We had an amazing stay at S Villa Ha Long! The villa is beautifully designed with a modern and cozy vibe, perfectly located just a short walk from the beach. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The area is peaceful and ideal for relaxing, yet still close to cafes and restaurants. The host was incredibly kind and responsive — we truly felt taken care of. Highly recommended and we’d love to come back!

 This apartment was excellent & exceeded our expectations.  Kevin is a great host and can assist with Taxi transfers restaurant recommendations and I highly recommend booking the dolphin cruise with him if you want a six star cruise experience in how long they on probably the best boat in the harbour.  The room is very spacious and has a million dollar view of halong bay - you can even rent a motorbike and explore the coastal roads which are beautiful and it makes it much easier when you don’t have to take the bike back to the shop but just leave it in the car park downstairs.  we highly recommend this apartment and the services Kevin brings and we hope to return in the future with our families. We stayed at Oakwood Ha Long for two nights as a family of eight and had a very pleasant overall experience. The villa felt luxurious and spacious, making it ideal for a larger family group. The property itself is well maintained and the facilities were impressive — we especially enjoyed the gym, the breakfast spread, and the efficient luggage handling which made check-in and check-out smooth. One area that fell short was the water provision. Each villa (with four rooms) receives only two bottles of water per room per day, and any additional bottles are chargeable. Given the hotel’s five-star positioning and price range, this felt unnecessarily restrictive and not quite in line with expectations for this level of hospitality. Overall, it’s a comfortable and upscale stay with great facilities, but small touches like more generous complimentary water would significantly improve the guest experience.

The room was genuinely spacious, over 40 square meters. I stayed in a city-view room on the 30th floor, offering an expansive view. It's close to the beach, and the surrounding area is quiet. The elevator requires a key card to access your floor directly, which takes a bit of getting used to. There was an induction cooktop and a washing machine in the room, but we were told they couldn't be used. A particular issue was the hot water, which wasn't continuous; if you showered for too long, it would run out, which I found perplexing. The cleanliness and service were otherwise acceptable.

Grand Fleuve Boutique is truly a breath of fresh air. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a sense of calm and sophistication that sets it apart from other shops. The staff are knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Whether you're browsing or on a mission to find something special, they make the experience effortless and enjoyable. I was especially impressed with the attention to detail and the boutique’s commitment to quality—every piece feels unique and carefully chosen. If you're looking for a place that offers style, authenticity, and a touch of luxury, Grand Fleuve Boutique is it. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends. A true local treasure!

Unfortunately, we couldn't check in earlier; the room wasn't ready until shortly after 2 p.m. A very nice apartment, large and clean, with everything you need. The beach is unfortunately still empty and unserviced, but it's a great location if you want to start a cruise from here. The view of the sea and the city is just as beautiful as the rooftop bar that's part of the building.

The booking does not include transfer which you need to pay separately. The food served on board is delicious and all are served by course except for lunch on day 2. Drinks (exclude water from water cooler) need to be purchased but the price is reasonable. The tour is fun and the guide/manager share a lot. The staff is very friendly too. They also arranged for surprise e.g. upgrade our room to suite and decoration as it is honeymoon trip. Definitely recommended. As for the transfer, the ride is comfortable but, the driver has attitude problem. If you did not give tip on your journey to halong bay, he will switch off free WiFi n charging port on our return trip.

I heard that Halong Bay is very crowded, so I took a cruise ship to Lan Ha Bay, which is far away. We took a speedboat to the ship parked offshore. It was a very good tour that efficiently went around the tourist spots. Since I used a suite room, I didn't participate in all the activities and just relaxed on my private balcony. Suite room passengers were able to have afternoon tea in their rooms. In the restaurant, they prepared a quiet table for us, separate from the regular room passengers, so we were able to relax. The food was also delicious. Above all, the staff were all very kind, and they gave thorough explanations about safety, so they are a reliable team. It was a very good trip, thank you very much. I would definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful time on the Ambassador Cruise in Ha Long Bay. The limestone cliffs were spectacular, especially the views from the deck at sunrise and sunset, which were unforgettable. The entire itinerary was well-organized, from check-in to all activities went smoothly. The rooms were clean and comfortable with great views. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything went very well, making the experience even more perfect.

Great hotel, central location, staff are very friendly and helpful, excellent customer service. Gym equipment needs updating, treadmills not working, cable machine broke, and you have to pay extra for the steam room & sauna, not much, but it is in the spa and part of a package.
