Longyan Hotels with balcony

I would highly recommend Changdi Inn, housed in a family owned tulou in a peaceful spot by the river in the village. a very unique experience! Our host Steven spoke great English and was the most friendly and helpful host. Our dinner was prepared by the mother and we could enjoy that and breakfast in the tulou courtyard. Very special !

This hotel is a beautifully converted tulou, offering a modern and polished take on a traditional structure. While it may lack some of the original lived-in charm you might expect from such heritage buildings, it still provides a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The service was a standout, staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, which really enhanced the overall experience. As for the room design, we were initially impressed by the split-level layout, with the bedroom upstairs and the bathroom and toilet below. However, this became a bit inconvenient, especially for older guests needing to use the bathroom during the night. The shower setup was another slight drawback, as there’s no space to hang clothes or towels inside. This means you have to change outside the shower area, making it difficult for others to use the lower level at the same time. These were minor inconveniences rather than major issues, and they didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment of the stay.

The hotel is facing Guanzhang Mountain and has an excellent location. You can enjoy the panoramic view of Guanzhang Mountain directly from the balcony of the room and the platform on the second floor of the hotel. The duplex suite we booked is perfect for family outings. The first floor is a living room with enough space for tea viewing, and the second floor is two bedrooms with separate bathrooms and toilets, which are large and spacious. Hotel service is very good, patient and kind, check-in and check-out speed are very fast. The trip also had two breakfasts and two dinners in the hotel restaurant. The breakfast had a variety of local specialties, which was quite hearty. The dinner was good and cheap, and the seasonal vegetables were quite delicious.

I hitched a ride from Yunshuiyao Scenic Area and found it much quieter. I originally planned to stay one day, but because of the beautiful scenery, I stayed an extra day 🤭. I went to the Tulou King first, and then to the Tulou Prince Scenic Area. The guesthouse was cozy and clean, and the owners were very welcoming. Superb! I came alone this time, but I will definitely bring my family next time. Since I hadn't finished exploring the scenic area, the owner thoughtfully carried my luggage to the security booth at the exit. Then I explored at my own pace. There are buses to Longyan and Yongding just 50 meters across from the scenic area entrance. The owner even checked the times in advance so I wouldn't miss my bus. Nice, warm, and clean. I hope the owner's business prospers! Here are some bonus tips for independent travelers: 1. Yunshuiyao felt more crowded and had a stronger commercial atmosphere. I first visited Yongding Tulou King, located a bit higher up on the mountainside, because there weren't many other buildings around. So I went to the Prince Tulou Scenic Area, which is a bit lower down and felt quieter; I personally preferred it there. 2. There are individual electric carts for rent and sightseeing buses for purchase within the scenic area, which are convenient for leisurely exploration. 3. There's a morning market stalls within the scenic area; early risers should check it out. I highly recommend the passion fruit stall across the river from Yangji Winery. Auntie's fruit, small ones weighing 3 jin and large ones 5 jin, is super delicious! I hope she becomes popular and her business improves, but I also hope she doesn't raise prices after she becomes famous 🤭 4. The food and grocery stores in the village and scenic area close relatively early. For a night owl like me, it feels like there are hardly any shops open after 10 PM, and I can't buy anything. So everyone should definitely prepare some snacks in advance, just in case haha 5. The scenery here is amazing, and the guesthouse is very clean. Pictures are attached. I hope this helps those who need it. It seems that after September, there will be round-trip buses from Meizhou, Guangdong to Yongding from Yongding Bus Station. It would be more convenient if friends from Guangdong came to visit, hehe 😁 Lastly, I wish the owner great success in business, and I'll come again next time 👋

This stay was really a surprise! From the beginning of the get off the bus, I felt full of intimate, the front desk check-in was fast, the room type was very good, highly recommended. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft like a cloud, and I slept super heavy at night. The breakfast shop at the entrance of the hotel has many types to choose from, and the boiling water is really delicious! It is only three minutes away from the ancient city of Changting. It is convenient to go to attractions and business districts. Next time you come to live here, you must have five stars!

Staying in a modern room within a centuries-old Tulou was an incredible experience! They even installed an elevator in the Tulou, which was a thoughtful touch. The location is right next to the Tulou Prince scenic area, and there's parking available for those driving. What made it even better was the fantastic evening show; we specifically came for it and felt it was totally worth the trip! My only minor complaint is that the mattress was a bit too soft, and after a day of driving, it wasn't great for my back. Luckily, there was a firm daybed I could sleep on. I'd recommend visiting during the off-season; it's quieter at night, and you'll feel like you have the whole Tulou to yourself for photos. However, it's still a good idea to bring noise-canceling headphones, otherwise, you might get woken up early by tour groups checking in.

This time I stayed at the Tujiawan Hotel. The room was clean and tidy. The quilt cover and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was large and the hot bath was bigger than mine. I expected and the Hakka dishes in the restaurant next door were also delicious. The front desk sister Jiang is also very hospitable and talkative. In fact, this time from Malaysia to Yongding is to find roots. After talking to her, she was very happy to introduce me to the tour guide. After the tour guide took me to a lot of earth buildings, I found the ancestors by the way. In the evening, I returned to the hotel and met my sister at the front desk. We talked again before getting off work. She knew my hometown and was very happy to help me. I said that there were relatives who could help me find my hometown relatives. After about an hour, I received her good news, saying that there are relatives there. I will have people from my hometown to meet later. I am so excited and excited to receive her news. I really have a grateful heart. Thank you for her so enthusiastic help. Otherwise, I will not find my hometown to find my roots smoothly. This trip is awesome. Thanks again to sister Jiang Jingqing! The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of the ancient city. From the river view room as shown in Figure 9, you can also see a corner of the ancient city. There is a supermarket downstairs. There is a pedestrian street opposite the hotel. There are all kinds of local snacks and specialties. There is ample underground parking space in front of the hotel. It is a newly opened hotel, so the rooms are neat and clean, and the facilities and supplies are very good. Recommended to stay

The whole family is also very key to eating and living. This is clean and comfortable. The boss and the proprietress are also very enthusiastic. They will also make tea for us to drink and explain the local customs to us. It is a very happy trip...^_^

A very satisfying stay experience. This homestay is quite large, with a large parking lot and restaurant. The location is very good, a few steps away from the Tulou Prince Zhencheng Building. The exit of the scenic spot was 600 meters from his house. We didn't let the car in the scenic spot until 4 pm. We parked the car in the parking lot next to the exit (free of charge). The proprietress drove to pick it up in time and was very enthusiastic. The boss introduced us to the tour route. Some villagers were drinking tea and chatting with the boss, and the boss's family was very good. At around 5 o'clock, we drove the car to the downstairs of the villa, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The proprietress burned a hand, caught chicken on the mountain, fresh vegetables picked in the field, and the kitchen was clean. After dinner, go to Zhencheng Building to watch a light show and a movie on the floor. If you walk about 2 kilometers from the entrance of the scenic spot to Zhencheng Building, you don't have to take the scenic car and pay the parking fee to live in this house, which saves money and effort. It is a very recommended homestay.
