"At first, we were a bit skeptical about the capsules, mainly because of our luggage and the shared bathroom situation. But in the end, the experience totally exceeded our expectations! Even though the capsule itself is small, there's actually more than enough space, even with two 20kg suitcases. And the bed, by the way, was super comfy. The bathrooms and all the facilities in general were very clean. They really thought of everything!"

"Facilities: The facilities are pretty good, with a wet and dry separation in the bathroom, and a kettle, refrigerator, and other amenities readily available in the room. Hygiene: The overall hygiene was good, but there were instances where the shampoo was almost empty and the tissues were nearly out, which staff didn't replace promptly. I had to contact them again, so there's room for improvement here. Environment: The overall environment is good. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the central train station, which is very convenient. Even in a room facing the train tracks, I didn't hear any train noise at all; the soundproofing of the windows is excellent. Service: The staff were all very patient. The only thing that needs improvement is that the customer service contact number in the room is basically unreachable. Any requests required going down to the front desk to speak with staff, which was indeed inconvenient. This area needs improvement. Overall, I still highly recommend it."

"Hotel has a nice, pleasant atmosphere and inside is clean and bright. Location was bit hard to get to nearby places to eat without walking for at least 20-25 minutes. Not much choices for food at their restaurant. The room was nice, bed comfortable, Reception person was very nice and helpful. Solve a worrisome problem of accidental double booking without too much problem and hassle. The hotel Reception and Manager work it well and solved the problem."

"Built in 1867, the hotel sits on the banks of the Amster River, much like the Peace Hotel on the Huangpu River, boasting stunning views! Architecturally, the AESTEL HOTEL (InterContinental) was historically unparalleled in its grandeur. While the interior facilities are a bit dated now, the overall stay experience was still excellent. First, the service was superb! The doormen and bellhops were very gentlemanly and traditional; the front desk staff were warm and professional, able to arrange/book tour tickets, and very considerate in negotiating late check-out; the lobby manager was also very welcoming and professional. Second, the breakfast wasn't extensive, but the taste was decent, and the service was attentive. There was a dedicated tea room with a fantastic view—perfect for sunbathing! Third, the rooms weren't small, with clear functional divisions, and the river views were fantastic. It wasn't noisy, and being right on the riverbank, there was no disturbance from pedestrians. In short, this InterContinental hotel experience was excellent. Next time I visit Aden, if I don't want to spend more money on a W-class hotel, the AESTEL will still be my choice!"

"The hotel was generally clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. However, the room looked more spacious in the photos than it actually was, so there was a slight mismatch between the online images and reality. The room felt a bit small, especially if you’re traveling with luggage. Overall, it was a decent stay thanks to the cleanliness and helpful service, but I think the photos could better reflect the actual room size."

"Hotel is right in the middle of the city center and near the train station. It is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the popular museums. We were initially allocated a ground floor room and it was right next to the street where people were walking and opposite a bar. It was noisy and honestly felt a little uncomfortable as people could see into our room. As such, my wife and I requested for a change of room and the staff were really accommodating in helping us get a room on an upper floor (though it was the next day as the hotel was full on the day of our arrival). They even assisted with storing our loose luggage in their own office which was really nice of them. Room was big and there is a coffee machine in the room. Overall, a really good stay for the price!"

"The location was excellent—right on the canal across from the Opera House, within walking distance of the metro, trams, and plenty of restaurants. The solo room had everything I needed, including a coffee machine with capsules, making it very comfortable for my stay. The only minor downside was that the mattress could use replacing. Other than that, my stay was seamless, and I would happily stay here again."

"The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam's Dam Square, to Chinatown, just a 10-minute walk from the red light district. The hotel is opposite the Queen's department store, the most exclusive department store in Amsterdam with many designer shops, and the shopping street is the second road on the left side of the hotel. On the pedestrian street, about two or thirty minutes is the flower market. On the right side is the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. On the first floor is the famous watch shop. Walk to Haicheng Restaurant for five minutes. The hotel has only 16 rooms in a boutique hotel. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the airport. It can be reached by walk from Amsterdam Central Railway Station for about 15 minutes. It is recommended to take a taxi for large luggage, because the road along the road is uneven and difficult to tow. Between 20-30 euros, because you have to detour. "The hotel room was very clean, and although the facilities were a bit dated, they were all in good working order. The room layout, however, was quite peculiar. There was a glass partition between the bed and the shower, with newspaper plastered on the glass. There was also a structural pillar in the room, exposing raw concrete, which made that area look like an unfinished shell. Overall, it was decent."

"I visited Bunk with two friends on a city break to Amsterdam. We had a lovely experience. We were able make use of lockers while waiting to check in, €5 for 6 hours, which was perfect as we had arrived early in the morning. The location of the hostel is ideal. It is a 5 minute walk from Noorderpark Metro station, which is one stop from the Centraal Station. We were close enough that getting into the city centre was convenient, but far enough out that the noise level was not too much when trying to sleep! The hostel is very close to a supermarket, as well as other shops such as Hema and Etos, and a very lovely bakery. It is a lovely neighbourhood and we never felt unsafe there. We stayed in a 3 person private room, which was cozy, but for what we needed it for, perfect! My only advice would be not to book this room if you are not comfortable and close to those you are staying with! The toilet and shower area has frosted glass, but you can still see a lot from outside the bathroom area, and we often either used the toilet downstairs or asked the others to leave the room while we showered as we felt more comfortable that way. Maybe other people would be more okay with this, but this is what worked for us. The staff are very helpful. We had issues with things getting stuck in the vending machines and they opened them up for us no problem. The sheets on my bed had slight staining, however it was nothing major. Other than this, the room was very clean. I would recommend Bunk, especially the room we had, to a group of friends on a trip to Amsterdam, and looking for a place which is very central but not too noisy and busy.
