Hotel near Barkhor Street/Jokhang Temple,Lhasa
The Shambhala Palace (Xiangbala Gong) is a hotel convenient to the Jokhang Temple, the most important and sacred temple in Tibetan Buddhism. At this Lhasa hotel's top roof restaurant, guests can enjoy the view of the Potala Palace from the distance. Those loving to socialize can head to the on-site bar.

"Service: The service attitude is good. They helped me to pull my luggage up and down because there is no elevator. Environment: Typical ******* residence, very distinctive, inevitably has some disadvantages of ******* residence, but Qijiaji still tried its best to make some improvements. Sanitation: Good sanitation. It is worth booking such a room for 225 in peak season. Facilities: The hot water temperature is always below 40 degrees, which is a flaw. Others are OK, and the ventilation is very bad, and the windows are difficult to open."

AAilvxingdexiaxiaojieWhen I first arrived in Lhasa, I stayed at Jicai, primarily because of its cleanliness and its proximity to the Potala Palace and Barkhor Street. My experience after checking in was excellent. After my trip to Nyingchi and Mêdog, I booked Jicai again. If you experience altitude sickness, the lobby provides an oxygen concentrator, and the rooms even have diffused oxygen supply. I had wanted to try breakfast in Lhasa, so on my last day, I bought the hotel's breakfast and discovered their noodles (fen) are really good. I regretted not booking a room with breakfast included. If you're still debating whether to book breakfast, my advice is to go for it if you like sour and spicy noodles, because their breakfast noodles are delicious. Delicious, delicious! Front desk service was good, and honestly, Jicai offers great value for money. Highly recommended.

HhohotimVery satisfied with everything, the best is the customer service, always answer all questions. Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen. There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning. Everything was cured by the warm customer service.

JJiangxiangxueThe floor-to-ceiling windows offer a great view. This hotel was my first choice for my business trip to Lhasa. The location is excellent, and transportation is convenient. The hotel has disinfection services, and the smart robot delivers items. The front desk staff was very polite and friendly, and the service was exceptional. The room facilities were excellent, the bed was comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable, which put me at ease. The housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning and greeted me warmly, making me feel the warmth of a Hampton Inn. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious steamed buns and delicious ******* noodles, and fruit. There's also a self-service laundry room with a dryer. Highly recommended, absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend the breakfast.

GGuest UserWhen I came to Tibet, I stayed in a Tibetan-style hotel. The decoration of the hotel was very Tibetan-style. The room and the bathroom inside were very clean and tidy. You can see the day and night view of the Potala Palace and the sunrise from the rooftop on the fifth floor. The breakfast on the fifth floor was very nice. , the food is simple but delicious. The reception staff are very polite and speak fluent Mandarin and English. The staff help solve various problems in Tibet, including taking a day tour, taking a taxi, transportation, shopping, luggage storage, moving luggage, etc.

XXiaojingerdegushiMany people, myself included, often debate between the St. Regis and the Shangri-La, as both hotels in Beijing are quite unremarkable. Ultimately, I chose the Shangri-La for its value for money. I had considered Songtsam too, but common sense told me to be a smart spender. Although the hotel shows its age, its architectural style is grand and refined, revealing luxurious material choices. Time has inevitably left its mark, but a classic car, even when old, is still a classic car. Moreover, service and quality require time to accumulate and withstand market scrutiny. While the Shangri-La may not have many existing locations, it still holds a strong market advantage, and it takes an discerning eye to appreciate it. My butler, Bowen, arranged my room before I even arrived. Looking out the window at the Potala Palace's silhouette in the distance immediately set the mood. He then meticulously delivered on all aspects of my package. I found Bowen to be a man of few words but very steady, highly responsive, and an exceptionally smooth driver. He never asked inappropriate or subjective questions, which I truly appreciated. Over three days, Bowen's accompaniment added a unique dimension to my Lhasa itinerary. Among the few Tibetans I've encountered, he was a definite plus. I sincerely wish him all the best in his work! The Shangri-La in Lhasa lives up to its brand's standards and enhances the reputation of its sister properties. I'm so glad I made the right choice; this will be a memorable and wonderful travel experience.

GGuest UserLhasa, known as the 'City of Sunshine,' left an incredibly beautiful memory for my family and me during our stay at the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise. The hotel's exterior is grand and aesthetically pleasing, with an overall stylish ambiance. The bedding in the rooms was soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep every night. What we loved most was the glass design in the lobby; sitting there, you can gaze up at Lhasa's pristine blue skies and white clouds. As the sunlight streams in, it truly broadens your mind. Before our trip, we were torn between The St. Regis Lhasa Resort and Shangri-La. We even visited both properties to compare their services. After careful consideration, we ultimately chose the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise, and looking back, it was absolutely the right decision. My family and I have stayed at many high-end hotels both domestically and internationally, but the service here, in particular, genuinely impressed us. Throughout our stay, the person I want to commend most sincerely is our butler, Dekyi Nancy. She went above and beyond for us, handling numerous tasks, many of which were outside her regular duties. We felt a little bad for bothering her so frequently, but she was always gracious, handling everything big and small with meticulous care and no complaints. Dekyi Nancy not only has outstanding professional abilities but also treats guests with warmth and sincerity, offering professional and detailed service, and handling matters reliably and steadily. Knowing that altitude sickness can be an issue upon arrival, she constantly kept our family's health in mind. She would proactively check in on us daily, offering thoughtful reminders about high-altitude travel, rest, and dietary precautions. No matter what problems we encountered or what needs we had, she responded immediately, patiently helped coordinate solutions, and provided attentive companionship throughout our stay. Compared to other high-end hotels we've experienced, Dekyi Nancy's enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism truly stood out. Her service wasn't just a rigid, procedural interaction; it was genuine care and concern from the heart, making us, as visitors in a foreign land, feel a profound sense of warmth. With excellent facilities, breathtaking views, and such warm and thoughtful service, our entire stay was impeccable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to friends visiting Lhasa and feel fortunate to have met such an exceptional butler as Dekyi Nancy during our trip. Her meticulous care made our high-altitude journey comfortable and unforgettable.

GGuest UserI have stayed in this hotel many times. It has been open for several years, but the decoration still looks quite new. It should have been renovated before the New Year. There are many places to eat around. You can also go out for a walk in the evening to see the Lhasa River view and Nanshan Park. It is also very close to the Potala Palace. It takes about 20 minutes to walk there, and it should be less than 5 minutes to drive there. There are also small gifts after checking in. I feel that this is a hotel worth recommending 🤩

11-yangwangxingkong-1This stay was such a pleasant surprise! The hotel's location is fantastic, not too far from the Potala Palace, and the area is quiet, making it super convenient for getting around and finding food. What really impressed me was the service. The front desk attendant was all smiles throughout, not only processing our check-in quickly but also recommending local specialty restaurants. Every detail showed thoughtfulness. I've already recommended it to my friends, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
