What’s the Coldest Temperature in Harbin?

Harbin has a cold continental climate, with winters that are long and bitterly cold—the mercury can plunge to -40°, earning it a reputation as the capital of ice and snow. Although winter (November to April) is extremely cold, events like Ice and Snow World make it the most distinctive season to visit.

We bought a ticket for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. When we arrived, the pandas were asleep. We wanted to leave, but decided to wait a little longer. And to everyone's delight, one panda woke up, swung on the swing, walked around, and sat down to eat some branches. The pandas are kept in good conditions, and the sunny island itself is very picturesque and clean. We were very pleased.

Travel teaches us that the world is far bigger than we imagine. When we stay in one place for too long, we start to think that's all there is to life. But when we go out, we discover that some people grow tea in the mountains, some fish by the sea, and some live lives we can't even imagine. Seeing different ways of living makes us more tolerant and accepting of our own lives—that's the greatest gift travel gives us.

In early spring, seeing peach blossoms is like being immersed in pink. The peach trees on the hillside are in full bloom, their delicate pink blossoms crowding the branches, looking like a pink cloud from afar. When the wind blows, the petals drift down onto the grass, even the soil carries a faint fragrance. Strolling slowly along the path through the peach grove, find a tree in full bloom to sit on, bask in the sun and watch the petals fall, even your mood becomes pink and tender, and the gloom accumulated during winter instantly dissipates.

Traveling is really about experiencing life in a different place. You don't need to deliberately seek out tourist attractions; just stroll through the morning market with the locals, squeeze into the bustling stalls to buy freshly steamed pastries, and wander with them in the park at dusk, watching elderly people leisurely practice Tai Chi. Experience the different pace of life here, slow down your own pace, and realize that life can be lived so leisurely and comfortably. After returning home, you'll have learned to loosen up your life.
