It is a long established, but the room is clean and the facilities are updated.
There is a question that the hot spring can be said to be a large bath, but the quality of the spring is good and comfortable.
I think I will definitely stay again.

흑빵There's another Toyoko Inn near Kofu Station, but this one was great because it was cheaper, even though the public transport access was ever so slightly less convenient. It's located right in front of Kofu Castle, which was perfect for an early morning stroll. After an early breakfast, it was also close enough to walk to Takeda Shrine. The breakfast itself was also neatly prepared.

The staff were very kind and friendly. We were given wine as a welcome drink. Breakfast is available from 6:30, and although there aren't many varieties, it was mostly Korean food and very delicious! There are plenty of parking spaces.

I didn't think amenities like toothbrushes and combs needed to be in the room; they could have been placed next to the front desk. The service was simple, yet very good with warm responses when needed. Dining out was a bit disappointing for us non-drinkers, as there were mostly izakayas. It would have been better if the offerings at Tokiwa Hotel were more substantial. The price was high, but the content (buffet) was underwhelming.

スタッフの対応も良く、清潔感もあり、施設としてはとても良い印象を受けました。
部屋も広く、快適に過ごすことができました。
一方で、1階の天然温泉は建物の老朽化が見られ、写真で受けたイメージとは少しギャップを感じました。
また、朝食付きプランを利用しましたが、料理が事前にセットされており、温度も冷めていて“お弁当を食べている”ような印象でした。

It was an old hotel, but the service was polite and nice.
There were few shops nearby and it was hot, so I hardly left my room after checking in, but it was a shame that I overslept and couldn't eat breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality.

Guest UserStaff Ryo san is very friendly and helpful. He is very informative and I enjoy chatting with him. Our room comes with a toilet as shown. An option for a private bath is available costing 500 yen for 30min. I approached Ryo san and book my timing (first come first serve) only after I checked in. My one night stay comes with a simple breakfast the next morning. The homely meal is rice with egg omelette and some other dishes. Roughly a 15min walk to Kofu train station.

Guest UserI missed the last train and stayed in a hurry. It was a little far from the station but it was reasonable and good. It is recommended to go from another road because the road next to one is not very safe in the night town such as cabaret club. I was a little worried because I stayed alone, but the front desk was a young woman and kind, the amenities were abundant, and the charger was lent, and it was okay even if I was not prepared for the stay. It was good that the room smelled a little cigarette but it was not filthy.

Perhaps because it's near a sports park, it felt just like a dormitory for college students on a training camp. The room itself was spacious and clean, but the common areas were dirty. Luckily, I was able to sleep peacefully last night, but as an old man, I don't think I'll ever use it again.
