Lobumtsang · Sanctuary
Nestled in Xingfu Community, Chengguan District, Lhasa, Lobumtsang offers expansive views of the nearby Potala Palace. The name "Lobumtsang" originates from the owner’s Mi-nyag family heritage, meaning "Home Sheltered by the Divine Dragon." Legend has it that two centuries ago, this land was regarded as a dwelling of sacred dragons, where previous settlers met with misfortune. Yet, the owner’s grandfather settled here with his family, living in peace and prosperity—a tale cherished by locals ever since.
Our boutique homestay blends authentic Xizang's style with Nepalese influences, equipped with high-quality amenities and heartfelt service. Each room is designed for comfort in all seasons, featuring a television, refrigerator, in-room safe, oxygen concentrator, humidifier, and premium brand bathroom essentials. Every piece of furniture is hand-painted by local artists with traditional Xizang's motifs, each carrying profound meanings and showcasing distinctive Xizang's artistry.
Our team includes Xizang, Han, and Nepalese members, offering a diverse menu of Xizang, Chinese, Nepalese, and Western cuisine. The viewing restaurant not only overlooks the Potala Palace but also serves as a window into local daily life.
At Lobumtsang, we welcome you with the warmth of home and the sincerity of Xizang, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay in Lhasa.
