"I had a lovely stay and at the Travelodge, it was affordable and the perfect place for a base to explore the Lake District. The hotel is 15 minutes walk from the town centre but didn’t feel it was too far at my way.
I’ll definitely come back if I’m coming to the Lakes again 😊"

Love the location, the views from the hotel & dining room. The restaurant was good, young inexperienced staff that very very nice but a little clumsy.
Checkin receptionist was very curt, but check out person the following day was lovely.
All in all, loved staying here again.

The room was freezing! The heating only came on for a couple of hours. The room was ok comfy bedding, not worth £175 though. The shower made a squealing noise and the bath tap dripped all night. Breakfast alright (beans were cold). The staff at the bar and restaurant were commendable.

Outstanding, I had a superb stay ,the George is unique
Whilst, having a timeless aspect ,magnificent historic building it has modern features, and aspects,that make it very comfortable.
The best hotel experience, I have had for year's, I am looking forward to staying again, a perfect end to my
Christmas break.
