Hotel near Baixa,Lisbon
The Lisbon City Hotel by City Hotels is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Lisbon City Hotel by City Hotels offers a pleasant stay in Lisbon for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is conveniently located just 1km from Ponto Inicial Trem 28 and 4km from Humberto Delgado Airport. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Intendente Metro Station within walking distance. Keeping busy is easy, with Coliseu dos Recreios, Miradouro das Portas do Sol and Discover Lisbon all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. If cleanliness is important to you, this hotel makes an excellent choice, as our guests consider this to be one of the cleanest hotels in the city. This hotel is a popular accommodation for couples.

"Our room was a top-floor suite. One bedroom had two beds, and the living room had a double sofa bed. The bathroom was equipped with towels and a 3-in-1 body wash, shampoo, and hand soap. There was a hairdryer, but no toothbrush or toothpaste. The entire suite felt very new and clean, probably recently renovated. There's a small balcony where you can enjoy drinks and conversation with friends, and the view is quite nice. The hotel offers a self-service breakfast for an additional fee, and the food was good and hot. It's a basic Western breakfast with a sufficient variety of dishes. The staff were all very friendly. The location is also quite close to the city center, but without the noise of being right in the middle of it. It's about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to the city center, with many restaurants along the way. Getting to the hotel from the airport by metro, transferring to the red line and then the green line, was actually very convenient. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from the metro station."

"The best hotel in this price range! You won't find better, 1000%! It's perfectly clean, which is my number one criterion. No dust, mold, or stray hairs. There's a huge room with a magnificent floor-to-ceiling mirror, two separate sinks, a large shower, and complimentary gels, shampoos, and lotions in case you forgot yours. There's also a small balcony, crisp clean bedding, and a big, comfortable bed! The reception is 24/7, and you can leave your luggage until late at night. The staff are polite."

Amazing
AAnonymous UserI had a wonderful stay a Lumen. The room was very nice, clean, and well-maintained, and the bed was extremely comfortable. One of the highlights is the hotel’s daily light show celebrating the culture and history of Lisbon. It was a truly amazing experience and added a unique touch that made the hotel stand out from others. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to the metro, making it simple to get around and visit the city’s main attractions.

FFF.CHENGRoom size and amenities are excellent. There is some drainage smell in the bathroom during my stay but the water pressure and temperature offset that part. It's important to have a nice shower and hair wash in Lisbon summer after going out everyday. The little kitchen and dining table is absolutely value-added. Location is fair though you could still walk to the city centre in 25 mins if you don't want to pay for transport Lots of breakfast options in the surrounding. During my 4-night stay, we came across with fire alarm in the midnight at 3am ish. Everybody went down stairs to find out what happened. As everything is digitalised, no guest is able to speak to a real person staff to find out what happened as the fire alarm keeps ringing for over 20 mins. The emergency sign along the stairs is not clear enough. We didn't know we by-passed ground floor already so we kept going down until we reached the car park which is 2 floors down the ground floor, ie. Basement. We had to go up again inside the car park and found the exit to the ground floor. Imagine if a fire takes place and it gets lots of smoke around, it's could be life threatening in such a situation. Some of the residents retrieved the booking confirmation email and found the emergency contact which led us to contact the property via WhatsApp and saying someone will be on site to find out what happened and whether it's safe to re-enter the building again. We got automated email asking us not to enter the building until it's clear what happened In about 30 mins, a guy from the fire alarm company arrived and turned the alarm off. He explained one of the rooms triggered that alarm. But the guest staying in the room was with the main group on scene and said she was sleeping when the alarm rang! No cooking or smoking inside the room at all. That guy re-assured it's safe to re-enter the building so it was about 4am when we back to our room. We couldn't sleep again given adter running up and down. So this is how it goes. The hardware of the room is perfect but if you want real person support at the time when tou needed it most, I'm not sure if that's your choice.

GGuest UserFrom start to finish Dom Carlos Park did not disappoint. Helpful staff took our bag up stairs on arrival. Storage was available until our room was ready, map was given when requested to help us find our bearings. Room clean with fridge with selection of minibar which could be purchased, safe was also available. Towels were large and fluffy. Bed comfortable, with lovely pillows, black out curtains to help sleep. Room service used first night with excellent food . Breakfast was excellent good range of food. It was occasional busy and we were asked to wait in the lounge area but again well looked after and as soon as space was available we were taken in to wait. Hotel is in a good location, a gentle walk down the avenue liberdade everyday to where the action is, such as Rossio Station where we caught the train to Sintra. Great hotel would stay again. Cab from airport to hotel €24 , Uber to airport €7

GGuest UserOur go-to hotel in Lisbon. It's well-located (near Campolide and Sete Rios), the front office staff are excellent, the restaurant is very pleasant, and the beds are super comfortable, both in the suites and standard rooms. This is where our son learned to walk in 2024, and where we'll always return whenever we're in Lisbon.

HHongxingshanshan0411The hotel is very easy to find, and it's located in an old building with European characteristics. The room even has a washing machine and dryer, which is very convenient and you can easily buy some groceries at the supermarket and cook them yourself. It's very enjoyable, and the surrounding area is full of beautiful scenery!

WWariyukiI won’t recommend this apartment though it is only less than 10 mins walk from the Martim Moniz metro station and the city centre. The apartment is located at the back alley of some old buildings. There were a lot of homeless people and wanderers at both ends of the alleys. The most unacceptable thing was that the alley was stinky with the very bad smell of urine and garbage. Since the apartment is inside the alley that car cannot go inside, even we took Uber, we still need to walk 2-min from either end of the alley to the apartment. Unfortunately we were assigned with a room on the ground level of the 4-storey apartment. To be exact, the room was slightly below ground level, meaning that we could see the feet of the people walking on the street through the 2 windows of our room. It was also a bit noisy when people talked on the street, parked their bicycle right at the windows of our room. Obviously we couldn’t open our windows or curtains, meaning that it was like staying in a room without windows. We have asked for a change of room. Since we were staying there for 7 nights, we also didn’t mind to change for only a few nights in the middle of the stay, however we were not provided with any option to change our room even though we booked this apartment 4 MONTHS ago (not the last minute customers). Besides, the sound proofing of the apartment was bad. We could hear everyone talking outside. Since it’s the ground floor unit, there were more people passing by and going up to different floors and in and out the building, all sounds were quite annoying especially during the late night. Among the 7 nights, there were also 2 nights having some sorts of alarm in the mid nights for over 30 minutes. All these issues were very disturbing too. Adding to it, the bed and pillows of the apartment were too hard and not comfortable to us. We didn’t have any good sleep unfortunately. Nevertheless the interior of the apartment was fine, spacious and clean. Decoration was modern, daily house-keeping was also fine. There were aircon, washer and dryer, a basic coffee filter machines but not Nespresso coffee machine.

AAnonymous UserThe room with bathroom inside the room with balcony. No curtains on the beds, the light can bother, no privacy. There is elevator, no problems with luggage. There is a kitchen, but is closed in the night time. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

GGuest UserThe room is spacious. Clean and has good amenities. It smelled bad inside the elevator all the time. The lobby isn't very present with dirty floors. Breakfast was average. The location was good for me, but a few metro stops away from the touristy spots. But it's a safe location w plenty of other hotel chains, office buildings and restaurants.

SSefy LevyThis hostel is located about 3km walk from the center city, but does have some close by attractions (such as the Jeronimo's Monetary) The room is extremely small, if you seat on the edge of the bed and try to stretch your legs, you'll most likely hit the wall. We had our room replaced, as the first room had zero privacy for the toilet and the second room gave the illusion of privacy (as you can see in photos) We've not seen any of the management, as everything is done thru WhatsApp to contact them and they will respond. Breakfast was OK, it had a bit of choices but there was more cakes and cookies then actual food.
