"Overall speaking, this hotel is value for money if choosing to stay in Onna Village. The ocean view is spectacular. We enjoyed it so much especially on the last day of our trip. We eventually had the blue sky and white clouds. The room is very spacious with a nice balcony! That's most precious for our holiday. Since it was early Nov, the outdoor pool was closed. We used the indoor pool which comes with a outdoor jacuzzi. That's so lovely. Regrettably, the indoor pool was not available to use until after 9:00am in the morning, that was so inconvenient for hotel guests. We normally can't swim after having a nice breakfast. There is an airport limousine at the main entrance of the hotel, that is very convenient for us because the hotel is located on the hill slope. We did not drive. So, we chose to book the limousine bus at the hotel concierge to save us time and energy to walk downhill to take the city bus after we checked out. Although it cost 5000 yens for the BBQ dinner, the variety of food is good. So, we were quite happy with the money spent on it. The breakfast buffet also provided a good selection of food especially a good selection of cooked food with local veggies as ingredients. It was worth spending HK$140 for each of us."

"The hotel and its ocean view from the room are very beautiful. Room is very clean and spacious. Staff are very helpful. The location is good too. There are plenty of good restaurants around, and not long driving to Manzamo and Nago. I stayed for 2 nights, and if you do not require any room making and cleaning, you can get a ¥1000 voucher which can be used in the hotel e.g. hotel shop. I think this generous initiative is very effective and win-win to save resources while boost spending. However, please note that hotel will charge parking fee. I will definitely stay again in my next visit!"

"Hello everyone! We stayed at Rizzan Sea-Park Hotel Tancha Bay from October 3rd to 10th, 2025. The hotel’s location is convenient — not right next to the main attractions, but getting there from Naha Airport is easy. There’s a direct airport bus that takes about an hour and a half and stops right at the hotel entrance. When we checked in, we were first given a room on a lower floor, even though we had asked for a higher one when booking. The next day, the staff kindly moved us — really great service and attention to detail. We chose the half-board option (breakfast and dinner). The food was excellent — tasty, diverse, and offered in several themed areas: European, Japanese, Chinese, and Okinawan. Besides the main restaurant, there are plenty of other places to eat on-site — a BBQ area, Japanese izakaya, dessert buffet, and a cozy traditional café. The beach is small but very clean, with lifeguards always on duty. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented for a small fee, and towels are available for free with hotel coupons. The hotel itself wasn’t crowded, which made it peaceful and relaxing. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. Some parts of the interior look a bit dated, but that’s easily balanced by the stunning ocean views, fair pricing, and overall comfort. All in all, this hotel is a great choice for anyone looking for a calm, relaxing getaway surrounded by beautiful scenery. Highly recommend! 🌸"

"This was exactly the kind of vacation room I was dreaming of! It had a balcony with an unobstructed, breathtaking ocean view, perfectly complemented by the stunning Okinawa blue – so relaxing. The bathroom wasn't huge, but it had a comfortable bathtub, and the toilet was in a separate room. The large public bath in the basement was bright and clean; just remember to bring your own towel. The front desk staff included a lovely lady from Taiwan, so communication was no problem. Parking is free, and there's a convenience store nearby, just a five-minute drive away."

"I used to stay near Cape Manza whenever I visited Okinawa, but this time I wanted to try a different beach, so I booked the Moon Beach Hotel. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very well-maintained and quite nice. The room was surprisingly spacious. I didn't book a sea-view room, but if you have the option, definitely go for it – it's absolutely worth it! For breakfast, there are two choices: a Japanese set meal or a more standard Western-style buffet. The room key is quite unique; it's shaped like a seahorse. On the ground floor, there's a shop selling beachwear, which is a good option if you haven't brought any. Eating out near the hotel is very convenient, with plenty of options. There are also many diving schools and car rental places nearby. Some diving schools even offer Chinese-speaking services, so it's worth checking out if you're interested. I'll definitely be back next year! 🤩🥳"

"I read the online reviews before booking, and I certainly wasn't disappointed after checking in. The room was incredibly spacious; we booked the Executive Ocean Suite on the top floor, and the ocean view was absolutely stunning. The facilities were also quite comprehensive, and all the staff were very enthusiastic and friendly. The breakfast buffet at the main restaurant offered a wide variety of choices, and the ingredients were fresh, so even our 1.5-year-old baby could eat safely. I highly recommend trying their signature pudding! It's an award-winning dessert from Onna Village. My only regret is the lack of a private beach, but thankfully, they can arrange a free shuttle service to Sun Marine Beach. Before you go, they'll even prepare towels and water for you, which is a very thoughtful touch!"

"This hotel is motel style kind of resort with private beach, expensive but cheaper than the other similar hotels in the Onna area which are also by the beach. I had a ground floor room so didn't have a view (garden view) but if you stay in the upper levels you should get a view of the ocean and beach. The beach is just a few minute walk behind the hotel, and is a small secluded beach with a little reef and is quite lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean, the decor is dated though. Each room has a patio. You can buy snorkelling gear from the small lobby, and there is a small hotel restaurant which serves decent buffet breakfast. I chose this hotel because of the price and also it is close to Cape Maeda where the blue cave is, but you can also do a little snorkelling at the private beach too. It is more convenient to drive there, but they charge 100 yen a day for parking."

"Booked this hotel through Trip.com. It's incredibly convenient as the limousine bus stops right at the hotel entrance. The hotel is situated between the Hotel Monterey and the Sheraton, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are incredibly spacious – all suites with two bedrooms, roughly 70 square meters, plus a large terrace of about 10 square meters. Every room offers a direct sea view. Although the hotel is separated from the beach by a road, it's just a short walk across to the sand. The beach is uncrowded, and under the sunlight, you can clearly see the distinct layers of the 'jellyfish sea,' which is absolutely stunning. For breakfast, there are two choices: Western and Japanese, though the variety isn't extensive. There's a FamilyMart convenience store next door, making it easy to grab essentials. It's the perfect place to just relax and unwind, gaze at the sea, and collect hermit crabs – a truly a fantastic vacation spot."

"Absolutely loved it! Especially Ana. This hotel boasts its own beautiful private beach, accessible via a secret path. The breakfast at the executive lounge was also delicious. The location is perfect, right next to Cape Manza in Onna Village, central Okinawa. It's close to the Churaumi Aquarium in the north and also very near Naha. I consider it a perfectly seamless experience. Plus, there were Chinese staff in the executive lounge who helped us with any Japanese language difficulties! All in all, my ANA trip was an excellent experience!"

XXiaoyadaochukankanI come to Okinawa almost every winter for vacation and have stayed at many ocean-view hotels here. Halekulani Okinawa stands out for both its significant strengths and weaknesses. **Pros:** (1) As a newly built hotel, the facilities are much newer than other hotels. The rooms even have smart tablets to conveniently book restaurants and check out various amenities. (2) Although the restaurant prices are noticeably higher than other hotels, the quality of both the buffet and à la carte restaurants, and even room service, is excellent and worth the price. (3) The service is very good. If you're taking public transportation when checking out, they'll even provide a car to take you to the station. (4) If you skip breakfast, you can change it to lunch, which is convenient for those who like to sleep in. **Cons:** This seems to be a common issue with Western hotel brands. Halekulani Okinawa, along with two other Hilton hotels here, shares the following problems. I believe this might stem from differences in Western brands' operational philosophies. However, for a hotel like Halekulani, which costs more than double other ocean-view hotels, these shortcomings are quite unacceptable. (1) The hotel lacks a well-stocked convenience store and souvenir shop. Other Japanese-owned ocean-view resort hotels usually have one or two such stores with a wide variety of items. Here, there's only one shop selling some Halekulani branded merchandise and a very limited selection of ”eco-friendly, natural” snacks, with hardly any beverages. If you want something to eat, you have to walk a few hundred meters outside the hotel to a chain convenience store. (2) The mini-bar drinks in the room are chargeable, and the prices are 4-5 times higher than at outside convenience stores. Considering this hotel is 2-3 times more expensive than others, and many other hotels often offer free mini-bars, this difference is quite significant. The main issue is the lack of an internal convenience store, forcing guests to frequently go out to a convenience store a few hundred meters away for a wider selection of drinks and snacks. Not to mention, it's truly unpleasant to go out when it's rainy or windy. For someone like me who enjoys staying at a comfortable and convenient hotel for several days or even a week, it's hard to stay long if a resort can't meet all my needs in one place. (3) The price for the self-service laundry and dryer (700/800 JPY) is also about three times higher than at other local ocean-view hotels (200/300 JPY). While the hotel's price is more than double that of others, the convenience and comfort aren't significantly higher (aside from newer facilities). Coupled with a mini-bar and self-service laundry that are several times more expensive, and the need to go outside to buy necessities due to the lack of an on-site convenience store, it feels like they're trying too hard to squeeze every penny. Feeling welcomed at the door with the staff greeting us and checking with our booking, followed by a welcome matcha and mochi then the check-in procedures. Since we booked the plan with dinner and breakfast, we got the time to enjoy the public bath area before heading to the restaurant for a scrumptious dinner, with sunset as the backdrop. Breakfast on the next day is also a pleasant surprise with the Japanese set breakfast and free flow on pancakes that you can make on your own at the pancake machine, which is a satisfying if you crave for a taste of Western style breakfast. I would love to stay in this hotel again when revisiting Okinawa next time!

AAnonymous UserWonderful hosts.I stayed in the attached two-story townhouse. Upstairs was a roomy bedroom with 3 big-sized single beds. Downstairs had a new bathtub/shower combo in the bathroom. and roomy kitchen had all modern amenities and served as the family room. Great outdoor space for a BBQ or just to relax with some snacks and drinks. Best part was my dog could enjoy being inside and outside with no restrictions. Just be considerate with your pet. (pay pet fee upon check-in ¥1,100) Breakfast was delicious.

WWendy1011002Hoshino Resort offers a really comfortable environment. Even if you arrive late, there are food trucks outside and dining options available within the hotel. Plus, you'll find a few shops and convenience stores nearby, all within walking distance. Because it's a bit suburban, it's not noisy at all, making it very peaceful. However, this location is definitely more convenient if you're traveling by car.

SSarah GraceWe stayed 5 nights at the Beach Resort Kalakaua in a Family Cottage. It was a good size for 2 friends and all of our diving equipment; comfortable, and spacious! The room was clean, and we were given enough towels and toiletries to last 5 days. The location was walking distance to the beach, a few restaurants, and right by the 7-11 which was super handy. We had a lovely stay, but wished that there was somewhere we could hang our wet swimsuits and diving gear, either inside or outside the cabin.

CC cowThe service was great! Every corner of the hotel room AND the bath area are squeakly clean. I could say that the bath area was even cleaner than most of people houses. The shower head power was incredibly strong, I could wash my hair 2x faster than normal showers! Parking area was huge and convenient. The bedroom was super cozy, the beds were comfy too but if you need extra spaces for maybe your family, theres extra futon for you to use (although you have to ask the counter and pay). Overall I really enjoyed staying over. I was suprised during my stay, there were barely any customers which made my bathing experience extra enjoyable.

TTezpezMy boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Ocean Resort PMC. The location is convenient if you have diving plans, with the diving drop-off point right next to the hotel. There's also a surf and diving shop and school below where you can ask about lessons and equipment. Although we had already booked our diving elsewhere, it was just an 8-minute drive away, and they even drove us back to the hotel, which was a bit amusing. Overall, the stay was fair, but there are a few things to note. After 11 AM, the elevator is not available, and the parking lot is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. However, there's a 24/7 convenience store just across the street, which is very handy. The ground floor has a washing machine that all guests can use. After 11 PM, you have to use the stairs, which can be a bit scary as there's no light. The hotel has a kitchen, but it lacks basic utensils. For the price, I felt like I could have picked somewhere better, but the location and amenities were decent enough for our needs.
