HhohotimVery satisfied with everything, the best is the customer service, always answer all questions. Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen. There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning. Everything was cured by the warm customer service.

RRongchengtudouThis quaint Tibetan-style hotel is located just inside Barkhor Street. It is very convenient to the Jokhang Temple and the Potala Palace. There are also many delicious shops nearby. The proprietress is very welcoming. I originally booked another hotel, but because it couldn't accommodate people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, I changed to this Babao Hotel, and I was very satisfied with the result.

AAnonymous UserLooking at the decor, you can tell it must have been beautiful when it was first built, with distinct ******* characteristics. It basically has all the facilities and services a five-star hotel should offer. However, the problem is that after so many years, the facilities are just too old. The cabinet doors don't close properly, the seating cushions are heavily worn, the old-fashioned toilet is very difficult to use, and the glass is foggy – I'm not sure if it's dirty or just aged. I chose a room with a Potala Palace view, but the cloudy glass really spoiled the experience. There were even leftover toenails from previous guests on the carpet, which was quite disgusting. I also have to mention the mini-bar. There were only 6 cans of Coke and Sprite, with no price tags. I assumed they were complimentary, but when I asked, they were 18 yuan each. Seriously, I've stayed in many five-star hotels. If a mini-bar is going to charge, please at least stock it with sparkling water, orange juice, and beer (if not wine or sparkling wine) to look more professional. If you only have these few bottles, either be generous and offer them for free, or just remove them. The current approach feels a bit cheap. Overall, this hotel definitely needs a renovation.

GGuest UserAfter searching for a long time online, I chose the Verona International Hotel. What attracted us at first was the location, which is really good. It is only more than 100 meters away from the Potala Palace. You can shoot the scenery of the Potala Palace at 180℃, which is particularly beautiful. I would like to thank Sister Wu of Sky Mirror for patiently helping us take pictures. Her skills are comparable to those of first-class photographers. I am very moved. The breakfast is also very rich. The service awareness of the entire hotel service staff is very strong, enthusiastic, and full of intimacy, just like going home. This is the first time I have felt such warm service. Moreover, for a hotel of this price and standard, this price is super cost-effective. I strongly recommend it to everyone. The night tour guide has a wide range of knowledge and good service. He took pictures of us all while lying down. I give him 100 points. The sour soup yak beef hot pot on the first floor of the hotel is also a feature. The 200 yuan set meal is super value and very good. Everyone must come to check in when they arrive in Lhasa. Facilities: good Hygiene: good Environment: good Service: good

LLvlingfan007The room was spotless, and the view of the Potala Palace from here was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel is perfectly situated right behind and to the right of the Potala Palace, making my windowsill my 'personal viewing platform': At midday, wisps of clouds drifted across its white walls and golden roofs, as if a breathing quilt was draped over the ancient palace; In the evening, the setting sun painted the Red Palace a honeyed hue, and as prayer flags fluttered in the wind, they seemed like countless hands applauding it; The moment the night lights came on, the entire palace suddenly 'came alive' – like an ancient ship moored in the darkness, carrying the stories of the Tubo Dynasty, slowly sailing towards the myriad lights of modern Lhasa. The complimentary biscuits were delicious, and the other snacks were great too! The butler and front desk service were warm and attentive. I arrived close to 2 PM, having not yet eaten, and the small eatery they recommended – the third shop after turning right from the hotel – was absolutely delightful.

GGuest UserI extended my stay in Lhasa for two more days. The first night I had a double room, which I loved from the moment I entered. The service and room cleanliness were simply fantastic, and the value for money was excellent. For a tourist city like Lhasa, this is quite impressive. It's also relatively close to the Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. The second night, I wanted to extend my stay but there were no rooms available. The receptionist kindly helped me get a standard room, which was also very kind of her! The herbal tea in the lobby was also delicious!

__WeChat33316****Our room was upgraded to a family room, room 327. To be honest, the hotel is located quite deep in an alley, about a 500-meter walk from the main road... All the room windows are single-paned and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years... The towels and bath towels were all dated 2023 and weren't very soft anymore. We booked through Ctrip, which helped with the room upgrade and included complimentary breakfast. Don't expect too much from this hotel; it's quite different from a Holiday Inn Express on the mainland. The breakfast was just passable, nothing to write home about. After all those downsides, let's talk about the positives: it's incredibly cheap. Booked on Ctrip during the off-peak season (August 31st - September 3rd), and with a Lhasa culture and tourism subsidy voucher, it came down to about 160 RMB per night. Secondly, you need a key card to access the floors, which makes it quiet and secure. If you're traveling independently and plan to be out sightseeing daily, the location is a bit far. It's about 2.5 km to Potala Palace (15 RMB by taxi) and roughly 3.5 km to Jokhang Temple. Lhasa's cost of living is much higher than Chengdu's. You'll notice it significantly in taxi fares and dining expenses. This was my first visit, and I didn't experience altitude sickness. I found it truly beautiful. Here are a few recommendations: 🚩FYI: I didn't take Rhodiola before entering Tibet and didn't experience altitude sickness upon landing. The hotel I stayed at upon arrival didn't provide oxygen, and I didn't even buy an oxygen tank, yet I adapted just fine. So, flying into Tibet is the most relaxed way. Traveling by train or self-driving is exhausting, and you're just as likely to get altitude sickness anyway. 🔹Attractions: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Ramoche Temple, Sera Monastery, Tibet Museum, Princess Wencheng Show, Chakpori Hill viewpoint, Barkhor Street... I recommend exploring at your own pace, taking it easy... stopping frequently and avoiding strenuous exercise. 🔸Food: Sichuan cuisine dominates. Aside from those speaking *******, everyone else speaks Sichuan dialect. Goods are not easy to transport in, so prices are comparable to first-tier cities. The air is dry and UV radiation is incredibly strong... I didn't get a tan all summer, but two days here turned me completely dark! [laughing emoji] If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! 🙋‍♀️🙋

GGuest UserI have stayed in this hotel many times. It has been open for several years, but the decoration still looks quite new. It should have been renovated before the New Year. There are many places to eat around. You can also go out for a walk in the evening to see the Lhasa River view and Nanshan Park. It is also very close to the Potala Palace. It takes about 20 minutes to walk there, and it should be less than 5 minutes to drive there. There are also small gifts after checking in. I feel that this is a hotel worth recommending 🤩

GGuest UserThe room is very simple and ethnic, and there is an oxygen concentrator, which is quite cozy for people on a temporary business trip. However, there will be a Dangxiong train passing by at night, and it will blow the whistle, which will be a surprise for the first time. Dangxiong is a little high in altitude, and the clerk was very considerate to help carry the luggage, otherwise it would be quite difficult for us to climb the stairs.
