice noodles, Tengchong's specialty instant bean noodles, free-range eggs, volcanic mud sweet potatoes, freshly ground non-GMO soy milk, and a rich, steamed mixed mushroom soup. After breakfast, enjoy a cup of aromatic coffee from China's first coffee village to energize your day. The hotel's location is excellent, conveniently close to nearby attractions. Combined with Three Senses' dedicated butler service, our outings and sightseeing were incredibly easy and enjoyable. After dinner, we lit a bonfire in the backyard by the mountain, brewed a cup of the famous Lei Xiang tea, and chatted idly while listening to the rustling pines – pure bliss! The hotel's spa service is also highly recommended. The therapists are skilled, the environment is uniquely tranquil, and the sulfur spring has amazing effects, allowing for ultimate relaxation and enjoyment! Unfortunately, time was limited, and we couldn't experience Three Senses' unique travel photography, in-depth coffee village experience, or Gaoligong Mountain hiking. I love the song ”Colorful Yunnan”. Unfortunately, the song doesn't mention Tengchong. So, I can't help but add a verse: South of the colorful clouds, the westernmost place. Heroic Tengchong, its praises sung far and wide. Volcanic hot springs, vibrant and energetic. Ancient ginkgo villages, golden leaves in bloom. Boating on the West Sea, the setting sun over the East Mountain. Harmony and tranquility, peace and serenity. Come to Tengchong! Stay at San Shan. Here, let's gently brew time and slowly brew tea, practicing with San Shan: kind words, kind deeds, kind heart!

CChyllaxThe hotel contacted us prior to our trip, but since our Putonghua was bad, they gave us a Wechat account of their contact person, Miss Na, who settled our airport pick up prior to arrival. She also gave us excellent advice on what to see, where to eat, contacted drivers to the Volcano and Wetland area, arranged transport to Mangshi, and booked tickets to Dream Tengchong (excellent seats too!). She was constantly in touch via Wechat to make sure we were doing OK. The hotel has a rooftop hot spring, breakfast had many choices and the room was large and spacious. Located at back of the hotel is a little farm, so your wake up call may be a rooster or a cow. Hotel is value for money but the value is the staff!

JJIAJIAStayed in the ancient town for four nights. The location of the homestay is very convenient next to the large parking lot in the ancient town. The bathroom has a drying hot air and floor heating. It is comfortable to use a dyson hair dryer, with a large bathtub, and dry and wet separation. The overall service of the homestay is particularly good. There is also a housekeeper to pick up the parking lot in the middle of the night. In the morning, there is an aunt who prepares to pack corn sweet potatoes and egg snacks for us in advance. The aunts are very friendly and dry our clothes and put them back in the room. The boss brother and Miss Sister are also very intimate to recommend a variety of food and hot springs (Lotus Hot Spring). The overall stay is very worry-free, five points praise 💗

TtiAmottThe room was quite spacious, but the bathroom facilities were a bit outdated. It's located on the edge of the ancient town, a bit far from the main area, so it's not recommended for elderly people with mobility issues. It's fine for young people, and you can even take a walk around Wild Duck Lake. The hot springs were okay, but perhaps because we went during the off-season, there were only two pools available, so the experience wasn't great when it was crowded. I highly recommend the nearby ”Mama's Taste” restaurant – it's incredibly delicious!

GGuest UserThis hotel is nestled within a hot spring village, offering a beautiful environment that truly makes you feel close to nature. Tengchong isn't a very large area, so travel time from the hotel to various scenic spots won't exceed 30 minutes. The private hot spring is set in a charming little courtyard, creating a wonderful ambiance. The afternoon tea included in our room package required a reservation in advance, as they prepare a limited number of sets daily. If our schedule was tight and we missed the afternoon tea time, they were happy to deliver it to our room, which was a very thoughtful touch. Overall, the service maintained the Banyan Tree standard. My only surprise was the lack of Christmas atmosphere in Tengchong; even a major international brand like Banyan Tree had no Christmas decorations or elements during the holiday season.
