"Overall, we had a pleasant stay with both highlights and a few drawbacks. The rooms were large, spacious, and comfortable, and the resort’s large pool was a standout feature. There were two more, one was an indoor pool and the other was a small pool where only the interior was clean enough to swim in. There was plenty of seating available around the large pool, making it easy to find a spot to relax. I also enjoyed the evening entertainment, which featured traditional music and cultural performances that created a fun atmosphere. In addition the staff were very friendly and approachable Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. While there were multiple breakfast locations, the selection was quite limited and felt underwhelming. It was also inconsistent between locations—only one restaurant had a cappuccino machine, while the others offered only regular hot coffee. The beach is not within walking distance, so you’ll need to take the resort shuttle to get there. The shuttle service was convenient and also provided access to a nearby convenience store. One thing to note is that beach umbrellas and lounge chairs are not included and must be rented separately. One minor downside was that the hallways occasionally had an unusual smell. Aside from that, the resort was well maintained, and the combination of spacious accommodations, the excellent pool, convenient shuttle service, and enjoyable evening entertainment made for an overall good stay."

"The hotel has a minimalist design. We were upgraded to a lagoon view room, and the water was beautiful on a good day. There are two small, enclosed beaches, but the sea was still quite cold in May. The two pools close early and apparently won't be open late until September. There are a few massage hot spring pools which are quite comfortable. For breakfast, sometimes you have to get a number and wait for a table. The French toast with cream and jam was super delicious, the bread was so soft it melted in your mouth. The pudding bread was also good. Overall, the desserts and bread were outstanding. The dishes varied daily. On the first day, there was freshly grilled steak, and the bitter melon scrambled eggs were very tasty. On the second day, there was Agu pork hotpot."

"e had a fantastic stay at Hotel Monterey Okinawa Spa & Resort. The hotel is extremely family-friendly, and my child especially loved the outdoor pool. The indoor pool was also excellent, providing a great option regardless of the weather. Our room was clean, spacious, and offered a beautiful view. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Their English communication skills were excellent, which made our stay even more comfortable and convenient. One of the highlights was the nightly fireworks display, which added a special touch to our holiday. The location is also perfect — Lawson is just across the road, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance."

"【Enjoy luxury at a compact private beach】 As the name suggests, the ocean-view rooms facing Miyuki Beach are superb. Since it's a private beach, it's a very quiet and pleasant place, though this can depend on the season. Even in the off-season of February, we were blessed with good weather and enjoyed a warm, beach-perfect stay. Breakfast is a buffet in a large venue. While the variety isn't extensive, you can eat quickly and head out to nearby attractions. However, there aren't many dining options immediately outside the hotel; the closest is about a 15-minute walk, so I recommend doing some research beforehand."

"We were welcomed warmly by the hotel staff. One of the hotel staff (feeling bad for not getting their names) brought us to our room and showed us our room amenities. The Premium Suite is very big and there is only one such suite in the whole hotel. The Suite comes with a balcony, living room, bedroom, futon area, large bathroom and a separated toilet. The balcony faces the beautiful sea. The only downside during our trip is that the sunset was covered by the clouds. The dining area is on the 2nd floor where our booking included one full-course meal for both dinner and breakfast. The staff will ask for your preferred dining timing during the check-in. Our futons were set up during our dinner time. We got to eat a good variety of dishes during our meals, and the food was very good and fresh. The staff also tried to introduce each dish in English. Thank you. Hot bath/onsen and steam room is located on the 1st floor. Not sure if everyone is enjoying the bath within their room, it was pretty quiet during our visit. We did not notice any gym or laundry facilities though.  Price aside, it is definitely highly recommended for families and larger group of friends who likes to enjoy the hotel stay and amenities. You will probably not feel like travelling out after stepping in."

"Good hotel, with a great room and ambience, and has great lobby lounge and free drinks, the pool is also amazing. Hotel service is good, but can slightly improve to be even better, as staff seems a little unsure in English sometimes but they do try their best so that is nice, mainly just nitty gritty details can be improved (e.g. no one waiting at the hotel drop off during arrival, or staff just watching us unload the luggage ourselves, or not leading us to the hotel lobby but instead having us walk ahead and figure out where to go). Also note that there is no gym / workout facilities. Location might also be a little hard to locate as you need to go into a small alley up hill, and the entrance is located in sort of a back alley of another hotel, but it does eventually open up to a small drop off. Car park is great though, direct to room. And the room again is 10/10. Overall, a good stay experience, will go back again for the good, comfortable and spacious room."

"The ultimate choice in Okinawa! Stunning beach, caves, and perfect family vibe Our second room was just as wonderful. If you are looking to stay on the main island of Okinawa without taking extra flights to outer islands like Ishigaki, this is hands down the best hotel for a family vacation with kids. What we absolutely loved: * Stunning beach and nature: The beach is perfect and super safe for children. There is an incredibly beautiful, winding path along the shore. The rocky coastline, scenic caves, and lush tropical plants make walking around a magical experience. * A winning hotel chain: We highly recommend combining your trip with their sister property. If you do travel to Ishigaki, stay at ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort—it is easily one of the finest hotels on that island. Both resorts represent the absolute top tier of hospitality. * Flawless service despite flight issues: Our only complaint about the entire trip goes to ANA Airlines, as our return flight to Tokyo was delayed by 8 hours, which was quite exhausting. However, this is strictly an airline issue. It has nothing to do with the hotels themselves and their wonderful, dedicated staff who did an impeccable job. The local Okinawans at the resort are the sweetest and most welcoming people. Between the brilliant service, incredible nature, and great facilities, this was a dream vacation!"

"This hotel is perfect for a vacation. The room's blinds have a unique design, which unfortunately means they don't block out the morning sun, so if you like to sleep in, it's best to bring an eye mask. Also, the hotel is divided into two sections: Beach Wing and Sunset Wing. We stayed in the Beach Wing this time, and while our balcony overlooked the sea, the hallway outside our door faced a road, and we could hear cars speeding by at night. You'd think the hotel is far enough from the road that the noise wouldn't be that bad. However, the room's design, with a long corridor leading from the front door to the bedroom (past the closet and bathroom), acts as a natural sound amplifier. If we stay at this hotel again, we'll probably request to be in the Sunset Wing, where the noise might be a bit less."

Here are some detailed tips: 1. **Transportation**: You can take the Limousine Bus (CD line) directly from Naha Airport to the hotel entrance. The last bus departs at 6 PM. Look for the 'Airport - Domestic Terminal' direction, and purchase your ticket at Gate 2. Cash payment is required. The hotel front desk can book a return bus to the airport/Naha Bus Terminal, but only morning departures are available. The bus stop is located just a short walk to the left after exiting the hotel. The journey typically takes 1.5 hours. 2. **Dining**: I recommend booking a stay that includes breakfast; the buffet breakfast is excellent, and you can enjoy it with ocean views. For dinner, you can purchase the buffet on-site. Remember to use the 10% discount coupon provided by the hotel. Dining options nearby are limited; about 100 meters from the hotel, there's only one shabu-shabu restaurant, which also offers sukiyaki. 3. **Shopping**: The hotel has a souvenir shop and a convenience store, but prices are a bit high. About 100 meters from the hotel, across the road, there's a Family Mart convenience store with reasonable prices. 4. **Facilities**: All water sports activities on the beach incur extra charges, but the pricing is transparent. The outdoor and indoor pools are free, and the indoor pool is heated. There's a fee for the hot springs, which varies depending on the time of day, with mornings being cheaper and evenings most expensive. I suggest going in the afternoon; it opens after 4 PM, there are fewer people, and you can enjoy the beach view. It's located near the indoor pool on the first floor and can be a bit hard to find, so ask a staff member for directions. It costs 600 JPY per person in the afternoon. If you opt out of room cleaning, the hotel provides a 1000 JPY voucher that can be used at the hotel's hot springs, restaurants, or convenience store. 5. **Rooms**: The rooms are generally clean. Remember to request a high floor from the staff, especially if you've booked an ocean view room. Late check-ins might only get lower-floor rooms, but it's worth trying to get a higher floor; while all ocean view rooms offer a sea view, the perspective differs significantly. 6. **Surroundings**: You can take a taxi to Onna Station, which is like a service area with some snack stalls and a supermarket. "I saw reviews mentioning the North Building being older, but my stay there this time completely changed my mind. The facilities are well-maintained, and the room was quite spacious, with plenty of room in the bathroom, bedroom, and balcony! The breakfast selection was relatively limited, and the dishes didn't change much over my two-day stay, but it was acceptable. The hotel is very close to the beach; you step right out onto it, and the sea view is perfect. The water is clear, and the swimming area is open until 5:30 PM, after which swimming is not allowed. To use amenities like beach chairs, golf, water kayaking, and the sauna (seven or eight items in total), you need to purchase a pass at check-in, which then grants free use. Other water activities like snorkeling require an extra fee (you can rent life jackets, goggles, and snorkels to snorkel independently in the hotel's sea area, and there are quite a few small fish near the reefs). Notably, the hotel's seaside boardwalk is beautiful! Few people venture there, especially at sunset, when the scenery is absolutely stunning. The maga zip line charges hotel guests the same as other visitors, which is interesting. It's definitely worth trying."
