Beautiful hotel that still preserves its historical architecture with modern luxuries. We enjoyed the heated floor (it's so comfortable to walk around) and the oxygen machine (a lifesaver when we just reached Lhasa!). Special thanks to Guest Service staff - ę¬”å” for coordinating breakfast and housekeeping with us throughout our stay, and for helping to safekeep our forgotten item when we checked out! Her warm hospitality helped us ease into the high altitude environment more easily! Oh and don't forget to try the Indian restaurant within the hotel - it's extremely delicious and the price is affordable! We hope to return soon!

1. This is by far the best value, most comfortable, and tastiest hotel in Lhasa. I first stayed here during the Keriya Pass trip and was so impressed that I've returned every time since, and have even recommended it to friends.
2. The service is consistently excellent, the rooms are spacious, and they provide oxygen, humidifiers, and ample heating. The parking lot is also large.
3. The breakfast is incredibly diverse and genuinely delicious ā it's got that authentic wok-hei flavor! It's far superior to many five-star hotels that offer variety but lack taste. They even provide convenient individual bread portions for takeaway.
4. I didn't have time to eat fruit at breakfast, so a lovely front desk attendant kindly packed a small box for me. So thoughtful! The fruit was sweet and fresh, and the quality was excellent.
5. Because of this Lhasa hotel, I now only consider staying at Pingcuo Kangsang hotels whenever I'm in Tibet. I truly recommend it!

AilvxingdexiaxiaojieWhen I first arrived in Lhasa, I stayed at Jicai, primarily because of its cleanliness and its proximity to the Potala Palace and Barkhor Street. My experience after checking in was excellent. After my trip to Nyingchi and MĆŖdog, I booked Jicai again. If you experience altitude sickness, the lobby provides an oxygen concentrator, and the rooms even have diffused oxygen supply.
I had wanted to try breakfast in Lhasa, so on my last day, I bought the hotel's breakfast and discovered their noodles (fen) are really good. I regretted not booking a room with breakfast included. If you're still debating whether to book breakfast, my advice is to go for it if you like sour and spicy noodles, because their breakfast noodles are delicious. Delicious, delicious!
Front desk service was good, and honestly, Jicai offers great value for money. Highly recommended.

Guest UserI checked into the hotel on March 28th. I had severe altitude sickness. I saw a reminder on the Ctrip backend that the hotel would start supplying oxygen at 8pm, so I had to buy a few oxygen cylinders myself. There was a problem with the humidifier in the room. The room attendant came in without saying hello, just filled the humidifier with water and left. There was no minimum courtesy or kind reminder to customers about the instructions. There was no training or assessment on weekdays. At 8 o'clock, there was still no oxygen, and my oxygen cylinder had been used up. I called the front desk and she told me that the oxygen supply would start at 8:30. At 8:30, I called her again and she said the technician had gone to open it. At 8:33, she called again and asked me to wait. I arrived directly at 8:37. I questioned the front desk, but they still didn't feel uneasy. I went to the VIP building of Tibet Hotel as a person with altitude sickness. Many other hotels provide oxygen all day long, but they didn't provide oxygen from 8:30 pm to 7 am the next day, which is very unfriendly. I didn't expect that they didn't provide it during the time period and there was no apology. I had a severe headache from altitude sickness and found the front desk to question them. High-quality service should open oxygen for customers in advance and care about their physical condition. This front desk was arrogant and had no sympathy for the customers. Altitude sickness is very dangerous. I accepted such a cold and ruthless service experience of the VIP building of Tibet Hotel when I was extremely uncomfortable. I will never come again! !

Guest UserThe hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel.
The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage.
The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app.
There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.
