"We had a fantastic stay the MountainTrip resort. Even before arrival they helped coordinate a private transfer for us to get to Shangri-La. They picked us up from the airport for free (which is a long drive). We also used their free drive to nearby Baisha. The room was spacious, clean, and had plenty of amenities (fridge, free drinks, toiletries). The bathrooms were modern. When we arrived late they still offered us their daily tea and drinks. We had breakfast and a couple other meals at the hotel and always found the food delicious and well balanced. Attached a few of their daily menus. The family enjoyed petting and feeding their goats and ponies. They would give us food to feed them. The flowers were beautiful. Our stay will likely be a highlight of our trip to Yunnan. Thank you to the wonderful hotel staff!"

"The room had a projector, and the B&B even had streaming service memberships for binge-watching, which was great! You could see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the room, and it was cleaned very well. The owner was super enthusiastic and helped us with our luggage (even braving the rain to do so, many thanks!). The watermelon was also very sweet, and all the facilities were excellent. The third-floor viewing deck had amazing scenery, with a beautiful blue pool and lovely tables and coffee tables. The view was expansive, perfect for seeing Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and made for some fantastic photos."

"Even though my Chinese isn't great, and I didn't get to chat much, all the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They went out of their way to help, even using a translator. The mushroom hotpot restaurant they recommended, though pricey, was absolutely delicious and felt very upscale. During my stay, the weather was a bit overcast, so I didn't get to see the beautiful snow-capped mountains, but the adorable cats made my time there wonderful. Getting around by taxi was super convenient, and you can even walk to the ancient town of Baisha. The only real downside was the lack of a refrigerator in the room. However, it wasn't hot, so not having cold drinks wasn't a big deal. I hear Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is stunning in winter, so I'll definitely be back!"

"Traveling with my parents, I wasn't keen on climbing Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, so I did my research and chose 'Kui Ran'. It certainly didn't disappoint and deeply impressed this hotel-obsessed person! The outdoor scenery is just stunning; I honestly didn't want to go anywhere else, preferring to just stay in my room and enjoy the view. The coffee downstairs is absolutely delicious, even better than many of the big-name coffee shops in Shanghai. Unfortunately, I'm a bit prone to altitude sickness, so I couldn't drink too much. A special thanks to the kitchen staff, especially the lady who, knowing I wasn't feeling well, kindly made me a heartwarming bowl of congee. It was truly a lifesaver!"

"I originally just needed a layover in Baisha and picked a random guesthouse, but I ended up falling in love with it! The room was quite spacious, and while the decor wasn't luxurious, it was perfectly acceptable. The location is absolutely fantastic – nestled in a quiet alley, it offers a peaceful retreat while being literally a 10-second jog from Baisha's center. The courtyard is a beautiful labyrinth of flowers and plants, and the self-service laundry and breakfast are conveniently located in the inner courtyard. I have to especially mention the service; they were incredibly responsive and always ready to help. If you messaged in the group chat, even if the front desk was busy, another friendly staff member would quickly appear. Guesthouses nowadays are really stepping up their game! Afternoon tea, a sweet goodnight soup, and luggage transfer were all meticulously arranged. Fresh flower cakes, fruit, medicine, and bottled water were available for the taking. The front desk staff, who I believe is one of the owners, was always smiling and had a great time chatting about football and playing pool with my husband. When we weren't out exploring, we'd play Go, sit on the stairs and admire the snow-capped mountains, and play with Kele – it was just so relaxing. Kele is the guesthouse's dog, and she has the best personality, super gentle! My biggest regret this trip is not bringing some dog treats; I didn't dare buy yak meat from the street for her. And Kele, if anyone bullies you and breaks your head, your big sister will get revenge for you!"

"The path from Lijiang Old Town to the B&B is a bit narrow in some sections. Our Didi driver actually dropped us off less than 200 meters from the B&B, making us walk the rest of the way ourselves! Honestly, those 200 meters weren't actually that bad. The B&B owner apologized when he found out and upgraded our room! The room I originally booked already exceeded my expectations, but the upgraded room on the second floor was even more beautiful. From the floor-to-ceiling windows, you could see mountains and fields. The rooftop terrace offered expansive views, and occasionally you could catch a glimpse of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain's peak, though unfortunately, the clouds were too thick and there was no snow on the top. The B&B service was incredibly nice. The two young men working there were also very enthusiastic, not only helping us with our luggage but also giving us detailed recommendations for good restaurants and unique cafes nearby. They even gave us some fruit. The B&B is just a few minutes' walk from Baisha Ancient Town. The breakfast at the B&B was also very clean and exquisite!"

"Tired of the city's hustle and bustle? This place perfectly balances a quiet escape with easy access to everything. As soon as you open the courtyard gate, you're enveloped in a tranquil atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery, with only the sounds of the wind and the scent of flowers. We slept soundly, completely undisturbed by noise at night. Just a few hundred meters walk brings you to Baisha Old Town, where you can find all the food, drinks, and entertainment you could wish for. It's the best of both worlds – you can experience the lively buzz of the old town while still having your own private, peaceful sanctuary. The butler service was impeccable, responding promptly to our needs without being overbearing, which made our entire stay relaxing and comfortable. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the bedding was super comfy. Highly recommend for traveling with friends!"

"This is the first time I've felt compelled to give a strong recommendation! Five stars! This hotel really nails the ambiance. The decor is simple yet beautiful, with great natural light and a stunning view from the window. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, and I found the room to be incredibly clean and cozy. The bed was super soft, and the soundproofing was excellent – perfect for two people. The owners, both the husband and wife, were exceptionally warm, gentle, and polite. When I wasn't feeling well, the owner even messaged me and brought breakfast to our room. They helped us with our luggage, carrying it up and down. Upon checkout, the owner drove us to the station, and the wife even gave us some fresh flower cakes. Their attention to detail was evident everywhere – the hot water was great, and the bathroom projector was a nice touch. All the rooms are spacious and well-equipped. It's also conveniently located near many attractions, and food delivery was a breeze. All my travel fatigue was completely cured here. I highly recommend it for your travels and sightseeing!"

"I absolutely have to rave about this guesthouse! I booked a king-size room separately, and it truly was the highlight of my Lijiang trip. The room was about 50 square meters, so spacious and comfortable. During the day, I could sit on the balcony and enjoy an unobstructed view of the snow-capped mountains, and at night, I soaked in the hot tub, gazing up at the stars – all my day's fatigue just melted away. The bedding was also fantastic; the 1.8-meter king bed was incredibly comfortable. Even though I booked my room separately, my friends (who stayed in two other room types) and I had no trouble enjoying the common areas together. The large public terrace is so picturesque, every photo you take looks like it's straight out of a magazine. The butler service was just right, and the guesthouse even offers free parking, which is great for self-driving tourists. It's definitely worth a second visit; I'll bring my parents here next time!"

"Our stay at this hotel was truly unforgettable and exceeded all our expectations. The highlight is undoubtedly the breathtaking 270-degree panoramic view from the room. It’s the perfect place to slow down and appreciate nature. One of the most memorable experiences was the BBQ dinner held in the open field. Dining under the sky with the mountain backdrop was wonderful, and the evening became even more special with a local tribal dance performance where guests were warmly invited to join in. Every night ended with a spectacular fireworks display, adding a magical touch to the atmosphere. The hospitality here is exceptional. The owner and all the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. They even arranged a lovely birthday surprise for me, complete with a complimentary bottle of red wine, which made the celebration extra special. The hotel also provides a convenient shuttle service to the nearby town, making it easy to explore the area. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with breathtaking scenery, unique local experiences, and genuine hospitality, I highly recommend this hotel. One small suggestion for the hotel would be to consider placing more fly traps around the outdoor areas during the summer months.
