Yogyakarta Hotels with Bars

We love the location of this Hotel. Easy to walk to the nearest shopping areas. Breakfast spread is good although this is within the fasting period. Only one small comment is the Bathing room is very slippery when showering. I slipped and fall while bathing, lucky that I didn't knock on to the glass panel or the wall. Suggest to have bathing mat at the showering point. Overall for my friends and I are very satisfy with the stay at Harper Hotel.

I stayed for 2 nights. On the first night, the room looked good and clean when I checked in. However, cockroaches started appearing that night. They were still there the next day, even after I reported it and they sprayed insect killer. Eventually, I asked to switch rooms that night because I was so disgusted. They responded immediately and moved me, even upgrading my room. But I'm still traumatized by the cockroaches crawling around last night, and it wasn't just one, I saw three! 😭😭 As for breakfast, I didn't find it very tasty, though the variety was decent. The shower area isn't enclosed, so the floor is always wet and uncomfortable. There was one female restaurant staff member on the rooftop who wasn't great. Also, because non-hotel guests can dine there, the parking and rooftop restaurant get full from outside visitors, which was a bit uncomfortable. I hope they make some improvements.

Excellent service given by all staff of hotel. We had an experience where my sister had left her gold ring in the hotel room. They acted immediately when we Whatsapp and hand over the gold ring when we returned back to the hotel. Their services are exceptional very good

Had to switch room, due to noisy kids running, jumping, screaming and crying, then you hear mom talking out loud and shouting, all the way till 12am, at 6:30am there awake and the whole story starts again… the second room was at the corner but the neighbor water pressure system seems to be installed right in between the wall on my bed, praying the whole night he can end up showering. It’s not the employees fault, the front desk lady. Camel did her best but overall the employees english was poor so it was hard to communicate. Plus, this is othe only hotel that doesn’t has a adaptor to borrow. The breakfast is decent and the waiter is always smiling and energetic. The location was okay with laundry, restaurants, local warungs nearby. Btw, having breakfast beside the management of the hotel helding their daily meeting was quite funny, when the meeting finishes the managers would greet you while cooking their own eggs at the station, hilarious experience.

Very trendy, cool hotel, I especially loved the restaurant on the ground floor. Very good quality and cheap dishes. The room quite ok, but my window had no view - facing a wall of another building, and a bit of mold in the shower soap holder corners. To sum up, I really enjoined my stay, they even had a lion dance show for the Chinese New Year.

The location is pretty good, right in a busy commercial area, and it's even connected to a large shopping mall next door. As for the hotel itself, it's just average, on par with a typical budget chain hotel in China. There are quite a few similar hotels nearby. I felt it was still a bit far to walk to the train station; it might be better to stay closer to the station.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Greenhost Boutique Hotel in Yogyakarta. I also appreciated the breakfast spread, which offered a good variety of options, including fresh vegetables grown in the hotel's own rooftop garden. It was great to see their sustainability efforts reflected directly in the dining experience. The only minor drawback was the presence of some mosquitoes in the open-air areas during the evening, which is understandable given the lush greenery and outdoor spaces. Overall, this was a small issue compared to the hotel's many strengths. I would happily recommend Greenhost Boutique Hotel to travelers looking for a comfortable stay with a strong focus on environmental sustainability.

The room was really great! 👍 Big plus for me that the bathroom wasn't cramped either! 👍 Overall, everything was good. 👍 In the evening, they even called to offer dinner or room service. 👍

The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta offers a prime, central location that makes exploring the city effortless. It is undeniably old but charming, successfully preserving a unique heritage atmosphere that feels like a step back in time. However, the layout feels a bit scattered and lacks a cohesive flow, suggesting the original design wasn't particularly well-planned for modern guest movement. While the colonial aesthetics are beautiful, the property is clearly showing its age and is in need of a refurbishment to bring the facilities and room interiors up to a more competitive standard.
