Excellent hotel!

Every year when I visit Shanghai, I choose to stay here.

Location: The hotel is conveniently located directly across the street from Huaihai Road Middle Metro Station.

Room facilities: It's an established hotel with professional management, so check-in feels safe and secure.

Reception service: The front desk staff are warm and attentive, and the housekeeping service is meticulous.

Dining service: The breakfast selection is incredibly diverse, offering both Chinese and Western options, catering to different dietary preferences.

Overall, a very good stay!

I actually had a pretty good stay. Let's start with the positives: the location is excellent, very close to Nanjing Road, and right across from the Revolutionary History Museum. It's super convenient for getting around. I even walked to the Bund, and though it took about half an hour, walking along Nanjing Road made the time fly by. The hotel has a rich historical feel, as it was once the tallest building in the Far East, with an exterior resembling the Empire State Building and interiors exuding old-money charm. It's fantastic for photos. The rooms are also well-decorated, and the bathrooms are quite modern, featuring smart toilets and separate wet and dry areas. You can even pre-order butterfly pastries at the hotel, which is a nice guest perk. Plus, there's a live band performance in the lobby bar, making it feel like you've stepped back in time to the Bund's heyday.

Now for the downsides: being a century-old building, the soundproofing isn't great. You can clearly hear people talking in the hallway from your room. Also, there are far too few power outlets in the room.

The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate for two people. Fortunately, the price wasn't bad; 600 RMB without breakfast during the Chinese New Year period felt quite reasonable. I think if it were priced at 400-500 RMB normally, it would be extremely good value for money.

However, there are so many hotels in Shanghai, and a lot of options at this price point, so I probably won't stay here again.

This classic hotel truly lives up to its reputation! The location is absolutely perfect, offering a peaceful retreat right in the heart of the city. My room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed. The service was impeccable and incredibly attentive, making my stay very comfortable. Staying here in Shanghai always gives me such peace of mind. I especially loved the new addition of afternoon tea and breakfast at the Executive Club Lounge – a really nice touch! Highly recommended!

The Jianguo Hotel was one of Shanghai's first hotels catering to international guests, so I initially thought its facilities might be a bit outdated compared to newer hotels. But I was proven wrong! From the lobby to the rooms, everything was well-equipped, clean, and meticulously organized. The hygiene and overall environment were excellent!

As for the service, everyone from the doorman at the entrance, to the staff at the front desk, and even the cleaning aunties in the rooms, was well-trained and provided impeccable service. The only area that seemed to need improvement was the breakfast restaurant. On our first day, they ran out of full-fat milk; on the second day, the fruit station was completely empty; and on the third day, tables weren't being cleared promptly even after guests had left, while two young ladies nearby were chatting and laughing.

However, these minor issues don't overshadow the overall experience. All in all, my short stay here was excellent. The hotel's location is particularly superb! And in terms of value for money, it's truly high. Therefore, I'll definitely consider this one of my top choices for future visits to Shanghai! Thank you.

I've stayed at the Jinjiang Inn Lingang several times, and each time I've experienced a different room type. The Jinjiang Inn Lingang offers both apartment-style rooms and hotel-style rooms.

Personally, I feel that the apartment-style rooms are more suitable for family trips, while the hotel-style rooms are better for business travel and couples.

This time, I booked the room a week in advance, and two days before check-in, I received a pre-arrival call inquiring about my needs. Since they learned I was celebrating Valentine's Day, they thoughtfully prepared a surprise upon my arrival.

I feel there's still room for improvement regarding the executive benefits for suites. Currently, they only offer an afternoon tea set and no Happy Hour, which is quite a shame. After all, the hotel is located in the core area of Lingang, and the night view is quite good; this service shouldn't be cut.

The housekeeping staff did an excellent job with the room's cleanliness; there were virtually no flaws, and the turndown service was very professional.

The Mini Bar was also very generous, with a wide variety of beverages, and more bottled water than we could possibly use.

However, after several stays, I have to say that the breakfast is just average, and the selection isn't very rich.

Overall, though, compared to other five-star hotels in Lingang, this hotel is still very competitive. I look forward to my next stay.

I absolutely love this hotel! I was in Shanghai for a business trip, and it's perfectly situated right across from my workplace. It's a four-star hotel, and the location is simply fantastic – you step right out of the subway station and into the hotel's back entrance. It feels like a well-established property, and the lobby is impressively spacious. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

My child was taking an exam nearby, so I didn't want to get up too early. I booked this hotel based on the distance. The overall feeling was average, the facilities were old, and the service telephones in the room were not accessible. Finally, I contacted the hotel through Ctrip for consultation. This price is probably completely bound to the location. The price-performance ratio is not high, and the facilities and services are not as good as many 3⭐ hotels in cities

On May 3, my husband, daughter and I, a family of three, stayed overnight at the Longbai Hotel, which we had longed for. We booked a package on Ctrip.com to experience the hotel where the national leaders stayed. The beautiful lawn and the small garden behind the lobby are good places to rest. The hotel waiter Gu Wentao was hospitable and upgraded two rooms for us. The king-size bed room has a balcony with a view of the lawn. The waiters in the Chinese restaurant on the second floor were hospitable and the chef cooked local dishes for us. In order to leave a good memory, we took pictures of the layout of the room when the national leaders visited, including the small and exquisite telephone. The breakfast was nutritious and varied, which was also good. All five-star reviews.

For my mother's birthday, we chose a hotel located quite close to the ancient town, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The hotel boasts an impressive and elegant design, and every corner is photo-worthy. Both the sunrise and sunset views are absolutely beautiful. We had a room by the lake, and sitting on the sofa, sipping coffee and just unwinding, we could easily while away the entire day.

Most importantly, the hotel's service was absolutely outstanding and incredibly personalized. Our host, Jackson, who assisted us with check-in, was charming, polite, and exceptionally thoughtful, making us feel completely at home. Even my usually picky mother remarked that this will be our go-to destination for all future vacations.

This was such a beautiful serviced apartment, lovingly restored to Shanghai heydays of art deco. You can tell that a lot of care was put into the selection of fittings and furnishing. The service was prompt and unintrusive. We were a family of 4 and we occupied the 2 bedroom apartment which was very spacious and well appointed. The location is unbeatable both for leisure and business stay. A special place

The hotel room had a noticeable musty smell, possibly due to poor ventilation while the heating was on during winter. The service was rather average overall. During our stay, the hotel seemed to be hosting some kind of event, which made the environment quite noisy. When we entered the lobby, there were no staff members offering assistance with luggage or guiding us to the check-in counter. Overall, the experience was fairly ordinary and did not leave a strong impression.

Extremely satisfied! The hotel environment is fantastic, and it's very clean. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The hotel grounds are spacious, and they even have a swimming pool and a lounge area. Highly recommended!

Better than I expected for the price. The bed and room were quite comfortable. The room was larger than I expected. The hotel breakfast was adequate. Not particularly good, and too much lukewarm, overcooked fried Chinese food, but not as bad as some other hotels. Slightly above average for a Chinese hotel breakfast. Staff had essentially no English language knowledge, which is a little disappointing for this class of hotel in Beijing, but they were happy to work with translators. I would stay here again.

Stayed temporarily for overtime, free parking. There is a KTV in the basement of the hotel, and the lobby on the first floor is a bit noisy. The room was cleaned fairly well. There was no toothbrush, but the robot could bring it up, which was very convenient. However, the mahogany style of the room looked very old overall, and the facilities were not good, especially the bathroom. The bathtub was difficult to drain, and the hair dryer was very weak, and the hair dryer could not blow up the hair. It was okay to stay for one night, but it is not recommended if you are traveling to Beijing

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and Muslim Quarter. There's a subway station right outside the entrance, making transportation incredibly convenient. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the room was clean and tidy. The floor staff were also very polite and had a great service attitude. The facilities are comprehensive, including free swimming and a gym, plus a laundry room. The East-meets-West buffet breakfast was also delicious. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Xi'an.

The hotel was generally very nice and convenient, not far from the highway exit and very close to the Olympic Sports Center (about a ten-minute drive). Even the river-view rooms had great views, and the rooms were quite spacious. The environment was really nice, but it's a prime location. I went on New Year's Eve, and it was incredibly crowded. I wanted to try the breakfast, but unfortunately, I was too late to get up, so I won't comment on that (I think a small open-air balcony would be nice; I highly recommend it). The only drawback was that the facilities had some minor issues. I drove there right after work, already exhausted, and wanted to rest before going out for dinner and entertainment. However, the bedside socket was faulty, and it took about 40-50 minutes to check and repair it. It was really frustrating. This is the bare minimum for a hotel; any room problems should be addressed beforehand. I don't know if the previous guests didn't report it or what, but this kind of basic mistake shouldn't be made. Furthermore, no staff member apologized at all. The only apology was from the repairman who said something like ”sorry to bother you.” No one from the front desk or the housekeeper inquired about our well-being. I just wanted to ask, ”Where is the apology?” My first stay wasn't great. When checking in, I asked if I could have a late check-out. The receptionist, Ms. Zheng, was very kind and let us check out at 2 PM. Considering it was New Year's Day, being able to check out at 2 PM was still a huge relief. The concierge was also very helpful; he even helped me with my luggage, although I only had two backpacks, and explained how to use the lighting controls.

In short, the price wasn't really good value for money. Without the receptionist and concierge, I would have given this hotel a bad review. It's unbelievable that such a large hotel isn't as good value as hotels costing 200-300 yuan these days; it's ridiculous.
