Star Dream Island (formerly known as Koh Man Klang. In Thai: เกาะมันกลาง. In English: Koh Man Klang) is a small island located off the coast of Krang District, Klaeng, Rayong Province, Thailand. This island is the middle one among the Man Islands (composed of three small islands: Koh Man Klang, Koh Man Nai, and Koh Man Nok). The island has an area of about 78 rai and is only a five-minute boat ride from the location of the Man Nai Sea Turtle Conservation Center initiated by Queen Sirikit. The conservation center has a sea turtle museum where friendly staff provide knowledge to tourists. There is also a pond for raising baby sea turtles and a variety of adult sea turtles, including hawksbill turtles and green turtles.
Star Dream Island is located in Kram Subdistrict. It has clean white sandy beaches with sand as white and fine as that on Koh Samet. The highlight of this island is that it is a private island. Tourists can get close to nature on the island and engage in various activities such as swimming, snorkeling, banana boating, jet skiing, and sea fishing. There is also a spot for walking around the island that looks like a small open sea. There is a sandbar connecting the island to a group of rocks in the sea. At low tide, you will see the sandbar appear.
Star Dream Island is a place to enjoy the natural atmosphere. It is suitable for those who like to travel quietly by sea. Tourists can fully enjoy the coconut trees, clear water, white sand, watch the sun rise, climb the observation deck to watch the sunset. Along with the ebb and flow of the tide, you can watch the colorful corals and giant clams. At low tide, you can take beachcombing tools and join the beachcombing team to harvest the rich gifts of nature.
"It takes no more than 15 minutes by speedboat from the mainland to reach this private island. The accommodation is generally better than the average for small island resorts like this. The beds and towels were clean, unlike many places where they're old and yellowed. I stayed one night in a dome house and one night in a bungalow. The dome house was unique and newer, which was nice, but it got incredibly hot and unbearable when there was no electricity. The bungalow, however, had a cool sea breeze blowing through it constantly. The beach on the west side had some trash, so I'd recommend swimming on the east side. The lady who manages the island is super kind and friendly. Overall, I was impressed. It's perfect for a truly relaxing getaway."
