Spa Hotels in Hue

The hotel is not in the city centre, but that's why we choose it ..... for the tranquility and the quite environment. The establishment is impeccable, we pay around HK$8xx, and have to admit this is very good value (even considering not much facilities). The restaurant team are awesome, very attentive, eagar to assist in a warm and welcoming manner. We went for breadfast daily, and from the second day, they remember our breakfast drink! The spa, much room for improvement...... considering the price, really would not expect ”smelly” bath robe (the price is around 2 to 3 times the price one pay at a spa parlour locally). During my stay, the hotel is under a planned renovation construction (we were told) - work is going on even over the weekends, that was very unfortunate. Especially we are looking for a quite hotel! I really think they should state at the booking portal and let people know! The most disappointing part is, the reception team were recommending car service to us (for our return trip to Danang). The original price quote was US$92. We booked. On the departure day, we were asked to pay, the bill was shown in VND (local currency) and I noticed there are service charge and tax applied. So I ask if the US$92 included the service charge and tax. The reception gentleman was slight agitated and say something like ”every body knows service charge and tax are applied to bills in Vietnam”. We were then checking the bill and tried to figure out if the US$92 were inclusive of the service charge and tax. While we were doing that, the reception gentleman told us, yes, the US$92 were already including the the service charge and tax. We were a bit itimidated then, and not wanting to further ruin our holiday mood, so we paid and leave. The car trip was very pleasant and the driver was very polite and attentive. When we are home, we check the bill again, and find out, we paid around US$112 for the trip. (ie, the originally quote price US$92 is not inclusive of service and tax. More so, the reception gentleman that explained the price to us, was either uncompetent or dishonest!

Was very happy with this hotel it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I booked they got in touch to offer any assistance and communication was always quick and helpful .    On arrival , check in was smooth and quick , our bags were taken straight up to our room and then we were escorted by one of the receptionists to show us the room and how things worked .     All the staff were very friendly and helpful particularly the lovely ladies on reception who gave us a map and explained options to tour the sights , no hard sell just honest and helpful . They always said hello and greeted us nicely whenever we returned . They would jump up and press the lift button when they saw us approaching the front door so we didn’t have to wait for the lift .     Breakfast was good , again very helpful and polite staff they were quick and efficient. Housekeeping was also vey good and they kept the whole place clean and tidy .    Would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again.     Thank you for a wonderful stay !

The exact what we needed on our trip. It was so relaxing. The spa was amazing and the treatments and staff were 10/10. The the breakfast was amazing, both continental and Asian. the bar meals and evening meals very tasty too. A small menu though. Staff were 10/10 and very attentive. Could not do enough. The pool looked great, shame the sun didn’t shine until the day we left. The bikes were fun and the golf carts were a great idea for modes of transport. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with warm smiles. The environment and rooms are both outstanding, and staying at the hotel never feels boring. It’s a place where you can truly enjoy complete rest and relaxation. I absolutely love the overall atmosphere of the resort — it’s a destination well worth returning to again and again for a holiday.

Compound located about a ten-minute Grab ride from downtown. A collection of small three-story buildings (no elevator) and villas/rooms scattered through a jungle-like maze of greenery. Visible red brick, tiled roofs. We stayed in a villa/room located at the top of about fifteen steps (thanks to the staff who handle luggage on arrival and departure). The building contained the room and bathroom (single sink, bathtub). Nicely decorated, with slate, statues, and vases in a Cham-inspired style. Unfortunately the wifi router looks like it was added without the decorator's knowledge... A unique touch: the shower is outdoors, in nature (supposedly no one can see in — see photo). We were basically in the middle of the jungle, so don't expect a complete absence of insects and critters (geckos, ants, mosquitoes...), but for mosquitoes the villa had at least four lines of defense (mesh screens on the doors, mosquito coils lit by staff in the evening, a UV/suction trap device, and a bed net). The first three were enough, and we never needed to use the bed net (which has its own charm — a four-poster-style bed). Well-stocked breakfast buffet with Vietnamese specialties. Only downside: eggs Benedict served without sauce or bread... Yoga at 7:45am daily, but unfortunately we couldn't make it (feeling a bit under the weather). The room is inspiring (see photo), located in the compound's spa area. Tested 😀the 1-hour full body massage. Very good and relaxing. Slept here. Done in separate little houses. Choice of oil: cajuput, ylang-ylang, lavender, lemongrass, eucalyptus. The spa’s signature oil is cajuput, locally hand-made from tea-tree-family leaves that cools the body. But the smell is too strong for me. Interesting concept with three pools -- one for kids with a slide, a main one with a bar/snacks, and a third ”quiet” pool, technically reserved for guests over 12 (or at least an area where you're not supposed to talk). This last pool is also reserved for villa guests. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Managers were quick and efficient at resolving issues. Communication via WhatsApp for any problems or arranging cars/excursions. WeChat unfortunately not available.

Good value for money. The location is convenient enough that you are not far away from attractions, restaurants and cafes. There are water dispensers on each floor that you can easily fill up your water bottles during the day. Staff are so friendly and kind, they always great you with smiles. The only thing we found a bit unpleasant is they seem to offer swimming trainings to non-hotel guests during the day every day? Whether we were there early in the morning or late at night, there were kids having swimming trainings with a coach.

A haven for my soul !!! I accidentally discovered Va Riverside Retreat, and it turned out to be a hidden haven along the peaceful Huong River. The scenery here is simply serene—watching the golden sunset reflected on the water and waking up to the sound of birds at dawn felt like stepping into another world. Besides relaxing in the refreshing pool, I also had the chance to try paddle boarding on the river. One of the most unique moments was listening to the mystical melodies of the Hầu Đồng ceremonies drifting across from Hon Chen Temple—a truly authentic touch of Vietnamese culture. The local breakfast was delicious, simple yet full of flavor, and made the mornings even more memorable. What stood out the most was the staff—they welcomed me like family, making me feel at home even though I was far away from mine. If you’re looking for more than just a stay, but an experience that touches both your senses and soul, I highly recommend coming here. Discover it as I did, and perhaps you’ll enjoy it even more than I did.

This is so far the best ever resort I've had the pleasure to stay at. From exclusive and delicious food, to a delightful Spa, this resort has everything you need or want. The restaurants: Moomba, Rice Bowl, Rice Bar and Saffron, offer a wonderful selection of dishes suitable for lovers of meat and fish, and also suitable for vegans as well. The pool is incredible and has a nice little bar. The staff members are beyond friendly and caring. They remember your names, they always ask about your stay and they pay close attention to all of your needs. Especially, I'd love to mention Hien, who was very kind and caring, Linh, a wonderful lady, making sure we had no issues during the stay, and Trinh, who was a joy to talk to when we visited the golf facility. Overall, it was our second time there and we'd definitely go back!

The location is truly excellent. It's situated right on the Huong River, with the palace (ruins) and the city center just across the water. There's also a well-maintained jogging path, and the night views are beautiful. The hotel itself is a historic building, and I think anyone with a fondness for a touch of nostalgia would love it. The breakfast is also superb. In particular, you can enjoy cuisine from the ancient city of Hue, and it retains a charming feel from the French colonial era.

The hotel is in a convenient location, about a 20 minutes walk to the old city. Plenty of eateries and shops around. It's also just a 25 minutes drive to the train station (we took the scenic train to Danang). The room was ok and mostly clean, but the bed was very hard and the pillows felt like a sac of potato. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel seems to caters mainly to Chinese tour groups. They are very noisy and unruly. The breakfast area felt like a market, the bread and pastries were stale and un-edible, the bacon was hard and dry. Maybe the Asian fare was good, the continental/western fare was terrible. Would not recommend!
