A landmark building in the hearts of Shanghainese, almost 100 years old. My stay was excellent, and the staff were all very enthusiastic. 

☔️ It's plum rain season recently, and they always helped me with an umbrella cover when I went in and out.

⭐️ Last night, I got back late and accidentally soaked my slippers while showering. I called room service, and they immediately brought new slippers with a smile, along with new tissues. I checked her name tag and wanted to really thank the young lady named Qiao Qingyun? Yun? She truly made me feel right at home.

Hardware: Although the hotel's hardware facilities are a bit dated, compared to hundred-year-old buildings in Europe, the floors and walls here are in much better condition.

Location: Right outside is People's Square Station (lines 1/2/8). You can walk to West Nanjing Road, Nanjing Road, and East Nanjing Road. There are also many snacks nearby.

Regret: Although hotel guests can skip the queue to buy butterfly pastries, it's only for the kilogram-sized gift box (207 yuan). If you want the classic version, you still have to go downstairs and queue early in the morning.

This hotel is quite conveniently located, with a bus stop and convenience store right outside. The front desk staff were quick and friendly during check-in. The room was more spacious than I expected, and the cleanliness was excellent, with clean sheets and duvet covers. The bathroom had no strange odors, and the hot water came out quickly with good pressure. The bed was just the right firmness, and the soundproofing was decent, allowing for a good night's sleep. Breakfast had all the essentials; while not super lavish, it was enough to fill you up. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I'd consider staying here again on my next business trip.

Huge thanks to the hotel for the room upgrade! It's a classic five-star room that gives off a luxurious vibe from decades ago. The room facilities aren't fancy or over-the-top like modern hotels, but they are absolutely dignified and grand. The cleanliness is top-notch, truly exceptional. The garden within the property is incredibly beautiful. And the service, from the doorman to the room staff, is absolutely first-class. From now on, whenever I'm in Shanghai, this will be my go-to hotel.

Facilities: This hotel has the solid foundation of an old-brand establishment, though the elevator is quite retro. There's a good selection of pillows, and the mattress is very comfortable. All the amenities you could think of are readily available, which is excellent. A heads-up for business travelers: the desk is glass, which gets super cold, and the chair cushion is very flat.

Environment: Located right next to Xujiahui subway station, you're within a ten-minute walk of everything you need for dining, entertainment, accommodation, and transportation. The surrounding facilities are very comprehensive.

Service: The service attitude is excellent. The cleaning staff always greeted me with a smile.

I have to give a huge shout-out to the incredibly thoughtful Manager Yuanyuan! From booking our stay to checking out, every step was perfectly organized. When we couldn't find our way to check in, she personally came to the fountain to pick us up and gave us detailed directions. All our requests, like afternoon tea and help with travel photography, were promptly addressed. Before we left, she pre-arranged everything, saving us the hassle of running around. Her attitude was gentle and considerate, and she handled everything efficiently and reliably. Having such a caring and responsible manager truly made our stay exceptional! 🌹

When checking in, the front desk mentioned the room was a bit small, and indeed, it was clear it was one of the irregularly shaped rooms at the very end of the hall. However, the room itself was deep enough that it didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The view from the window was also fantastic, and the cleanliness and facilities were top-notch. It's truly incredible value for money!

The room facilities are complete and convenient to use, comfortable and very clean. It's close to the business district with convenient transportation. The environment is beautiful and refreshing, and the hotel staff has a great service attitude.

The room was quite spacious, and the environment was lovely. I imagine it would be even more beautiful in spring and summer, but since I stayed in winter, the greenery wasn't at its best. The hotel grounds are huge; taking a stroll after the buffet breakfast is a great way to digest. Speaking of which, the buffet breakfast had a fantastic variety of options, and the service was excellent! The room even came with a small balcony, perfect for enjoying afternoon tea. 😉

Although this 1980s-built hotel hasn't undergone major renovations, the value for money offered by this package is truly outstanding. We checked into a south-facing, fourth-floor room with a balcony and a view. While the facilities had a nostalgic charm from a bygone era, everything was fully functional. Sitting on the balcony in the afternoon, basking in the warm sun, with a vast lawn before me and the crisp chirping of birds in my ears, was incredibly relaxing.

The package included three zoo tickets (40 RMB each), and the hotel is just a 10-minute walk away. Even in winter, it was delightful to observe the various animals.

Dinner was served at the Jasmine Hall. We had three portions of abalone, sea cucumber, and mushroom thick soup, three pieces of beef, three sauced shrimp, and three steamed siumai, along with stir-fried Shanghai greens and a steamed perch weighing about a pound. Paired with rice, all the dishes were delicious and made with fresh ingredients.

Breakfast offered both Western and Chinese options and was decent overall, with the Western pastries being particularly good and worth trying.

The hotel grounds boast several ancient trees, some over a hundred years old. Villas 2 and 3, century-old Western-style buildings, were hidden among the trees, only viewable from a distance. More disappointingly, the nearby Sassoon Villa is now closed to the public as the owner has reclaimed the property, so we couldn't see it.

Overall, the hotel service was satisfactory. The front desk, cleaning staff, restaurant staff, and gatekeepers were all very enthusiastic. When we called to request bottled water, it was delivered very quickly.

All in all, for 570 RMB (one night), what we received was definitely great value for money.

The Garden Inn is truly fantastic! Every stay is consistently clean and hygienic, with spacious and bright rooms! The green plants on the windowsill are vibrant and full of life! The bed is just the right firmness, allowing for a comfortable sleep until you naturally wake up.

The hotel's front desk staff provide quiet, gentle, and smiling service throughout, which is very pleasant.

Even the hotel's breakfast offers a wide variety of options, combining both Western and Chinese dishes.

The hotel's surrounding area is incredibly convenient for public transport, with easy access to the subway.

Definitely worth recommending to more people!

Environment: The environment is typical of an established five-star hotel, very comfortable.
Service: The front desk staff, HUA, provided excellent service and was able to accommodate personalized requests.

Came to Beijing with the kids for spring break, and didn't arrive at the hotel until after 10 PM. The front desk upgraded us from a standard room to a suite, which was a very pleasant surprise! The hotel is located within the Second Ring Road, and it's within walking distance to the subway, so the location is great. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's generally well-maintained. The only minor downsides were that the shower drain was a bit slow, and it was quite warm in the room at night in late April, but the air conditioning wasn't cooling.

Extremely satisfied with my stay! Thanks to Li Shuang at the front desk, we were upgraded to a quieter high-floor room. Wu Lili (housekeeping) kept our room spotless and tidy, and Housekeeping Manager Di Huixia was also very welcoming and proactive. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the subway station, making transportation super convenient. If I come to Beijing again, I'll definitely choose Beijing Fujian Hotel!

The hotel is located in the city center, a 10-minute walk from the Bell Tower. The surrounding area is bustling with businesses, making it convenient to find all sorts of snacks. The hotel offers free underground parking, which is a rare find in this area. The front desk staff were very welcoming and even upgraded my room, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend! 👍

The hotel was generally very nice and convenient, not far from the highway exit and very close to the Olympic Sports Center (about a ten-minute drive). Even the river-view rooms had great views, and the rooms were quite spacious. The environment was really nice, but it's a prime location. I went on New Year's Eve, and it was incredibly crowded. I wanted to try the breakfast, but unfortunately, I was too late to get up, so I won't comment on that (I think a small open-air balcony would be nice; I highly recommend it). The only drawback was that the facilities had some minor issues. I drove there right after work, already exhausted, and wanted to rest before going out for dinner and entertainment. However, the bedside socket was faulty, and it took about 40-50 minutes to check and repair it. It was really frustrating. This is the bare minimum for a hotel; any room problems should be addressed beforehand. I don't know if the previous guests didn't report it or what, but this kind of basic mistake shouldn't be made. Furthermore, no staff member apologized at all. The only apology was from the repairman who said something like ”sorry to bother you.” No one from the front desk or the housekeeper inquired about our well-being. I just wanted to ask, ”Where is the apology?” My first stay wasn't great. When checking in, I asked if I could have a late check-out. The receptionist, Ms. Zheng, was very kind and let us check out at 2 PM. Considering it was New Year's Day, being able to check out at 2 PM was still a huge relief. The concierge was also very helpful; he even helped me with my luggage, although I only had two backpacks, and explained how to use the lighting controls.

In short, the price wasn't really good value for money. Without the receptionist and concierge, I would have given this hotel a bad review. It's unbelievable that such a large hotel isn't as good value as hotels costing 200-300 yuan these days; it's ridiculous.
