Arrived late but managed to self checked in. Easy and convenient. Room was super impressive for the price that we paid.
There are several eateries just minutes away from our motel, and about 3 ‘mins walk to the beach front.

Environment: It's a large house not far from the beach. The landlord and his family live upstairs, but the privacy is good and they generally don't disturb each other. The first floor has three or four rooms rented out as a B&B. The green room we booked wasn't large, but it had everything you need, including a private bathroom and a small garden with many plants outside. It was a very cozy environment. Service: The landlord, a white-haired man, was incredibly welcoming. He gave us a detailed tour of his house during check-in, and it was obvious how much he'd put into it. The bed sheets were much softer and more comfortable than those in hotels. Around 10 pm, our companion felt a little unwell and rang the doorbell for the landlord, who immediately came down with a medicine box. It was so touching 🥹🥹🥹 He deserves a five-star rating! Breakfast: There's a shared kitchen where you can help yourself to breakfast, including bread, juice, and jam. The kitchen was so clean that we were too embarrassed to eat the strong-smelling instant noodles...😂

A decent, very central hotel in the middle of Apollo Bay. Good value for money. Rooms are looking a little tired, and towels are in definite need to be replaced, but generally I was happy with my stay, and would come here again.

When I checked in, it was past the check-in time for the B&B and I got lost, so I drove to another B&B (I got lost on Google Maps). Fortunately, my Telstra card still had a signal, so I quickly called the B&B owner. The B&B owner drove to pick me up five minutes later and guided me to the accommodation. The accommodation was a two-bedroom villa, which was kept fairly clean. The living room was large, the bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, and there was a washing machine, but no detergent. The 10-minute drive from Apollo Bay was its biggest drawback, but the scenery in the mountains was very similar to a national park, which is suitable for those who like to live in seclusion.

Apollo Bay is the town where our family stayed the longest on this self-driving Great Ocean Road trip. Our family of five, two adults and three children, stayed in this cabin for three nights in a row. In addition to the beautiful scenery nearby, the most important thing is that it provides bicycles, boats, fishing rods, golf clubs, etc., and you can go to nearby courses. , play at the beach, we have fun every day! The owner Amanda and a friend of hers are taking care of these cabins. They are very nice people and can provide a lot of help to guests. For those of us living in domestic cities, burning wood in the fireplace to keep warm is a very interesting experience!

Even if you arrive late, you will receive a letter telling you how to enter the room, saying that the door is not locked, the specific location of your stay, and how to check out the next day. The location is very good, less than ten minutes drive from the puffing train, and the house is very cute.
