GGuest UserThis hotel is genuinely the best I've ever stayed in. Everyone there treated us with such sincerity and politeness, taking care of all our needs – food, lodging, and transportation – flawlessly. We felt right at home, incredibly comfortable. The food was delicious, and the environment was clean and luxurious; every photo I took looked amazing. I truly hope Manxiwan continues to thrive. Thank you to all the staff; I'll definitely be back for a second visit if fate allows!

GGuest UserI originally planned to stay for two nights, but the overall experience was so comfortable that I extended my stay for a third night.
**Environment:** It's very close to Bai Sha (White Sands), and I mostly walked back. If you prefer not to walk, the butler service for pick-up and drop-off is very enthusiastic and convenient.
**Cleanliness:** The cleanliness was impeccable, and the attention to detail was excellent. All bath towels and disposable cups were individually packaged. For the private hot spring, they even provided disposable bath liners, which was a thoughtful and thorough service. Plus, there's no need for a kettle; they have a water dispenser with adjustable temperature.
**Service:** The breakfast selection each morning was abundant, and the wontons and 'er si' (a type of rice noodle) tasted authentic. Since I was going hiking in the mornings, they even prepared breakfast bags for me in advance. The afternoon tea was good, though the desserts could be a bit more refined, haha!

AAAAwudixunmenglongPicking Shitoucuo was the absolute best decision for my relaxed May Day trip to Lijiang! A week before arrival, the hotel reached out to arrange airport transfers, check-in details, and an activity schedule. Anything we needed, we just had to mention it in the group chat, and it was handled immediately.
This time, I opted for a four-day, three-night package, which included breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea, so I didn't have to worry about what to eat. There was no need to plan my own itinerary; each day, I simply participated in the hotel's activities: mountain foraging, horseback riding, Naxi home visits, botanical specimen making, tea roasting, and a bonfire party. The May Day afternoon tea was a barbecue on the lawn, and it was incredibly pleasant to enjoy grilled food with a view of the snow-capped mountains.
Every day at Shitoucuo, I felt incredibly well taken care of! 👍

TTulip_jieThe room was very spacious and clean, with excellent facilities. On clear days, you can even see the snow-capped mountains from the hotel's public rooftop. They thoughtfully provided afternoon tea and warm milk every evening. They also offered shuttle services to Baisha Ancient Town, and the airport transfer service I booked was superb.

CCM772800****I never thought I'd find such a hidden gem in Lijiang! Houyuan is a 'home away from home' that I'd wholeheartedly recommend. It's not just another boutique hotel; it's the owner's family's 200-year-old ancestral home! The stone walls, wooden beams, and gray tiles all retain their original texture, with a strong sense of design. Yet, the underfloor heating and smart toilets in the rooms offer ultimate comfort. The collision of history and modernity is truly stunning.
Opening the window reveals the snow-capped mountains – I'd call this the 'ultimate snow mountain view'! You can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain reflected in the pond right from your room, and it feels almost within reach while having tea on the rooftop. My camera can't capture even a tenth of its beauty; you truly have to experience it yourself.
The owner remembers every guest's name and invited us to roast potatoes by the fireplace in the evening, chatting about Naxi culture. This 'feeling of coming home' is something a five-star hotel can never provide! You don't even need to plan your itinerary; her recommended hiking route to Yuhu Village is off the beaten path and absolutely stunning (PS: you *must* try the green chili sauce handmade by the owner!!!)
There's no hustle and bustle of the ancient town, only the sound of cow and sheep bells and the tranquility of the snow mountains. Riding horses up the mountain during the day, stargazing in the courtyard at dusk – this local culture, distinct from the busy city, offers a sense of relaxation that truly defines Lijiang, a perfect escape from the crowds.
Sharing a century-old home, a stretch of snow-capped mountains, and the genuine hospitality of a Naxi family – this is the happiest guesthouse I've ever stayed in!

GGuest UserLocated right at the entrance of the village, it's very convenient for self-driving, as going further in can lead to traffic jams. The entire guesthouse, including the courtyard, is beautifully and exquisitely designed. The room decor is high-end and cozy, and even the toiletries like shower gel are premium, making you feel comfortable using them. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The owners, both the husband and wife, are lovely and kind people, very warm and polite.

SSessseseDuring national holidays, secluded B&Bs/hotels are usually my top choice. Although getting there can be a bit tricky, they generally offer fewer crowds and beautiful scenery. This May Day, I chose Taohua Wu for a two-night stay, and it was truly excellent. For friends who love grand mountains and waters but aren't keen on climbing, I give this accommodation a five-star recommendation. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable, fully equipped with everything you need. Toiletries are Acqua di Parma, and bathroom fixtures are Kohler. There's a small detail I really want to commend: the room's projector comes with a pre-paid membership! It's the first time I've encountered such thoughtful service! The hotel's cafe allows you to sip coffee while overlooking Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from a cliff, enjoying the stunning views all to yourself, without the risk of altitude sickness from climbing the mountain. The hotel grounds are very spacious; you can ride horses in the pasture, go boating, and in the evenings, there's a bonfire and ******* tea experience, among other activities.
Although there aren't many staff members, they represent various ethnic groups. I learned a lot about different ethnic customs and interesting anecdotes from them. Everyone was incredibly observant, and it's the first time I've encountered staff who felt as warm and friendly as family! Whatever you needed, they were already getting the car started without a second thought – so reliable! The complimentary travel photoshoot was also fantastic; the two photographers were very skilled and there was absolutely no forced upselling. Most importantly, the hotel has three incredibly well-behaved cats (Mocha, Black Eight, and Li Kui) and two free-roaming dogs (Duoduo and Duole). Spending two days with them was pure joy. This hotel was the absolute highlight of my May Day trip!

Outstanding
DDanyAprillaThe cabin itself is stunning: sleek, warm, and thoughtfully designed. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the mountain like a living painting. Everything felt new, clean, and incredibly cozy. But honestly? The real beauty of this place wasn't in the interiors or the view, it was in the people.
The hospitality we received was unlike anything I've ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, we weren't treated like guests. We were treated like family. The hosts were so genuinely warm, so deeply caring, that I kept asking myself: are all Yunnan people this kind?
The sweetest moment came every morning at breakfast. A lovely grandmother from the kitchen would appear with a bowl of her homemade noodles, the most delicious, soul-warming noodles I've ever tasted. She didn't speak much, but her smile said everything. You could feel that she made them with love, just for us. It reminded me of breakfast at my own grandmother's house.
They checked on us without being intrusive, made sure we had everything we needed, and every small gesture came straight from the heart.
I came in with no expectations about Yunnan's people. I left with a deep belief that the people here have some of the warmest hearts I've ever known. Staying here didn't just give us a beautiful cabin with a mountain view, it gave us a memory of human warmth that will stay with us for a very long time.

GGuest UserThe full mountain view room was simply divine! Our room featured floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing us to lie in bed and watch the clouds drift lazily across the mountaintops, with every breath infused with the fresh scent of pine. The windows framed the mountain views like a living wallpaper; by day, it was a vibrant green tapestry, and in the evenings, the peaks were bathed in stunning orange and pink hues. Every casual photo looked like a cinematic screenshot.
The ”Golden Mountain at Sunrise” (日照金山) viewed from the rooftop was an absolutely unforgettable, breathtaking spectacle. Watching the snow-capped peaks slowly transform from steely grey to shimmering gold, with the first rays of light touching my face, it felt as if even the wind held its breath. This sheer, majestic grandeur is a moment no filter could ever hope to capture.
The evening bonfire party truly embodied the most vibrant and authentic local atmosphere. As dusk settled, the bonfire by the entrance sprang to life. Naxi aunties led everyone in traditional 'datiao' dances, the firewood crackled merrily, and songs mixed with laughter echoed up the hillside. We drank local rice wine and joined the circle, feeling the day's serene tranquility transition seamlessly into the lively energy of the night.
From the 'Golden Mountain' at dawn to the late-night bonfire, from the stunning mountain views from our room to the fresh scent of flora and fauna with every breath, this place perfectly blends the refined elegance of 'French-inspired rustic luxury' with the genuine, untouched spirit of Lijiang's wilderness. It creates a compelling reason to want to return and stay here again and again. Next time I visit Lijiang, I'll definitely be staying here again!

CChitrlada HarnWhen my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does. All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel. The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.
